RWBY:
The Blond And The Valkyrie
By typicalteenager.
Disclaimer: I do not, and never will, own RWBY and anything related to it (except maybe my OCs: Oh, like you haven't made your own RWBY OC!). Which is a good thing, as I never would have come up with something so awesome and enjoyable.
Anyway, on with the show.
Chapter 5: Weiss she wearing those clothes?
To Nora, it was so obvious. Why hadn't she thought of it before? It was like pancakes being delicious: the facts were as clear as day.
Fact 1: Jaune likes Weiss.
Quite why Jaune liked Weiss was something Nora didn't get. Quite why anyone would like Weiss was also something Nora didn't get.
Well, obvious Weiss must like Weiss, otherwise Weiss wouldn't be Weiss: she would be someone else. But then she wouldn't be Weiss, except she would, she would be Weiss but without being Weiss.
Something along those lines.
Fact 2: Weiss's appearance must form part of the reason for Fact 1.
This, again, was clear was day. It was, after all, the basis of the whole 'Love at First Sight' thing. When you fell in love at first sight with someone, you didn't know anything about them apart from what you could see. Add in the fact that Weiss had such a mean personality that was unlikeable, and clearly the bulk of the reason for Jaune's liking of Weiss had to do with her appearance.
Fact 3: She, Nora, likes Jaune.
Again, that was as obvious as pancakes being delicious.
Fact 4: Nora wanted Jaune to like her.
Well, like her more. She already knew Jaune liked her, as his frequent red faces and nosebleeds made clear, but she wanted him to like her solely, or at least be the one he liked the most.
So, on the basis of Facts 1 and 2, and with the desire to fulfil Fact 4, the clear way to get Jaune's attention to focus on her was to be a bit more like Weiss. And since Weiss had a mean personality, the best way to go about this was to have a similar appearance.
Which was why she was hanging outside from the window ledge of the window to Team RWBY's Room in the early hours of Saturday morning, waiting for them to clear the room.
The Cafeteria that morning saw Teams RWBY and the J, P, and R, of JNPR enjoying a lazy, relaxed breakfast.
Or at least that was the intention. It was made a little more difficult with 5 of the 7 members sitting there lost in their thoughts.
The other 2, which were Yang and Ren, really were having a lazy, relaxed breakfast.
Ruby was pouting. Weiss, with Blake's help, had found Jaune's Onesie hidden inside her pillowcase, and taken it from her and thrown it out of the room, leaving Ruby upset, embarrassed, and annoyed.
Weiss was also annoyed. It was bad enough that Nora was behaving in such an inappropriate manner, but now Ruby as well. Ruby could be aggravating enough as it was, without this new found behaviour in regards to Jaune. After all, Nora was effectively keeping Jaune out of her hair: she didn't need Ruby pulling him back in.
Blake's mind was filled with naughty thoughts. Having realised that Ruby was willing to try and nab Jaune from Nora, her mind was filled with more adult ideas in regards to the situation, and her willpower was losing the battle to stop it.
This was the reason why she had slipped out and retrieved Jaune's Onesie when no-one was looking, and hidden it away for later use.
Pyrrha was feeling conflicted. On the one side, she was still thinking of any way to get Nora away from Jaune so she could have him herself, so then she could work out what she wanted from him. On the other, a new part of her had noticed her expression in the mirror when thinking such thoughts, and felt horrified at the face she was making. Pyrrha had disliked and even been disgusted by people in the past, but she'd never reacted this way to anyone before, and she didn't like how it was affecting her. She hated these feelings stirring within her, and how she had no control over them. So she slowly ate her breakfast, wondering how to deal with the situation.
Finally, Jaune was feeling very nervous. His Onesie had gone missing, and while he had been able to sleep in his shirt and underwear, he couldn't help but worry where it had gone and who had taken it.
However, his far greater concern was that Nora was missing. As awkward as it was to have her around him all the time, at least then she was where he could see her, whilst right now he had no idea where she was or what she was up to, hence his nervousness. He somehow knew that when he next saw her, things were going to go very badly for him.
Such feelings would have been reinforced if he knew that, at that very moment, Sun and Neptune were once again outside at the window of the cafeteria, waiting with Sun's scroll, set to record and focused on Jaune, for Nora's latest display of love.
They were not to be disappointed. And Jaune's nervousness would prove to be well-founded.
As they sat there, the seven Hunters and Huntresses-in-training began to notice people around them murmuring and gasping, followed by the clicking of scrolls as they were used to take pictures. The noise was getting louder, as whatever was causing this was moving closer.
