Fast Frank chapter 10 . 5/8 Pretty good, enjoyable read. However, it is incorrect to call Hood an "Admiral Class" battlecruiser. She was a 'one off' design utilising existing materiel, such as the main battery ordered for the cancelled HMS Resistance. In that respect, she is like HMS Vanguard, RN's last battleship. |
Fast Frank chapter 4 . 5/7 I never thought I would ever read, "craven cruiser". :) |
LeightonWD chapter 10 . 4/12 Amazing well thought out story, a joy to read thank you. |
MotekElm chapter 10 . 8/13/2019 this was more q story of Battleships than HP or triad. It mentions a few times how everyone hates that Harry/Hermione/Ron are together, but never shows even emotional intimacy between the 3. Still, I like the characterizations |
CRoseSing chapter 10 . 6/14/2019 That was such a unique and creative plot! You did an amazing job blending something so original into a recognizable version of the wizarding world. I also thought the relationships were well-written and realistic. Maybe the little trusted group will extend to include Bill and Fleur after this. At the least, it provides continuing connection among the Weasleys and the Trio. Incredible piece. I love all your work. |
Jamie0 chapter 10 . 3/27/2019 Honestly, this sounded like quite a stupid idea, but it turned out to be really enjoyable. And there definitely aren't enough poly fanfics. On the downside you made me stay up late reading when I should have been sleeping :( |
dreamflower02 chapter 10 . 2/13/2019 What a unique and beautiful AU. I really liked the way you gradually revealed the various circumstances of the differences in the timeline fully explaining some, while only hinting at others. I am also in awe of both your research skills as well as your imagination, which combined to help me envision the shipgirls and the battles, and to maintain my suspension of disbelief through your incredibly exciting battle sequences. Thank for a truly enjoyable read! dreamflower02 |
Pyeknu chapter 10 . 9/19/2018 I should have reviewed this story when it came out. My apologies for the tardiness. This is one of your better stories. That you took a look at the PTSD issues that Harry, Hermione and Ron would have suffered because of Voldemort's war - and how such would have driven them in their future lives - was very unique; as others have said to you, having a three-way between them is quite unique in the fanon. It's a pity that you didn't look at the possible PTSD issues with the shipgirls you brought into this story. Remember that Hood sank with ALL BUT THREE of her crew going down with her. The memories of such death should haunt her and the others. Still, it was a well-deserved story. It would have been nice to see the spirits of the German schiffsmädchen fight against being possessed by Voldemort. After all, despite the war crimes issues, the Kreigsmarine was the least Nazi service in the Wehrmacht. Bravo Zulu! (that's a Navy "well done" BTW) |
RaseyafromRavenclaw chapter 10 . 9/13/2018 Uh this was phenomenal. I haven't read anything like it before. This was so good! |
Xiaou Nem chapter 10 . 9/7/2018 This is an amazing story. I had a hard time, at first, getting into the concept of shipgirls. But once the ritual was underway and they started singing “rule Britannia”, I really had tears in my eyes. Thank you for creating this touching and beautiful story! It’s amazing to see how inventive you are in your story creation. I’d love to see something based on Sailor Moon or Dragonball in the future. |
Prince Pondincherry chapter 1 . 10/27/2017 THIS WAS AWESOME! I love how well you merged the two universes, the Harry/Hermione/Ron relationship is something I haven't seen before, the changes to canon seem well-designed to make the story work better, and I particularly like the way the Trio is dealing with the Ministry's frustrating bureaucracy by throwing their influence around and flat-out ignoring stupid rules. Also, I'm quite happy that the Bismark is the ship Voldemort's Horcrux merged with. |
Ikurus chapter 10 . 7/16/2017 Great work. Thank you for writing and sharing. |
AzureAlquimista chapter 10 . 7/10/2017 Well... Not bad... The ship combat and the shipgirls part? Very good. If not for this, I would stoped reading long ago. The political part? Horrendously boring and cliche. Honestly? I stopped reading this part chapters ago. The "muggle can destroy magic" system? Totally incoherent and unneeded... What was the point? None. And it only made the fic very incoherent. In short. Very good "shipgirls" fic, very forgettable h.p. fic... IMHO it would be much better with more shipgirl plot, and much less H.p, muggle and politics... In fact, the muggle and politic part could be erased totally without any loss, and the h.p. part would have been better centred only in more development for the main characters. |
AzureAlquimista chapter 7 . 7/10/2017 So wizards and muggles let the shipgirls fight the enemy alone?... Not very elegant for their part, when both could destroy the enemy without any effort... The shipgirls part is good, way too short, as it's the best part of the fic without question. The political part is boring. Muggle govern is efficient, wizarding is a disaster, bad boys are dumb and greedy, good boys are intelligent and honourable. Cliche and booooring... And the "bad shipgirls" creation is ridiculous. The crew of the German ships were defending their country as much as the British ones. Their crews were as honourable as the British ones... and they died fighting, as their duty required, and as the British did... all were heroes who died in a horrend way in a war neither of them provoked... |
AzureAlquimista chapter 4 . 7/9/2017 Well... the combat wasn't bad... if you forgot muggle shells can destroy magic (so both ships would have been sunk in minutes), and the RAF was forgotten (The aircrafts would have sunk the Bismarck in seconds with a few laser guided bombs and/or missiles)... |
