I am generally very emotionally controlled person, I may empathize but I never sympathize with people. But after I read your story, I just contracted a bad case of diabetes and I think may be there's still hope for humanity just yet. The amount of fluffiness and warmth in this story is enough to burn the evil right out of a villainous maniac.
