Reviews for Mass Havoc Ensues
xxxDreamingflowerxxx chapter 1 . 8/3/2019
And Gil’s delusions continue. Man I love how he’s portrayed here. Freaking trolling Kirei and why worry about money, Gil has more than enough for eternity. Obviously he would go first for the other’s waller since he deems those to be his too

Note to self: Gil is a shitty babysitter. At least he gets along with kids, but he gives them bad examples and what does he mean with breaking rules? I thought that Gil sees himself as the rules. Rin and Sakura have received the wrong foundation of adulthood...
and of course he fucking tells them that Artoria is his wife. She’s not gonna like that.

Actually Kirei, I think Gil has a bigger shot getting a yes from Artoria by bribing her with food and lions and I just can’t believe that Gil is still going to try the nickname suggestion. Also damn Gil is just having a blast... maybe Kirei can beg Artoria to help him keep Gil in check. That would be a funny thing to see. Lool

Gil has Golden Rule and Collectors skills and his Gate of Babylon is filled with all kinds of treasures and money. Why would he go through all the trouble if he can just buy a yacht immediately?

And like that Gil just destroyed the diamond market, while he still has the largest diamond in his possession. I guess this is how he takes ofer the world... by being a troll.

And this why Gil does not need the grail. He can destroy the world perfectly on his own. King of Heroes, more King of Trolls. Btw what happened to Rin and Sakura? Knowing Gil he took a liking to them and had them serve him as subjects or something.

And of course some things are beautiful because they are unobtainable.

This was a lovely read! You did a great job in bringing a humorous touch to Gil’s actions. And the narrative was amazing.
Flowerbelle chapter 1 . 2/26/2018
I would love to find out what happened to Rin.
Vinelle chapter 1 . 2/24/2018
I don't know how this went from a delightful crack about Gilgamesh shopping online and crashing PTA meetings to beautiful insights into the eternal draw between him and Arthuria, but it did so beautifully. Squee. This fic was a joy to read and made me very happy!
m chapter 1 . 8/31/2017
at once hilarious and at the end, a simple but heavy hitting line to wrap it all up. really enjoyed reading this, i found gil to be in character and you manage to capture his fabulous multifaceted self. thank you for sharing!
OBSERVER01 chapter 1 . 11/19/2016
lol! gil has got it bad for saber.
Getsunohimesama chapter 1 . 10/21/2015
Wow... that escalated quickly. One moment 't stop laughing at Gilgamesh's antics and the next we are at the end of the world as we know it, with wild lions running amok a populated small island and that awesome insight into his mind. I loved every second of it, though to he honest I'd really like to know what happened to Rin and Sakura after Gil got his yacht. He seemed to enjoy educating them both to the fine art of being a douche to anything that moves. XD

Excellent job, it was a great fic! :D
sinemoras09 chapter 1 . 9/29/2015
Oh my god. I have no words for how amazing this fic is. Gilgamesh is hilariously, devastatingly, in-character here. His narration is so over-the-top dramatic, it makes even mundane things like Babysitting Small Children absolute gold!

But what I really took away from this fic is, for all of Gil's antics, he is a lonely character. I really got the sense that all his achievements - his yacht, tampering with world markets/starting global Armageddon - were hollow because he has no one to share it with (ie Saber). That you don't spell it out is really masterful. Really wonderful piece! Thank you for sharing!
Guest chapter 1 . 9/25/2015
The funny thing is that Gilgamesh would be perfectly capable of doing this is he wanted to
Sora Tayuya chapter 1 . 9/14/2015
There is quite literally no better way of putting every element of Gilgamesh's being on display than this tale. From the humor to the honest, it embodies every aspect of his personality and character, down the the most solemn of his identity.

On a side note, had this story been a running anime series I would have regarded it as one of the greatest anime series I had ever seen.

Easily makes top 10 of greatest works I have read on this site, from quality to precision.

But of course, I would expect nothing less but perfection from writing regarding the king of kings.
Chronic Guardian chapter 1 . 8/23/2015
Dark humor with irresponsible beings of supreme power? Why am I not surprised...

I think it's interesting how you divide this into "objectives", even pieces that don't seem very intentional on Gil's part. Like, he tries to pretend it's all part of his plan anyway. He plays by no rules, follows his fancy, acknowledges no higher power than his desire, and thus Mass Havoc Ensues. It is funny in its own satirical way, but there's also a ring of truth that must be faced at the end, that no matter how much he claims he is the end all and be all of reality, Saber falls outside of his power. He cannot begin to comprehend what makes her strong in the face of his reign of chaos, all he understands is that she cannot be easily won by his ways, and that is what intrigues him. I'm not sure if he even realizes that Saber thus stands as a reminder that his power is not absolute.

You sprinkle these thoughts with plenty of levity though, and never allow the story to get bogged down in too much heavy philosophy until the time is right. Well paced, L. This flowed naturally with understandable consequences; forming an odd portrait of both the world as Gilgamesh sees it and the world that is.

"...generate a pile [of] huge diamonds to sell..."

Thanks for another last minute shot to this summer. You're an inspiration to us all.

Aviantei chapter 1 . 8/22/2015
I like the whole "game/objective system" you set up. Not only do I find it amusing on a personal level, it sets up a slightly longer piece into easily digestible chunks.

Objective C was brilliantly played. The conclusion just had me laughing. Super job.

Friendly reminder that I haven't dealt with Fate/Stay Night except for this and "Marry Me, You Mongrel!" from last year. And, frankly, Gilgamesh is probably gonna be my favorite, just because of these shots.

My memory may be fuzzy, though, but does this actually connect to "Marry Me, You Mongrel"? Or am I just making junk up.

Way to bring a smile to my face, L,
