TommyTurner chapter 1 . 1/9/2019 This is honestly amazing. I don't know why it isn't more popular. update, please. you are the sole reason i ship juane/hang. |
G-Unot chapter 5 . 4/3/2018 I have really enjoyed this story thus far, when I first started reading I thought it would just be some disjointed drabbles, starting with Mercury wailing on Jaune. You've definitely exceeded expectations with this narrative whereby you can really feel what Jaune has lost whilst also keeping things optimistic with what he potentially has to gain in the future. Also the characterisation of RWBY and co was on point and accurate. |
Josh Spicer chapter 5 . 5/12/2017 Sucks RWBY writers will never come up with something like this. |
I HATE HIM, ALL FOR REMANANT WITHOUT ROJAS. Espero que puedas actualizar pronto |
I won't be here long chapter 5 . 3/21/2017 I really enjoyed this. Maturely handling the relationships between characters, deceased and otherwise was great. Jaune was believable, the pairings weren't over the top, and the ending was bittersweet. Hope you continue it sometime, I'll look forward to it! |
Guest chapter 5 . 3/15/2017 I'd have another year pass, having stories spread of a lone soldier laying waste to Grimm and Salem's forces alikr |
Suzaku21 chapter 5 . 3/14/2017 hope to see more of this fantastic story |
TheLastChronicler chapter 5 . 3/10/2017 Terribly disappointed to see you leaving this here, as it doesn't really provide a sense of closure nor seem like a good place to end things. It's a solid beginning to an excellent story that I badly want to read a lot more of, but I can't call it a good ending; it feels like a pretty arbitrary place to call it quits. The content itself is really, really enjoyable apart from that, though. Each character has a great deal of emotional weight to them, but in very believable ways that are logical extensions of what's already happened in canon. A perfect example is Yang feeling betrayed and angry with Blake and not wanting to leave Jaune, which fits perfectly both with her demonstrated character (probable abandonment issues in canon and growing angry with Ruby in the V3 finale over Blake 'running away') and what has been revealed to have happened in prior to the start of this story between the first chapter and current canon (Jaune, Weiss, Ruby and Yang formed Team JWRY and have been working together ever since). This one example alone makes for a kind of character dynamic that is way more faithful to the characters' personalities than most fics generally tend to bother with, and yet is still the kind of unusual divergence that's fascinating because it's different from canon. I really do hope that there's more to come in the future, whatever form that happens to arrive in (future updates, sequel, etc). I love what I've read so far, and the only weak part of it is that it seems to have ended so abruptly. |
Derone97 chapter 1 . 3/8/2017 Now i want to see jaune team up with winter dammit Ps: waiting for a continuation or a sequel |
Mr.Hamvich chapter 5 . 3/7/2017 Accidentally posted a review earlier without logging in oops, anyways I'm a bit surprised that it already ended but even so it was such a satisfying read and I can't wait for the continuation later on. Hopefully with time this story will earn the attention it deserves, have a good day now. |
war90 chapter 5 . 3/7/2017 Good story looking forward to your next chapter. |
Lazylifeguard chapter 5 . 3/7/2017 Read through all of this in one go. I hope you do make sequels |
Neetti chapter 4 . 3/6/2017 Yay! Those jungle book references. XD Cool story so far. I like how you have painted the world using snippets of vol 4 while also using imagination. Poor Ren and Nora... I have a feeling we are going to despise lionheart in the future. |
Guest chapter 5 . 3/6/2017 What? No! The Story has so much promise |
Dark-Syaoran chapter 5 . 3/6/2017 This story was much more enjoyable then what I thought it was going to be when I first started reading it. The little hints of past battles and tragedies really give a weight to what they are now living through, and I thought the characters interaction with each other was great. Perhaps the only thing I didn't like was the romantic aspect. Not that I dislike the pairing in any way, but I felt like it distracted from a lot of things. It would have been much better if it was just a strong platonic bond with a hint of perhaps something more rather than the blatant feelings that were on display. More subtle, with a possibility of something in the future sequels. Chapter 2 was probably my least favourite chapter, as I really dislike when two characters tell another how they feel. It always feels like a cheap way to force the person to confront the issue and if nothing else, if I were in Yang's shoes, it would be incredibly annoying having people tell you what you feel for someone else. Other than that, everything else was pretty great. |
