Dumbledore is a dark wizard. But not just any dark wizard. Inspired by thoughts of a villain that he stole from an American Muggles mind, Dumbledore tries to emulate Palpatine. He teams up with his lover Grindelwald with an extreamly long turn plan. Grindelwald becomes the evil that terrorizes the world and Dumbledore stops him, becoming the figurehead for all light wizards and witches. On the sly Dumbledore removes Grindelwald from prison and has him work alongside him in disguise.

Along comes young Tom Riddle who discovers the truth behind Dumbledore but before he has a chance tell the world Dumbledore slanders him and his followers making people think they are blood purists. The war happens between Riddles forces and Dumbledore's.

Prophecy happens but the child is destined to kill Dumbledore and Grindelwald not Riddle. On Halloween Riddle approches the Potter Family who is doubting DUmbledore and sypathetic to his cause but something goes wrong. Dumbledore shows up and kills the Potters and tries to kill Riddle but he manages to escape.

From here I see two options. Either Harry is contacted by Riddles men while at Dursleys and joins him or is brainwashed by Dursleys and DUmbledore and does not begin to doubt until second year in the chambers.

Challange musts!

1) Dumbledore must truly be manipulate, none of this shit that supposedly is manipulation when he confronts Harry directly. He is supposed to be emulating the Sith.

2) Harry must ultimately join Riddle. Openly or not is up to you.

3) bashing is a no

4) Mentor Riddle at some point in the story

5) Snape is a reverse spy. Hears the prophecy and goes to Riddle to ask him to help him save Lily

6) Horucrux are not soul jars. Up to you what they are. I suggest memory capsules in case of obliviation.

7) Hogwarts must have had its education lowered since Dumbledore became Headmaster.

8) The prophecy is the same. Power he knows not is up to you how you want.

9) This can not be a Godlike!Harry story, Make him strong but he is fighting the good fight from the losing side. Think of him as Luke if that helps

Let it be known that it is absolutely forbidden to willingly perform the technique known as "1000 years of death" on a log. It is also equally frowned upon for one to replace oneself with a holy log for the purpose of avoiding said technique. The punishment for such actions is at least 6 months of banishment from the use of the holy log.
