I forgot to mention this in my original review, but when Luke talked about creating a new group of Jedi, ones loyal to the emperor but ensures he stays good, I got major chills. All I could think of was the Fel Dynasty and the Imperial Knights of the Legacy Era. Really great choice there, the Imperial Knights are a group that I think are underrated and underrepresented in fanfiction. They are a complex group, with a complex doctrine compared to the Jedi or Sith. I'm looking forward to how you will create Luke's Imperial Knights.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the next few chapters of this fic and for any of you Star Wars writing in general. I loved Shockwaves in the Unifying Force and An Extremely Well Put-Together Little Droid.

I have to say, I almost never venture away from ao3. I think its better than , tumblr, and any other site, but I came to for this. I created an account just to post a review, just to say this: This story is a masterpiece! I binge-read all of it thus far in a few hours, some of the best hours of my life. You took a very interesting idea, crafted every one of your characters brilliantly, and crafted an epic tale that I daresay is the best that I have read, ever. This story stands out above the rest, not just for its unique and well written plot, but for its unequaled incorporation of Star Wars lore. I have never read a fic that mentioned Bakura and the Ssi-ruu invasions, and this fic had parts take place in post-war Bakura. Never, ever, have I read a fic that featured Lumiya, or any other Emperor's Hand than Mara, and this fic has multiple. Never, have I read a fic that named more than 2 (canonical) grand admirals. Maybe its how I filter searches, maybe i'm not looking hard enough, or this fic stands out above the rest. (I think its the latter).

Anyways, I sincerely hope that you will continue writing for this fic and see it to its completion. I hope my words will give you motivation to do that, I know that many others believe that a jewel like this deserves to shine. Know that when a new chapter is released, no matter its length or level of action, it will make my day, and it will do the same for others. I can't wait for the next chapter, but until then, you can be sure that I will reread the entire thing.

Great story! Thoroughly enjoy all the various plot threads woven together. Having the various Moffs/etc come one at a time to meet the new Emperor (and thus get over the initial revulsion, or, if they are going to revolt do so in a very contained area where they can be disposed of) seems like a brilliant idea. Granted, the more people know, the less likely the secret will stay a secret. Like with Kovacs in the most recent chapter. Unless Skywalker can make a very, very convincing argument, I can't see this guy being willing to keep his mouth shut. Reluctantly cooperating? Yeah, that could happen if he thinks that'll save his life/career/whatever he values. But not telling anyone about who the one issuing orders is? Eh, seems unlikely. Of course, outside of his most trusted friends/family, not too many people might believe Kovacs! So it'll be interesting to see where you go with that - whether rumors are going to be flying high before too long.

Do you think Luke could make use of the Alliance? For example, order troops to quietly withdraw from someplace, which, considering the loss of life in the military, consolodating troops would make a lot of sense to those given the orders, so as long as they get those orders from Piett or perhaps Thrawn, this seems like something that could happen and have the Aliiance fill in the vacuum. Or, perhaps ask the Alliance to harass an area of Imperial frustration (like a sector that's likely to try to defect). I don't know, just a thought.

I still prefer the old lore of lightsaber crystals, that the Jedi use natural ones and the Sith synthesized theirs to mock the Jedi.

Every so often, a very good story catches one's attention despite one worrying about the dreaded hiatus. It is rather pleasant to see that this one has come back to life.

When’s the next update? C’mon, you can’t let an amazing story like this with a brilliant concept go to waste!

Also to reviewer godisme, that bit could actually work as part of the story, with the Allied Forces not knowing that and Luke and Piett only finding out when they go to Elrood Sector to find the ISD Thunderflare, since both It and the ISD Stalker under Captain Akal Zed are Death Squadron ships. They could even have it as Captain Pryl posing as a man by say, having one of her male officers pretend to be her or something like that.

Pryl is female by the way, other than that a solid first chapter.

Amazing story, and I admit I absolutely laughed out loud, literally, at reading the description! What a fantastic idea, and extremely well put together! All the characters are amazingly complex, and the plot is so intricate and multi-tiered I HAVE to label this as epic! I especially love your depiction of Luke, how he has grown so much in the force and as a man, how he’s no longer an innocent but certainly a symbol of light and hope! Agreed that in the latest movies, that was kind of what burned me the most - that, in a way, he failed. Fallen from being that symbol and inspiration. But not in this! Oh, and it’s so cool that you incorporated The Mandalorian into this! Looking forward to the coronation and Mara Jade’s stop on Tatooine!

It is fascinating to me how this is set, not in the movie-canon, but in the Legends(?) / extended-universe canon, which I had previously been completely unfamiliar with, and which I’m finding I may actually prefer! Of course, there lies my one little hopefully constructive criticism - could you maybe lay off the hate for us casual movie fans who simply don’t have a knowledge base of the extended universe? A couple times, reading your author’s notes, my thoughts were along the “holy crap I’m never writing for this fandom or they’ll SLAUGHTER me” lines. Maybe explain some common mistakes without using the f-word to describe the writers or their works? Just from the POV of someone who hasn’t written for SW before and kind of feels like any attempts of doing so in the future would be... very much unappreciated by an author I’ve come to respect. It may be funny to fans already familiar with all the characters and trivia to hear inexperienced writers being trashed for things like mixing up Nubian and Nabooian, but it is uncomfortable and disheartening to someone who very well might have fallen into those traps. It would just be nice to be inspired instead, you know?

Anyway, again, this really is an impressive fic and it’s incredibly clear that you’ve put a lot of hard work into the research and background for it. It’s definitely an ambitious and complicated piece, and very well executed! Well done!

I could subsist on a story containing merely of Cody regaling both alliance commandos and stormtroopers tales of the clone wars. Seriously, the amount of detail you’re putting into all these insanely wonderful interactions is making me devour this story at an unhealthy pace. Fingers crossed for a segment where Thrawn giggles at Zsinj for using a SSD instead of a single cloaked fighter loaded with bombs
