Reviews for Dudley Dursley and the Quest for Truth
Patty1965 chapter 17 . 5/31
This was an excellent story! It is really good to see a different perspective! I really wish you could add the epilogue, I would love to see what happened later. Dudley really has made some good friends there.

You made a little mistake. Petunia isn't dudleys aunt.
seldombites chapter 17 . 2/23
Ooh! I can't wait for the epilogue! I love this story. It's interesting to see Dudley develop as a character. Well done and thank you!
Skendo chapter 17 . 1/17
Where is our promised epilogue?

I have loved every chapter of this story! Thank you so much for writing it. I was looking for a story about Dudley during the end of the war, what he went through and his thoughts and feelings, and your story fit the bill completely! So thank you :) But I NEED the epilogue! ;p

This might be a bit nit picky, but having lived in Britain and Australia, almost every school in both those countries has a house system... just not one that sorts you based on your personality. Most often the houses are only for sporting teams, but in the schools I went to they were for “a sense of unity and sibling hood” and all that shit. Sometimes schools have house meetings every week, or even more often than that.

You’re sorted into a house at random, unless you have an older sibling or cousin who goes/went to that school, then you will be sorted into their house.

Seeing this, I think the fact that Dudley likely would’ve gone to a prestigious private school (iirc) due to his parent’s doting on him and their firmly middle class ways of living... well, Dudley’d be EXTREMELY hard pressed not to know what houses were. You have a house from prep to twelfth, and Dud’s in.. eleventh (?) this year.

Benny chapter 17 . 4/29/2019
That was a wonderful read. I never gave full attention towards the other sides of the war before, especially in relation to our hero’s cousin. But reading from another person’s - a non-magical, formerly antagonistic one at that - perspective was refreshing. It’s been an experience, journeying with Dudley as he discovered more about his estranged cousin, his mother, and himself over the course of the war, though not without his past sins and mistakes. I thank you truly for writing (and coming back to) this story :)

OH DANG! I read this from start to finish in a single sitting, and I have to say, I loved every minute of it! I really like the direction you took this, especially because I feel we didn't get enough of Dudley realising how important and brave Harry is in the books. I also really liked Petunia's redemption! Thank you for writing this awesome story!
Maggie chapter 17 . 2/7/2019
