Author has written 5 stories for X-Men: Evolution, Digimon, Harry Potter, My Little Pony, X-overs, and Disney. January 12, 2017: January 1 is normally the day of my annual profile update, but it was delayed this year. Changes in my favorites (such as a story being removed or added) are still at the bottom, and I've now cleared about three years worth of material from there (though it's archived in my personal files). Homepage: I have profiles on DeviantArt (anonemousejr. / ; joined August 2007), FIMFiction (www . fimfiction . net/bookshelf/137409/favourites?order=updated ; joined January 2014) and ArchiveOfOurOwn (username AnonEMouseJr; joined January 2017). Personal info: My online handle is Anon e Mouse Jr. (pronounced Junior). I am otaku, hear me geek. I spend WAY too much time surfing the net, reading fanfiction and researching whatever catches my fancy. When I'm not online, my computer time is usually spent writing down various plot bunnies (I have a zillion outlines spread over two separate machines at the moment), which I hope to eventually get organized and corralled for eventual posting somewhere (if only to put them up for adoption). Unfortunately, turning outlines into regular stories is not my strong point. Usually though, I can at least usually plot out most of a story, if I'm not interrupted while doing so. That's the other thing about me: I am HIGHLY prone to obsessive, narrow areas of focus. One such obsession is keeping my data (and other stuff) organized. Others include the various works of fiction that I get interested in. I can go on for HOURS about them in conversation if someone doesn't stop me. The upside of this is that I get a lot of details into my outlines and descriptions, and can usually catch and avoid plot holes that way. When I'm not on the computer, I'm usually either in front of the TV, reading something from my personal library of fiction (which mostly consists of sci-fi and fantasy), or wandering down to the local bookstore to browse, and if I can, actually buy something. (I have a lengthy - and by lengthy, I mean over a thousand volumes long - want-list of books. It's so big I've had to break it into three very organized sub-lists. What can I say, my obsessive tendencies strike again.) My fanfiction: In part because of my obsessive need to keep things in order, I don't post stories until I finish them (a very rare event), and I make sure to keep researching as I go so I can keep my facts straight. (That's part of the reason I take so long to get things done... the canon material keeps updating with new tidbits.) I'm not going to continue any of the stories currently posted. My XME fic is in desperate need of revision, and my second fic… well, I look back at it and can't believe I posted something so stupid. My one posted Harry Potter fic, on the other hand, I consider complete. If anyone wants to pick up where I left off, they're welcome to do so. However, as of spring 2015, I do have some good news: I've begun contributing to Saphroneth's "MLP Loops", which is also archived on FIMFiction, and other branches of the Infinite Loops (including the Jurassic Loops - my discussion and naming of Roxanne the T-Rex led to her Looping, and from there the formation of GarnettFoxy's "The Infinite Loops: Jurassic Park" compilation, home of all Looping dinosaur and kaiju universes. A full list of my contributions (officially published only for MLP and Jurassic Loops compilations) may be found on my Infinite Loops Wiki profile ( infinite-loops. /wiki/User:Anon_e_Mouse_Jr. ). Also, as of August 2017, I became head of the Disney/Kingdom Hearts Loops thread, and began compiling and archiving its Loops on this site. What I'll read: I read and watch a lot of assorted shows/movies/books, and the fanfiction based upon them. I am open-minded when it comes to new interests, and will not automatically dismiss something based on first impressions. I have a special fondness for crossovers, both the stranger ones and the more commonly-done ones. (Which explains why I have so many on my favorites list, and on my "To write eventually" list.) When written well, they can be very interesting... as long as the author has done their research. I also like some Elseworlds-style stories (where the characters wind up in a completely different setting), if done right. Pairing-wise, I'll read canon pairings, but I enjoy reading about unusual ones too, and will often search them out just for grins. (In regard to slash, I'll confess that I have a few fics with it on my own favorites list - usually because it snuck up on me. I tolerate it, but I don't go looking for it, and I WILL NOT write male/male pairings. Female/female is a whole other kettle of fish. What can I say, I'm a guy. Which is also why I like stories where the lead male winds up with multiple female partners, as long as they're aware of one another and he's not just cheating on his main wife/girlfriend/fiancee.) There ARE a few things that'll turn me off though. First and foremost, too many spelling and grammatical errors (using the wrong word instead of one that sounds the same) bug me. Second, when the author starts killing off too many of my favorite characters, especially when it's for no apparent reason other than to make the story "darker"? That REALLY cheeses me off. Third and lastly, glaring errors that indicate the author is just ignoring the source material. (Though