uzumaki.namikaze10 chapter 2 . 8/28 od |
FellStroke chapter 67 . 7/19 Finally finished reading. Man what a ride. Can you explain a couple of things to me though. I have the general gist but I just want to be sure. What happened to the flood? And what was Parongsky's main plan and MO exactly? I was half expecting a clone wars ending where the flood had an overmind and destroying it would render all flood mindless or something. Didn't really expect this ending at all. John and Jane kinda became side characters in this but I still liked. Great job finishing this. I am amazed at the level of skill this was written and the research you put into the lore and technology! |
Guest chapter 43 . 5/31 You went full Grimderp, never go full Grimderp. It's honestly a shame this whas such a good story but the Flood pooping out of fucking nowere for no real reason, the Citadel being destroyed for no real reason. There were other monents in the story that made me stop for a bit such as the needless extra death and destruction during the cerberus citadel attack. And Shepard enjoing a nice view of gardens and shit after the death of all the non plot important people in the Citadel is realy off puting and feels disjointed from reality. Also you chose the synthsis ... realy ... instead of fixing the shitshow that whas the endig of Mass Effect you just embraced it like it whas a minor thing. |
Johenn Casvell Mcgyrch chapter 1 . 5/9 Someone at Tvtropes thought highly enough of this story to put it on a fanfic recommendations section, but I'm more inclined to agree with one of the comments: "Its not terrible, but neither is it good." From the New Covenant being able to steamroll a UNSC that's received generous technological buffs, which put it on the same level as the Alliance, to the mere 1000-year interval between the scorching of Earth and the reconstruction of civilization up to Mass Effect levels, to the Chief surviving for that extent...I just find this a convoluted way to merge the two settings. There's smaller details in the lore too. Alliance-era humanity can't figure out what exactly happened to the civilization that predated them, yet they have knoweledge of old Earth places and terms like Brooklyn and London and cities like Rio still exist and have the same name. And describing an Alliance weapon as emitting shell casings as it fires, just plain silly. The writing (in the rewritten sections, which makes this even less tolerable) just feels off. Parts from Shepard's perspective feature peculiar one-sentence throwaway details that don't really go anywhere, and this bit at the end of chapter one feels it's restating the same two points multiple times. It's redundant. Additionally, there aren't just spelling and grammatical errors but entire words left out of sentences. The effect is disproportionately jarring and throws me out of the immersion. Combat in general was written well, though the sequence in Chapter 1 dragged out for far too long. On the other hand, the battles in chapter 3 felt just right, though there are some moments that stretched it like MC mowing down "dozens of bodies" with one extended MG burst. I notice that the rare achievement of completing a story was made here, so to that I say: Good for you. But I can't see myself reading through all 320k words of this story. I left out a few issues I had because I guessed that there would be explanations later on, however this wouldn't make up for the larger discrepancies. |
Sable Dawn chapter 67 . 1/13 I liked the story but there's just to many plot stings left dangling, we do not know why Parangosky did what she did, was she compromised by the flood or just insane, how did they beat the flood, what did Parangosky do with the Reapers, why did she destroy Rannoch and bugger every single attempt at coordination against the Flood leading to literal millions if not billions of deaths, that is not portraying her as a misunderstood character that's displaying her as a sociopathic villain without even showing her goals. |
Robert Harrison chapter 43 . 12/12/2019 I know this story is a couple years old, but I have to say it really, really, needed a proofreader/editor. The multitudes of spelling and grammar errors and generally poor diction in every chapter is killing me. Just as an example, I don't think the word "wary" has been spelled correctly a single time it's been used. |
Riptide122 chapter 35 . 8/19/2019 they way you have merged the two stories without the messing up the cannon of either universe to much its just expert. I'm really enjoying the story so far |
ForgottenPrince chapter 67 . 6/17/2019 Awesome story, one of the best I've ever read. Best regards, Prince. |
haha.plogue chapter 21 . 6/14/2019 nc |
Alan Iza chapter 7 . 6/2/2019 good chapter, only one thing, a Spartan would never said ""her baby kong" "want a banana", they do not make jokes, and less during a fight |
Hodge V. E chapter 3 . 2/9/2019 Would buy it so far. |
TheExecutor117 chapter 9 . 1/8/2019 Z |
Maersikai chapter 67 . 9/11/2018 I read this entire story and I've gotta say, it read like a hot pile of espionage trash. |
Divine Protector of Skyrim chapter 35 . 7/5/2018 I can agree that the Systems Alliance colonized further. But I will argue that the UEG/UNSC colonized much more densely compared to the SA. |
Azrael The Deplorable chapter 1 . 6/1/2018 OH MY GOD I HATE WHEN PEOPLE DO THIS Infinity isn't I mean isn't a cruiser, okay. IT'S A GOD DAMN SUPERCARRIER, WHY CAN'T NO ONE GET THIS RIGHT!? |
