Warning: This fic is un-betaed and will most likely stay un-betaed. There will be mistakes and misspellings. There will be things that don't match up with what I wrote before (feel free to point out those mistakes). This is called writing by the seat of my pants. I lost myself as a writer, I think, by participating in fest after fest – it's time I wrote for myself again.

Notes: Double post because they're both small.

Chapter 35: Epilogue

Loki waited calmly for his one request to be answered and, sure enough, after a few hours Harry Potter walked into the room. With his mind clear for the first time in what felt like ages, Loki could finally get a good look at the so-called savior. Still scrawny, but with a hint of power if one knew where to look. Loki knew exactly where to look.

"I'm here," he said, arms crossed over his chest. "What do you want?"

"Just your life." Loki uncurled himself and walked to the glass. "Or, should I say that I want you to live. There is this pesky inconvenience of poison you have going on."

Harry sighed, tilting his head up to the look at the ceiling. "Can we just get on with whatever this is? I've had more than my fair share of melodramatic villains."

"I am not the one you should be thinking of." Loki motioned a chair closer with his finger before taking a seat. "Should I tell you who you should truly be afraid of?"

"Could I trust you to tell me the truth?" Harry stepped closer to the glass. "You are the God of Lies, are you not?"

Loki's lips quirked. "So I am."

Harry watched him for a moment before waving his hand, wincing as his magic pulled a chair up for him. "I suppose you should tell me so I can confirm what you say."

"Unfortunately, you can't confirm. You just have to trust." Loki leaked forward. "But perhaps you should speak to Thor. I may be a liar, but I do not abandon worlds to the hands of destruction."

Something in Loki's eyes caught Harry's attention and while he knew he had a lot more people to deal with now, he still leaned forward. "And if I choose to believe you, what do you want in return?"

"Sanctuary."

Harry's eyes widened for a moment before looking up to where he knew the hidden camera was. With a flick of his wrist, he turned it off before focusing back on Loki. "You need me specifically to help fix this."

"Not fix. Defend." Loki did nod. "You are a great asset."

"Okay. I give you sanctuary for this, then you have to fix something for me."

"Your heart?" Loki glanced to Harry's chest. "Yes, I suppose I can do that."

"Good." Harry stood. "Then let's get started."

Loki smirked and, with a simple breath, they were both gone.

So this is done – FINALLY. You guys definitely deserved better. Epilogue is here because if I do continue, this is then a teaser for where it would go. Might do a small one-short because the idea is still there. Either way, this was a ridiculous journey you guys took with me and I appreciate it.
