You know, I always thought she said 'I love you' before she fell. Of course it might have been thank you, but I guess we'll never know.

I have to say... I read through this entire story twice now after I found out about this fanfiction's existence and I have to say. I am blown away at how amazing it! Seriously, this is incredible! Honestly your story is so great I see THIS is the true canon story for Tales of Xillia 2!

Not to say the original was bad, but it was so sad and heartbreaking. But this story is so beautiful and I really wish this was the "True Ending" route of the game.

Like your choices could led to this path if you manage to increase affinity with Fractured Milla or pick the right choices with her and what you say to Elle would let Ludger go save her and use his Chromatus to keep Fractured Milla to say with her.

I have the game and I watched videos of the endings and such, but I love how you kept the lore and added more rules to the Chromatus that makes sense and fit within the ToX world and I wished this was in the game itself.

I especially love Ludger and Fractured Milla interaction and having them together. I really like seeing them paired up, it feels right for those two. Despite how their first meeting went down, would make for an interesting "How I met your mother" story to their kids... if they decide to give Elle a younger sibling.

I really want a happy ending for all three of them. Having Fractured Milla there to tell off Chronos there, where he has to second guess himself, is a nice twist that allowed him to reflect on his actions and make it right.

The skits were amazing and the whole party's interaction with two Millas is nice and I wish it even more that the real game had it in there as well. It really was a shame, aside from Jude, the other members didn't really bond with alter Milla that much which made them come off a little cold, but not intentional. I love how Prime Milla and Alter Milla bonded over the course of the story and shows how much more potential Tales of Xillia 2 had.

A Bad Ending, Normal Ending, Save Elle Ending, and True Ending of the game... it would've really increase the replay value of ToX2 and make it spectacular.

This story was detailed, well-thought out, enjoyable, great original scenarios that add to the cast and more as well as lead to the cast growing closer together. The inclusion of a more dangerous pact with the Watch, the Muzet mixing up both Millas, Alvin's past threatening his friends again, the new Fractured Dimensions, Fractured Milla gaining her own abilities and confidence in her own way. So many to count! I loved every bit of it!

Though how old is Alvin and Leia? Well they're cute together so I don't mind, though I never saw them as just really close friends.

Regardless I really enjoyed reading this story and I might do it a third time as I love this tale so much! You're really an inspiring talented writer and thank you for sharing this story with everyone here.

Man, what a wild ride. From the alternate ending where Ludger saves fractured Milla, to that ending where the family was made whole. This story has been one crazy experience. And I enjoyed every bit of it. Not only that, but you managed to differentiate it considerably from the game more than just an alternate event. You made sure to use original occurrences that you came up with to add to the story. Not to mention you develop the Xillia cast alongside Ludger. And managed to keep everyone in character.

The skits were also a highlight. They really felt like ones from the game, with the responses, actions taken, and even who was involved being well written. I will admit some parts of these skits, such as the thing with Gaius and Rowen, didn't seem in character and did put me off a littke. Luckily, not enough to not enjoy the skit.

I definitely enjoyed those sweet family moments you had between Ludger, Milla (F), and Elle. Those were such touching moments that it made the ending all the more emotional. Well played.

All in all, this was a great story. Great work mate.

Hey, there! It' been a while!... A long while... Like... 2 years and a half? So... Yeah, things happened. I got to the hospital, I got depressed, my computer died, my work with it... And then there was just so much to catch up that I procrastinated among other things. And I just... Well... I have no excuses.

Anyway, I am (finally) going to read and comment the full story for 'A Different Path'. Next one is obviously going to be 'A New Beginning' and its sequel (Gods... There's a sequel! I have missed too much...) but not 'A Distant World' since I have yet to buy a PS4 (and Tales of Berseria, which I really want).

I must say, I really needed that! I almost forgot how much I love those characters and this story! And Rideaux mentioning the 'final act' when it is actually the last arc was funny! But... Damn! The next sentence about taking Elle away definitely was not! It kinda feels like he enjoys stripping people away from all they have... (And I think that was the case because of his backstory but...)

And... A story that actually explains WHY the rooftop. Because most of the time it doesn't make sense. Yet it happens. Rooftops.

Ivar... Why do you not say that you don't know first? I mean, it is not a surprise for anyone! Haha! And... Yeah that three way conversation between Ivar, Milla and Elle could have been confusing! What with the mention of two Millas! Haha! The difficulty that Fractured dimensions bring!

By the way, is 'Milla''s Cloud's Omnislash related to the fact that Cloud had the delusion he was Zack (so was a 'copy' of Zack) while 'Milla' is also a 'copy' of Milla? Just a thought. (I mean, I don't expect an answer two years and a half after the chapter has been updated)

Ludger not knowing what happens until he is too late is horrible, yet so realistic. I mean, sometime people say they have a 'feeling' when someone important to them is in danger. The truth is that usually people don't. And the terrible outcome is the only thing that's left.

Ludger and everyone have to find Elle!

So... I tried commenting that chapter like I used to, but I may just read the rest of the story and comment on the last chapter. That may especially be the case for a New Beginning since I have missed... Lots of chapters. But I'll try to still give my feedback. I am particularly interested in seeing how your writing style evolved in two years! (Since I see that last chapter you wrote was in June?)
