Lol I'm still chuckling at the Elmo thing. It's just so deliciously absurd and I mean that the best possible way. I could easily see that situation breaking down like that. I loved all of the other drabbles as well. The bus one was just sweetness personified. The Angela one was just fun. I loved the horror element of the locker room bullying attempt. And the chocolate one was a great tease. I'm assuming that's for something that hasn't happened yet unless my memory is failing me, which it very well could be. But it does get your mind going with possibilities which was most likely the point. Well done! Glad to see you writing again!

It's funny...I only found out about this chapter of drabbles when I was flushing out the backlog of review responses on , because I was going back and re-reading stuff I reviewed. Though 3.25 years AFTER it was posted is a bit...sad?

Anyway! On to reviews!

31) Makes sense it was "the team" (presumably Dave, Marty, Todd and others in the know excluding Marcus and Mr. Lizewski) encouraging Mindy/Hit-Girl to maximize her social media exposure. I can see Mindy thinking it is nothing but a stew-pot of vapid inanity and retardation, but getting roped into it via Dave & Co. stoking her competitive streak and/or sense of superiority;

32) Change a select number of words here and I could swear this could be a scene where Dave is the stereotypical BF or husband following his lady love around while clothing shopping, paying just enough attention not to get yelled at or targeted for retribution when she asked about how something would look BUT out of it enough so he's not bored out of his skull.

Though "toy robot" back massagers are something you wouldn't find just anywhere...hmmm...idea percolating...Mindy shopping at Victoria's Secret...looking for a particular style/cut of underwear or bra (or both), because she wants look sexy for a post-patrol "debrief" but doesn't want to have to change first so she's looking for a style of sexy little nothing that won't affect her ability to decimate criminal scum (chafing, binding, etc.)...Dave being there is about practicality (she's not going to spend VS prices for something he's not going to drool over) and the dialogue about store layout can remain basically the same, though the "just pick one" bit of dialogue would need to be moved to the front so the reader can understand Mindy's head-space about not hampering herself just to feel/look sexy...maybe throw in some shade about Night Bitch?

33) I think the pussy doth protest too much, since if he wasn't jonesing on Mindy, he'd blow Marty off but apathetically;

34) Hmmm...like other reviewers, I definitely thought it was Mindy at first, having a vulnerable moment inside her head, but discovering it was Katie? A good plot twist, since it humanizes her and makes her less of the Anti-Christ that seems to be big in KA fanfic. Learning she has a crush on Dave is interesting and could definitely explain her behaviour in KA2 about treating Dave like he's a pedophile (if this was a missing scene)...the double-whammy of finding out he lied to her about his sexuality and then discovering he's now focused on someone younger than her that wouldn't classify as competition? Her pride will be suffering from a few body blows;

35) Another excellent bait & switch scenario, with the scene feeling more like a trap for criminals at first...until Mindy zones out and starts going through her metamorphosis. The sensory data you give us is great as well, since it's all from Dave's POV so it's graphic enough to show the horrible experience of what Mindy's going through but not having Mindy herself describe the intimate details of feeling your body break itself to pieces to rebuild itself anew. The fact that Dave still feels something strongly for Lycan!Mindy is also a good sign of how deep their relationship is, though I too would be wary of my girlfriend/partner wanting to get freaky just after her first change...control issues and all. Though I figure Mindy's final comment means she's not against equalizing things by turning Dave ;)

Re.: Short #35: I don't think that Mindy is a true Were; they are controlled by the Wolf and most of their higher brain functions fail during transformation (indeed, they seem to be even less intelligent than true wolves). She's probably Lycan instead, basically a human/anthrolupine bimorph but always fully sapient.
