I bid you salutations and welcome, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Knightmare Frame Razgriz - I also go by Knightmare, Razgriz, KMF, KFR, or just Raz. I'm a university student studying Mechanical Engineering in the U.S., and writing in my spare time because my creative mind would otherwise wither and die under the weight of mathematics and physical and material sciences.

Status Update: 28 July, 2019

It's been a minute since I posted a status update, never mind a new chapter. I came home for the summer and immediately went to work as a construction laborer, and have been working twelve hours a day, six days a week ever since, and spending my days off resting or doing other essential tasks that have piled up over the course of the work week.

Chapter 7 of To Serve With Honor is roughly thirty percent complete; however, I have hit a wall in that I have not had a long enough continuous period of time in which to contemplate and plan out how to further proceed with the chapter.

As such, I'm officially declaring a short hiatus on TSWH, pending a further status update in late August.

I will be returning to school and my apartment in the last week of August, and I plan to use what will probably be my only week of summer vacation before classes start to at the very least complete and post Chapter 7, after which I will need time to evaluate my workload for the semester before determining a concrete timeline for further writing.

I sincerely apologize for the unexplained delays, and I thank you (all twelve of you that actually visit my profile page) for your patience and support.

Premise: Young prospective Huntsmen and Huntresses arrive at Beacon Academy, cast out by society because of their unique abilities tied to unique and powerful creatures of Grimm. With their arrival comes the appearance of a mysterious being that displays characteristics and abilities of both Humans and a Grimm. Ozpin recognizes the being as the product of an experiment thought long dead and buried, and that it is capable of taking the guise of a human - and, armed with an unknown agenda, may hide amongst the ranks of his own students. Meanwhile, Cinder Fall must atone for her past failures by investigating rumors of the creature she had once believed to have been lost - Salem's Champion, the White Rider of Grimm.

Premise: Specialists Winter Schnee and Jonathan Amsel of the Atlas Military arrive in Vale to investigate a string of robberies and attacks that threaten the stability of the entire Kingdom. But while Professor Ozpin reveals Winter's companion as the two-years-absent Jaune Arc, can the young man truly claim to have emerged from his days of service in the Atlas Foreign Legion unscathed?

A Rose In An Eclectic Bouquet (Working Title)

Category: RWBY

Characters: Ruby Rose, Hei "Junior" Xiong, Roman Torchwick, Yang Xiao Long

Premise: Hei Xiong and Roman Torchwick, decorated Huntsmen and alumni of Beacon Academy, run afoul of a pack of Beowolves attacking a pair of children in the woods of Patch. After encountering the famous Qrow Branwen and learning that the little girls are the daughters of Taiyang Xiaolong, who remains in the grip of crippling depression following the disappearance of his second wife, Hei and Roman feel morally obligated to report the situation to their old professor, now Headmaster Ozpin of Beacon. What the pair did not anticipate, however, was being assigned custody of Taiyang's physically and emotionally scarred youngest daughter, Ruby Rose, and earning the eternal ire of her sister, Yang Xiao Long.

To Serve With Honor - Chapter 3

Paul, Carmen, and Chief Reagan are, of course, all leading figures in the Vale Police; and as such will will play recurring roles in Jaune's career with the department. Most of them are pretty hard to nail down now, but I invite everyone to keep an eye on them over time and see if you can pick out their respective fictional bases (here's a hint: one or all might come from live television).

Carmelo Paxton the part-time White Fang fighter is an entirely original character (to my conscious knowledge), and will continue to serve in the future as an insider perspective on life within the Valean White Fang. He's down and out of the fight for now, but he'll come back into play in the next chapter to wrap up the situation and get eyes on a critical transition within the plot.

Alvin the White Fang Chipmunk Faunus is a shameless ironic cameo that popped into my head while I was planning Paxton, and I decided to roll with it.

Tiny Voice and Old Man Shopkeep are canons - but one is not so canon as the other. We'll learn a little more about that as we get into life in Vale later on.
