I seriously love your OC's they are so fun to read and learn about especially the quirks that people for some reason tend to forget. (This is pot talking about kettles). Ignore anyone that says otherwise and keep it up! I hope even after you finish TRD you will still write about these guys. :)

XD I haven't read This Bites but thanks to your little piece of work here I'm seriously considering it (though it's flipping 1000k long). This had me cracking up so hard, imagining the straw hats' adventures as something close to a live-stream(? did I get that right?). Oh yeah. Wonderful. :D And throwing in your wonderful characters and their perspectives on it, and the HUMOR...*sigh* it's brilliant. And it reminds me why I get anxious every time I think about Tomorrows Romance Dawn and it's lack of updates (But I Don't Mean To Make You Fell Bad!) because I seriously, obviously can't bear the excitement and the awesomeness and the cliffhanger and so forth. *Applause* Woohoo! That turned out well, don't you think? I think that ended very nicely :D We had some nice segues back into Tomorrow's Romance Dawn, but also some pretty great character development that stood alone. I liked that we got some more info on Erity and her relationship with her identity as a newkama, and a little bit of Vaughan's past going on there too! Detox was pretty sweet btw, drivers ed taught me about BAC, now I see where it is applicable XD. Before he'd explained I thought that maybe he was just separating the blood from the alcohol, but having pure alcohol in the body rather than it being dispersed would pretty much kill you so I'm glad you had a different interpretation! *thumbs up*
Your fics are always a riot :D You've got just about everything under the sun, and you do it pretty well. This one was a joy, thanks for it, it makes Tomorrow's Romance Dawn all the better, and it's pretty great standalone too.

I really love how you transition between scenes and perspectives, you've got this whole mirror image thing going on, which from your author's note I can take as drawing similarities in Vaughan and Erity. Oh hey, random piece of info, I'm in the marching band, and one of the pieces we were playing was by some guy named Vaughan (or maybe it was his middle name?) But all I could think about was this story:) Made my day tbh.
Yay! Erity got her comeuppance! Does she know any other weird/cool words?

I feel both excited to get to the main story, and to hear that this will be a Drabble series! I think this adds character development to your characters (excellent characterization, by the way!), and they're very lovable. While it isn't needed to understand the characters, it's a nice touch, and I like it separate from the main story so I know what 'mode' to read in. (Otherwise, I'll be voting who I want ticked off...hehe...) either way, good work!

Oh, drabbles. That's a brilliant idea. They allow skipping out on stuff that otherwise would be written out. Great new chapter. :) It hadn't seemed that the attack on Vaughan's home island was more than a tragic coincidence before, but now it makes me wonder about the back story with that. I'm guessing it has connections to Vaughan's secrets. Which would mean though luck for him.

(By the way, have you thought about getting help with the fighting scenes if they trouble you so much? I'm sure for you there will be many volunteers and you could choose how much help you want with that too - 25/50/70% or the like. - Just a suggestion.)

Now I dislike Eriks even more! He's a hypocrite! :P 'I'm so refined', you partake in slave trade. 'We have class and dignity!' Really? So Erity doesn't?
I try to stay out of the sexuality question but I am an advocate for their rights, if only because I think people are being jerks by patronizing people for things like that. I won't go into detail, but I'm more or less with Vaughan on that question.

That pirate crew is a bunch of sissies. Which isn't to say they aren't strong, but they're annoying as heck. Also, that captain is a bad captain. He should listen to his crewmates a little better, and figure out that he's human and can all too easily make mistakes. Here he seems in good shape but knowing Erity and Vaughan...

Another thing I really like is the Darwin references, it's very nice to see some 'fact' implanted in the story, and the craziness makes it resolutely One Piece - esque.
Also, sweet! Vaughan and Erity are together again, which means we can all get back to enjoying their constant and witty bickering!

I'm sorry I haven't gotten a chance to really review these chapters, I've been busy lately. I know that reviews are incredibly important to a writer so I shouldn't have put them off, but here they are now!

This chapter, I really like the connections between the past and the present, like the names of the ships, and the way you've worked out all the dates and there're events that happened that are mentioned but not explained but we have to keep thinking "I wonder what exactly all that was about?" It's really very well done.
