NineYetis chapter 29 . 7/8
Kind of sad this hasn’t updated in four years. It was getting really interesting. Was Naruko an accidental alt personality that got to develop his close quarters combate while Naruto got long range?

MrNeedsToRemoveAllFavs chapter 5 . 9/20/2018
Problem: separating yin and yang, while not easy, is not anything approaching detrimental in the Narutoverse. The non elemental clan tech is also use mixtures of yin and yang chakra separated from each other or not. And the first technique of yin-yang we are introduced to (creation of all things) specifically requires one to separate them from each other, then use those separated forms to reshape reality (use yin to imagine it, then yang to give it that form). Will you ignore this or be taking it into account later?

Tbh, I would just have him highly prefer his spiritual or youkai taught techniques to any chakra based technique, rather than make him "have trouble" or "be unable to use" them since 1) he would be most comfortable with them, 2) they were taught to him by what he feels is essentially his best friends or family, and 3) chakra, while composed of two parts, also starts as those two parts. There are various places where the Naruto characters imply that they have to "create/gather/make" chakra from something (ie, the two parts). The first explanation we get heavily implies excess (ie, more than what is needed to live in Naruto) chakra is made whenever it's used, not that it just sits there in a giant energy pool inside their navel. And chakra exhaustion is implied to happen when you make so much chakra that you've exhausted your physical energy and are tapping into the passive, unconsciously created chakra that lines their organs.
