Boruto, of all the MCs, you pick that ungrateful edge lord? "...as he discovers himself and who he is," after abandoning his family? And Boruto running away and abandoning his sister, mother, and father? From his nice house, bed, running water, money? The same lazy ass that used tech to cheat is now so ashamed he goes on a journey? The logic behind running away because he can't handle the shame of cheating and getting caught would be nothing compared to the shame he'd create for his parents if he runs away. We all have teenage angst, but it takes a real special snowflake to use that sort of logic like they are justified in their actions.

The fanfic author has Boruto run away because he can't handle the shame of getting caught cheating, and decides that running away and creating an even more shameful/dire situation makes sense to the MC, because the author thought it would help the lazy, cash-grab writing that is Boruto a bit more interesting. At least Sasuke had his whole clan murdered, Boruto is mad Daddy doesn't spend enough time with him. That kind of logic makes the edge lord that was young Sasuke look like a pacifist monk at peace with the universe.

I don't really like the fact you allowed Bolt to take his sister's beating without really fighting back. It's also frustrating that his leaf "friends" have no qualms about hurting him to the point of near-death but he's too pussy to actually deal serious damage back.

I’m not listing things I’ve liked because it is a waste to write something everyone knows and agrees with over 100 comments. Also, I see what you did with Hikari and blood bending! That and the revolution gives me anti bending vibes and Hama vibes, Good job! I would have made it less “out of the blue” tho.

While wasting characters in illegitimate deaths just because it is a plot source to pump up other characters (Tetsu which is very much my favourite NAkatsuki is the main victim of this, tho the Akiyama sisters and Boruto fall close). Anyways I have 30 chapters to change my opinion, we'll see then.

So far, I’d give it an 8. It’s almost perfect, it’s unfortunate tho that certain valid criticisms have been dismissed by the author. That and the fear to hurt the rogue scum. Boruto and the New Akatsuki have been gifted the opportunity to abuse plot armour far more than the Stark children and The Bastard in the show version of ASOIAF and that’s something to say.

I WILL SAY THIS SHAMELESSLY, I HAVE FALLEN INLOVE WITH BORUTO AND HIKARI AND IS CURRENTLY MY NUMBER 1 OTP RIGHT NOW! I hope you're not going to kill her off in the endI can't bear the thought of them separating huhuhu.

Just recently got into Boruto, caught up with all and every single anime episode. So I figured to browse fanfiction side of it.

And this, is simply a masterpiece.

Bolt's my favorite character, canonically. And even more so in this story of yours. The way you capture his characteristics, mannerisms, his way of interactions...that's something he would do in canon, alright. Simply top notch.

And your narratives. Damn, your narratives. I barely held back a tear at the hero's farewell part. Felt proud for the kid.

And lastly, I notice we share the same opinions of things regarding the verse, judging by your footnotes. More reason to appreciate this.