Jaune, who had his back to the noise, dropped his forehead onto the table and groaned. He didn't need to look to know that it was almost certainly Nora. Letting out a sigh, he raised his head from the table, allowing him to see the faces of Team RWBY, who were facing the source of the commotion.
Ruby's and Blake's faces were bright red, their mouths open and expressions of shock present. Yang's face was also bright red and expressed shock, but her mouth was tightly shut and her cheeks puffed up, trying to hold in a laugh.
And Weiss?
Jaune had, with some reluctance, looked up Sun's videos on The Blond Bomber, the title he had given to Jaune and Nora's…. relationship. He had seen the way his face had imitated someone suffering a stroke when presented with Nora wearing his Onesie, and his failed attempts at talking being decent goldfish imitations.
Weiss' face was currently bearing that same stroke-suffering, goldfish-imitating expression.
Gulping, and taking a quick glance at his teammates' faces (Pyrrha's face sharing Ruby and Blake's expressions, and Ren sharing's Yang's), turned to look behind him, even as he heard a very familiar voice say "Hi Jauney!"
The sight that greeted him was every bit as bad as he could have imagined.
Nora stood before him, her typical big smile plastered on her face, and a tray filled with pancakes in her hands.
It was her clothes that were the source of all the commotion. Mainly because they weren't her clothes.
The clothes she was wearing belonged to Weiss.
Being of similar size, Weiss' white dress mostly fitted Nora quite well. Her arms fitted through the sleeves with space to spare, and the pale blue ribbon was tied around her waist comfortably. There were only two indications that would tell the casual observer they were not her clothes. The first, and the part that was getting to Jaune the most, was that her naturally larger bosom was straining to fit in the chest area of the skirt. The second was that, instead of Weiss' high heels, she was still wearing her usual white trainers with pink shoelaces.
Somehow, that seemed perfectly what one would expect of Nora.
As his brain remembered that they were currently in the middle of a busy cafeteria, with Nora standing in plain sight for all to see Jaune did the first thing he could think of. He got up, leaving the rest of his breakfast, grabbed Nora's arm, and led her out of the cafeteria at a brisk pace.
The other occupants of the cafeteria stared at the door the two had gone through, unmoving and most of them quiet.
The exceptions to this were Sun and Neptune, both of whom were roaring with laughter, tears running down their eyes, as they staggered away to go upload their recording of the whole incident onto the inter-scroll network.
A few moments later, the air was filled with an inhuman scream as Weiss finally found her voice.
Jaune dragged Nora all the way to the corridor where Team RWBY's and JNPR's rooms were located. Whether it was because she could get change there, or because it was the most private place available to their team to discuss matters, he wasn't sure. He didn't consciously choose where his legs were going beyond 'get Nora away from the cafeteria'.
He finally stopped when they reached their team's door, letting go of her arm, and turning to her.
Nora was happily stood there, her tray balanced carefully in one hand, a fork in the other picking at her pancakes as she ate them.
Jaune gave a polite cough to get her attention.
She turned to him, still smiling and chewing. "Yes Jauney?" she said. Or at least he thought she did: a mouth full of pancake made her words muffled.
"Nora, what are you doing?"
Nora looked at his as if he was being daft. "I'm eating my pancakes. Why, do you want some Jauney? Because you'll have to go back to the cafeteria: you're not having mine."
Jaune sighed. "No Nora, I mean…. I mean why are you wearing Weiss' clothes?"
Nora's eyes widened a little at that. "Oh right. I forgot about that."
Really?! thought Jaune.
"Well, you like Weiss, even though she's really mean, but you're supposed to like me since I'm your girlfriend, so I thought I'd be a little more like Weiss, except I don't want to be mean to you, so I decided to dress like her, except for her shoes because they're stupid to walk in, especially since you can't possibly like Weiss because of her mean-ness, so it must be her appearance, which is why I copied it."
After rambling this off in one go, Nora simply beamed at Jaune happily.
Jaune just stared at her for a few moments while his brain processed all this. When it had, he just slapped his hand to his forehead, shaking his head slightly. He had never expected something like this, but at the same time he really should have. It seemed the most Nora thing that Nora could do, like her stilling wearing her trainers instead of Weiss' heels.
Well, that and she had just said she couldn't walk in them.
Sighing again, Jaune looked back at her. "But… why would you walk into the Cafeteria dressed like that?"
Nora gave him another look as if he was being daft. "That's where you were."
