Ah yes, Irish Neopolitan. I never thought I'd see that and honestly, I half-expected Jaune to take off his armor and use sex appeal to protect the Relic. Dunno, that just seems the crackiest way to go.

Despite the luck that went into it, Jaune has a VERY valid point of practicality versus usage.

Well this got me to smile a fair bit, Jaune's armor is sadly useless but it looks pretty god damn cool which is good enough.

Also apparently Aura isn't what fuels their super strength in RWBY as Qrow loses his and then beats the shit out of Tyrian anyways, so having it as a defense after you lose Aura is worth a little. Not much but a little, still since Aura is something you now have to turn on, I'm not surprised that people usually don't bother to wear Armor, it's sadly not a smart thing to wear when at the very least Aura is something much lighter and better.

I mean, to be fair, the only ones we see wear armour are Jaune, and Pyrrha. Yeah her's is still fairly revealing, but compared to everyone else it's still much more. And she was the best fighter in her year.

I admit I was cackling at this cause as a fan of medieval/classical history, armor and RWBY I was always annoyed by the lack of armor and how they dissed it the show. While Aura is awesome a good suit armor will cut the expenditure of Aura massively in defense so it can be refocused on offense,General physical boosts or semblance use.

But you know what? Everyone was right in this fic. Jaune saying that the armor is more about his identity than practicality, and Oscar for pointing out just how useless armor is in RWBY.

And where DID Oscar even get money to buy a whole new outfit? Big coats like that aren't cheap, you know. He should have bought Neo something to cover her cleavage while he was at it.