I'll forgive it if they wrote the chapter or story before the canon information was revealed. On the other hand, changing an established detail just because they feel like it, and not because the change is part of the plot, annoys me.) My favorite franchises: Anime/manga (broken up so as to avoid large blocks of text) - A-L: Berserk (introduced to me by a good friend and coworker); Bleach (discovered the anime, own a fair chunk of the manga); Detective Conan/Case Closed (found the anime while channel-flipping one night); Digimon (saw it on Fox Kids back when the original 13 episodes were airing and got hooked); Dragonball/Z/GT (one of, if not the first, anime I watched); Fullmetal Alchemist (which I discovered when it started airing in Trigun's time-slot one night); Haruhi Suzumiya (one light novel series, three main manga series, introduced to me by the same guy mentioned under Berserk); Hellsing (mostly know via fanfiction); InuYasha (found while waiting for Case Closed to come on); Kingdom Hearts (got into it sometime after I first played the games). Anime/manga - M-O: Maison Ikkoku (from the author of Ranma One-Half, own two volumes of it); Naruto (didn't much care for the dub's voices, but the fanfiction won me over); Neon Genesis Evangelion (one TV series, one movie series and five manga series, which I learned of via a certain website and later had the chance to actually watch); Nightwalker (12-episode anime that I picked up from the Blockbuster I worked at); Oh My Goddess (mostly know via fanfiction, especially Ranma crossovers); One Piece (I'm not quite sure what prompted me to start reading the manga online; I have since acquired most of the manga). Anime/manga - P-Z: Pokémon (anime version, which I started watching just before the English dub of the Johto season came along); Pokémon Adventures (manga; discovered some years into the story); Ranma (introduced to me by the same guy mentioned under Berserk); Rin-Ne (from the same author as Ranma and InuYasha; her current work); Sailor Moon (mostly know it via fanfiction, especially Ranma crossovers); Tenchi Muyo (mostly know it via fanfiction, especially Ranma crossovers); Trigun (introduced to me by a friend in high school, saw the anime and later got the full manga series); Yu Yu Hakusho (found it on TV one afternoon and found it interesting); Yu-Gi-Oh/GX (found on Kids WB while looking for something to watch and got hooked, but haven't seriously followed it since GX ended). Anime/manga - miscellaneous: Others by Rumiko Takahashi (author of Ranma One-Half, InuYasha, Rin-Ne and Maison Ikkoku), and probably a few series I'm forgetting. Favorite cartoons: Almost any show based on DC or Marvel comics (the entire DC Animated Universe; Teen Titans; Young Justice; Green Lantern: The Animated series; Spider-Man: The Animated series; X-Men: Evolution; Iron Man: Armored Adventures; and others); Scooby-Doo; Gargoyles; Avatar: The Last Airbender (after finally getting around to watching the complete series in less than two weeks) and its sequel series; ThunderCats (both versions); Ben 10 (the complete franchise); My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic (officially, as of December 2013) and probably a few others. Favorite live-action shows: Power Rangers (from the beginning, including the Super Sentai franchise it was adapted from); the related Kamen Rider franchise, Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel, Firefly (and its movie sequel Serenity), Home Improvement; Smallville; Sliders; V (both incarnations); Once Upon A Time; and probably others I can't remember at the moment. I also read stuff based on some shows that I've never actually watched, such as House M.D., CSI and NCIS. (Mostly because they turn up in crossovers with other shows I like.) Favorite movies: I'll watch almost anything, but my favorites are... Action/Horror/Sci-fi: Daikaiju (giant monster) films, such as the King Kong series, the Godzilla series and the Gamera series; other film series/franchises such as Alien/Predator, Tremors, Star Wars, Star Trek, Underworld, The Chronicles of Riddick, the Evil Dead trilogy (Army of Darkness rules!), Stargate (one of these days, I WILL actually watch the TV series of this) and the Pirates of the Caribbean series; and some standalones. I used to be into certain Slasher flicks such as Friday the 13th and A Nightmare On Elm Street (I never watched the Halloween series). However, I burned out on the genre eventually because it got so dull and repetitive, and now I avoid most films that have blood and gore for the sake of blood and gore. Comic-based films: Just about anything based on works published by DC or Marvel. (And yes, I know some of these weren't that great. But I like them anyway.) Also, Spawn. Comedies: Ghostbusters, Men In Black, the Back to the Future trilogy, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (both film versions), and probably many others I'm forgetting. I also enjoy the Blue Collar Comedy group. Favorite books: R.L. Stine's Goosebumps franchise and Ghosts of Fear Street series; Bruce Coville's entire body of work; K.A. Applegate's Animorphs series; Piers Anthony's Xanth series; Orson Scott Card's "Ender's Game" series; John Bellairs/Brad Strickland's three supernatural adventure series; Stephen King's entire body of work; Steve Alten's entire body of work (which includes the Meg series, featuring a giant