"But so was everyone else? People are going to talk about this? Don't you care what they think?"
Now Nora looked confused. "Of course not: they're not my boyfriend."
"What?"
For the third time in almost as many minutes, Nora looked at Jaune like he was daft. "You're my boyfriend. What matters to me is your opinion, not theirs. If you like it, then it doesn't matter if they hate it, or laugh at it."
For a moment, silence reigned between the two, as Jaune went through a sort of epiphany.
It was then broken as Jaune burst laughing. A genuine, happy, hearty laugh, while Nora watched on, still a little confused.
As he regained his composure, Jaune looked at Nora, a smile on his face. "You really don't, do you?"
Nora shook her head.
Jaune also shook his head, still smiling. Then, tilting his head towards the ceiling, he muttered, more to himself than anyone else, "Never where you expect it…"
"Jauney?"
"Nothing. Just something my Mother told me some time ago…."
Jaune let out a content sigh while still smiling, before looking back at Nora. "Well Nora, for what it's worth, you look really good in Weiss' dress. Perhaps better than Weiss herself."
And to his surprise, he meant it too.
Nora beamed.
"But," Jaune continued, "I don't think Weiss is too happy about this, so I'm afraid you'll have to get changed."
"Aww…" Nora pouted.
"Sorry Nora, but since you almost certainly didn't ask Weiss if you could borrow her clothes, you better put them back. Besides," he added, wanting to cheer her up, "you wanted me to see you in them, and I have, and like I said, you look really good."
Nora started beaming again. "Okay then Jauney."
She made her way to the door of their team's room, opened it, and was about to walk in when Jaune suddenly placed his hand on her shoulder.
Nora turned her head to look over her shoulder at him. "What is it Jauney?"
The look Jaune was giving her was akin to Yang when she found something to tease someone about.
"Actually Nora, would you be able to help me out with something?"
When Jaune returned to the cafeteria a few minutes later, it was with everyone looking at him, with plenty of them whispering and gossiping with each other. Jaune ignored them, grabbing a fresh breakfast (since the one he'd left would be cold by now).
Upon reaching the table where his friends were still sitting, he returned to his seat, pushing the remains of his first breakfast to one side, and looked at his friends.
They had all resumed eating, but all had awkward expressions on their faces, except for three of them.
Ren, a small smile on his face, was eating away without any concern.
Yang wasn't eating, but giving her evil smirk to Weiss, who she had undoubtedly been teasing.
And Weiss?
Weiss had a face like thunder, a look of anger and disgust that Jaune had never seen before.
Yang turned to Jaune now, clearly intending to tease him too.
"Well Vomit-boy? What was that about? Did Nora just reveal one of your little fantasies to the world?"
She gave a predatory smirk, while Weiss' right eye began to twitch violently.
To Yang's surprise, Jaune, smiling, ignored her and tucked into his breakfast. He had expected this from Yang.
Which was why he had enlisted the help of Nora.
As he made his way through his breakfast, he heard again people around them murmuring and gasping, followed by the clicking of scrolls.
He continued to eat, trying not to smirk.
And then he heard Nora's voice.
"Hi again!"
This was followed by a coughing, gagging sound, as if someone was chocking.
Trying not to let a smirk split his face, he turned to look at Nora.
She stood there as she had before, a new tray of pancakes in her hands, smiling broadly like before, and no longer wearing Weiss' clothes.
Instead, hanging loosely of her body, was Yang's clothes.
Well, the shirt and jacket were anyway. The black shorts and thigh-high boots fitted her just fine.
Jaune turned to look at Yang.
Now she was the one with a stroke-suffering, goldfish-imitating expression.
The smirk finally appeared on Jaune's face as he shuffled to the side to let Nora sit down.
Jaune still wasn't sure about this new found relationship with Nora. But she seemed intent on seeing it through. And there was nothing he could do to make her change her mind.
So he might as well make the best of the situation for the time.
Typicalteenager:
So, remember when I 'asked' for someone to make a picture of Nora wearing Jaune's Onesie?
Well, if anyone wants to do Nora wearing either Weiss' or Yang's clothes, it would be most welcome.
Also: Hurray! I've actually managed to make a weekly update. Admittedly it was two different stories for each week, but still: a step in the right direction. Now I have to try and keep it up next week.
Who knows, maybe I'll be able to consider removing my self-appointed title of Paragon of Schedule Slippage.
Anyway, until next time, I hope you enjoy this latest chapter of The Blond and The Valkyrie.
