That was awesome! And very true. It's partially (read, pretty much entirely) why I quit writing years ago when I was still a kid, deleted my old account, and created this new one for reading only *shrug* I repeat, I was a kid at the time, but even now I cannot get past writing plot ideas as it was rather mentally scaring for a 15 year old to be told to go hang himself for his "shitty inability to write a decent story"...

Love how dense Harriet is about her own skill level (yeah, she really IS that good at defense and curse-breaking, so that there are maybe four people in any world who are tops in their specialties who could combine their efforts to possible challenge her) and especially about romantic interest directed toward herself.

Utterly delightful view of somewhat-clueless-but-hyper-competent-Harry-as-a-girl-in-a-new-world, and I cheered aloud for the exorcism of Binns (condemned for the murder of the study of history, and yes he absolutely had it coming!).

I came for this story after reading The escapologist, hoping to have another story like it. I have to say, I wasn't disappointed.
I love this story, the pacing is very good, with an alternate of teaching and exploration, your writing was good and to the point, you didn't drag it too much.
So thanks you for writing this story, I do hope you will write other stories like that, but anyway, Good Work !

I've been enjoying this fic immensely. It's creative, well written and has it's amazing, funny moments. Which makes it even more surprising to me that people would whine so much about it. This is easily in like the top 10% of fics by quality, both of writing and plot; that I've read, and all I was going to say was thanks for this amazing one, but it sucks to see how shitty and entitled people can be over a fanfic...
