Thank you Malon, you have sense, and finally we see a consequence of Link's killing
thecagedsong chapter 12 . 1/3/2018
so im trying to get into this, but I'm at chapter 12 and it's still rough. The fact that Link is a murderer is glossed over, he keeps whining about how the world rejected him and apparently he now gets to kill anyone who looks at him funny. now Zelda is running to the arms of a murderer. I'm going to give it three more chapters but this is bad.

truly great piece of work. in a sea of garbage, this is a hidden treasure. I just hate that you made me want more
nemmeth chapter 89 . 9/1/2016
Something made me remember this story again and I was very gleeful to find this story completed! I recently found a very embarrasingly old scribble of Zelda and Demon which must have been drawn around 8 years ago when I first encountered this fiction. Having reread everything in a couple of days I fell in love with this story and its characters just like in the past. But this time, I was very thankful I could read it from beginning to end in one go. That was quite an emotional rollercoaster which I gladly let myself into once again.

My opinion about the ending is that it is rather vague, and certainly not satisfying at first sight, like a normal novel where everything ends on a good note. But after I let the story sink in, I realized it was a very fitting ending for this kind of fiction. I didn't mind the experimentations and many storylines through the entire story, I actually welcomed them. It is what made me come back to the story time and time again over the years (and I am also just a horrible sucker for angst, I will not deny it).

You mentioned you hoped this felt like just one tale, part of many. I think the ending made sure of that as there are many unanswered questions about this universe. You weaved many storylines of many characters and only ended the main storyline. Left many unanswered, leading to the reader's (or at least mine) curiosity of their fates. So long story short: yes, I do think you succeeded in creating that feel. I also understand your choice of not focusing on Fanfiction anymore. It saddened me how little reviews you got for this last chapter, but for a reader like me, this Fanfiction was extremely rewarding. So thank you! As long as you are typing away on other projects! Because your writing style is very pleasant to read. I'm an amateur writer so I'm not really able to give too much feedback as I don't have too much knowledge and experience.

Also, going a bit more in-depth with the main characters fates: I felt my heart twist coldly when Demon went back into the portal as I really disliked the old Zelda because of her craziness and my heart went out for the young Zelda whom we followed for many chapters and struggled, rejoiced, despaired and hoped with her. So many things she had to endure in this twisted version of the end of the cycle. She had a version of herself that kept her from her powers which would otherwise save many people, she had to return hope to the fallen hero and endlessly defend him towards the others but also herself, in the beginning, she had to see thousands of people, fight for a country other than their own and yet fall dead on foreign lands, for her sake alone, had her friend betray Demon and indirectly her, her ex-fiance betray her, had to die, and worst of all, losing Demon which she always had fated to lose anyway as the older Zelda was always in his mind.

...And rightfully so! Despite all the hardships of the young Zelda, I then think of the older Zelda. When I imagine the struggles the old Zelda had endured, mirrored by Demon's hardships, I suddenly felt more content and understanding with the ending. Still, poor, poor young Zelda, but at least she has her kingdom back. :)

Alright, on a last note, I also want to commend you for how you wrote and fleshed out the characters. It made this a very enjoyable read, gave each and one of them a different face and feel. Along with the descriptions of the scenery and random small things (like a fly bumping against a tent canvas for example), it made the world come alive for me. And also made me very curious what happened to them. But that, is not the main storyline of this perspective. Thank you, once again, Celeborn00 for this very enjoyable read and its closure!

Knife count: 15
He could probably hold at least thirty without the noise alerting anyone, and without running out of space. 45 at most...

I can honestly say I really enjoyed this story. You're author quotes were humours, informative, interesting and 're a great author, and I justify saying this from the knowledge that you have driven me to read an 89 chapter FanFic about Legend of Zelda with a ZeLink pairing, one I avoid with a passion. I would normally encourage the author to keep writing here, but I understand why you would not want to write another fanfic- so instead I'll say thanks for the story! You've provided me with more entertainment than most of my favourite fan fiction (You just can't deny the BlackDragon)!

Geniuses have made worse work than this. Tolkien himself would be proud to call himself an avid reader of Forgotten Demons. Hold your head high, and be proud, for I've seen little who deserve pride more than you aftre this long journey. Rejoyce, for now your are forever imprinted in us.
I have thousand words I would like yo say, but suddenly I find myself with no more than this: Be proud.

I was here to say something about the ending but I can't figure out how exactly to say it so I will just leave saying that I greatly enjoyed this story.

It's the end! I almost can't believe it, I feel like I've been following your story for like 7 years. It's something I often like to say is my personal favorite, and I'm pretty sure it's still true. I love the world and characters you brought to life in Forgotten Demons, but I also love the way you interplayed it with the Legend of Zelda world it was based in. It's a unique twist that's still respectful of the source material.
As for your ending specifically, I think it definitely ended on a good note - the final fight followed by Demon's exit into the sacred realm; the epilogue within the epilogue suggesting the possible resolutions that could have played out after; even poor Zelda locked in her room while Hyrule rebuilds. It's suggestive of something more "real" for these characters but leaves the possibility for good, if only the characters can live up to the challenge.
I'm sad to hear this will be your only fabrication, but I guess you'll be busy with your own world and material to write. I'll have to keep a look out for your writing, haha! I wish you the best of luck in life and in your writing!
