Then you have this gross shit with Petunia and somehow that's a decent excuse to allow Snape to not get arrested for the abuse of a child?

Not to mention that dumb fuck creepy shit with Lily and Ariana being remade because two sad losers want them alive again. One to use her as a rape toy (like Lily would ever want Snape. Especially after all the shit he has been doing), and the other... who even knows what Dumbledore would do with her, given how poorly he's been written.

This story is embarrassingly bad. Like, you should feel bad about it.

That said, I'm hoping Harry ends up with Daphne as well. I am not particularly thrilled with the idea that this story might just be duel after duel after duel, all betting women as prizes because... well, that's pretty sleazy and annoying. Like, why would you ever bet your cute future wife away? I get why the dumb ass, arrogant Death Eater babies might, but Harry? Nah. Besides that, it would just get boring and increasingly contrived. After the first time, people would naturally be more wary against betting their contracts against Harry if he keeps winning. Yet, somehow it keeps happening?

I mean, I get that this story is called "DUEL" in all caps, to show you're super serious about this being all duels all the way down, but I just don't think that'll make for a decent story in the long run. Somehow, this is complete and has over 300k words, so maybe you figure something out. Or maybe not and it really is just an endless train of forced duels that make no sense with young girls being bet like trading cards. I'll read a bit more to find out.

I'm not even opposed to the bet in and of itself. I just think it's very unrealistic that it would happen more than once.

honestly I think dumbledor knew couch was not moody. For Moody to be as pariniod in the books he would have had passcodes that protect against mind arts, spells or potions. His close friends and aquatances ie Dumbledor, Amelia, Tonks would have known about them and it would be a key word in a conversation. He would have steps in place to protect and confurm his identity.