prehistoric shark); J.R.R. Tolkein's "Lord of the Rings" work (love the film editions as well); J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series; most of the Star Wars Expanded Universe; the Twilight saga (I read the books to see what the big screaming deal was, and found it interesting); Percy Jackson and the Olympians; and others. (And that's barely scratching the surface. My full want-list, not including manga, is pretty darn long. With manga, it easily cracks a thousand volumes.) Favorite comics: for comic books, I like anything from DC and Marvel; and the Spawn series (some one of these days, I need to read the full series of that). For comic strips, I mostly read Garfield, Calvin & Hobbes" (I own the three-volume "The Complete Calvin & Hobbes" set), Schlock Mercenary, and "Kevin and Kell". And probably a few others I'm forgetting. Favorite games: The Kingdom Hearts series. (And also Pokémon, but that's covered under anime/manga. I'm really not much of a gamer.) Other favorite stuff: If a series is listed in my Favorite Stories list, I probably like it. Or it's in a crossover with a series I like, and the fic itself looked too interesting to not read. Favorite stories section: My goal is to eventually have over 5000 stories on here. I update it when I have about 30 or 40 stories to add, and I NEVER pull a story - the only ones no longer here were pulled either by the authors of said stories or the site administrators. (Which really drives me nuts.) A note for those of you who have incomplete fics on my favorites list: keep up the good work and update when you can. (Or at least let your readers know you're still alive once a year - a brief note in your profile would be sufficient.) I'll be keeping an eye out. Favorite stories updates (note: I'll be clearing this part once a year, on January 1st, from now on - I still save it on my own computer though): 01/03/19: Clearing old news updates from the past two years; also, author “The Silver Bullet” has removed a handful of fics, including the Harry Potter/Once Upon a Time crossover “Dark Dynasty” (summary: Cora unknowingly fulfilled her bargain to the Dark One, she bore him a child. However, due to a realm jumper who is desperate for a savior and a couple of memory charms, she's unaware that she was ever pregnant. Fate, however, decides to intervene after Harry Potter's first year.) According to the author’s bio, he didn’t like the path it was going towards. Current status on my favorites: 4249 fics by 1974 authors. (Later) Addendum: It's been undeleted by the author because he got a lot of messages from people who wanted to read it, but isn't expected to be updated. 01/08/19: Author “NeonZangetsu” has removed another of his Bleach fics - “Kindness” (summary: He never once knew kindness, only abuse and mistreatment. Though they don't remember much, they still remember who they are. Yet in this new land of harmony and minimal crime, will they be able to be able to embrace the chance to finally live normal lives, or will they always be needed to heed the call?). No explanation was left; the fic itself is still available on FIMFiction, but the author’s profile there (under the name "Silent Bob") is apparently dead. 09/12/19: Author "The Sage of Toads" has removed two fics I had favorited - "Reload of ARSENAL" (summary: Evangelion - ARSENAL, reworked, improved, and with numerous things added and removed. Shinji Ikari arrives at Nerv with a mission to save humanity from the Angels, Seele, Nerv, and itself. Strap in and put on your flak vests, because it's gonna be a bloodbath.), and "The Key to a Successful Interview" (summary: Ranma - This is Ranma 1/2 shaken, stirred, and smashed with a baseball bat. Written with emphasis on accuracy, which was then completely disregarded for the sake of comedy, if you're reading this with fanonical misconceptions, prepare to be disappointed.). No explanation has been given, but the author still has other works on their profile. 09/14/19: Author "cloneserpents" has removed one fic I had favorited - "A Tale of One Kitty" (completed) (summary: Harry Potter - After a failed animagus transformation, Hermione seeks help from Harry and his girlfriend, Susan. Smut without a pesky plot or bothersome story. HP/HG/SB). No explanation has been given, but the author still has other works on their profile. 10/01/19: Author "lmadynis Rayne" has removed one fic I had favorited - "Time's Child" (summary: Buffy: The Vampire Slayer & Doctor Who - Rose lied on Bad Wolf Bay. She is the one pregnant...with the Doctor's son, Alexander. *UP FOR ADOPTION*). No official word was given, but the author has said that "there will be several 'dead end' stories that will be only uploaded to AO3", so this one may be getting moved there (the author’s handle on that site is just " Almadynis ".) 11/30/19: Author "hwer" (or ("HeWhoEscapesReality") has removed all fics, including one I had favorited - "Harry Potter & The Runic Affinity" (summary: Harry Potter - Following his fifth year, Harry finds himself depressed in self-induced guilt over Sirius' death, subconsciously altering the wards surrounding Privet Drive, forcing Dumbledore to move him to Headquarters. No explanation was given on their profile. 03/14/20: Author "NeonZangetsu" has removed yet another fic I had favorited: "Path of Peace" (summary: Naruto - What if Naruto awakened another power in the Land of Waves?
