Well damn. It's been a really long time aince I read such a well rounded, beautiful well-written story. Every time I feel like this at the end of one I remember that this is why I read fanfiction. Thank you for writing. It's been a long time since I added something to my favourites.

I should really like to comment now before I continue reading the next chapter. I actually think what you did overall with the story and Harry taking the ring is wonderful. What makes you 'evil' and the only thing I take any 'issue' with (I was about to drop the story on principle here, until I realised you aren't a shit writer and I was actually curious was you would do with the rest of the story despite my misgivings) was the internal/external monologue Harry had with Gandalf in the beginning of chapter 8. Two chapters before he states that Sauron's power is unlike any he has seen or can contest, and here he's like 'yo I aint no pussy that ring aint shit bro I know you basically a god and all but I fought a scary dude once so wtf do you know'. That kind made no sense. It seemed to just be a forced set up for the rest, but it wasn't in character so it broke my immersion. Without that, and with a far more subtle hint of hubris - show, don't tell, exuberance and pride during the battle at the gate could have been a great opportunity - it would have come off as far more believable, making the emotional payoff greater as well. Maybe just some doubt during a conversation with Gandalf instead of outright incredulity?

I dunno. I just wanted to get that off my chest. Otherwise I actually made a complete 180 since reading on, because damn did this become an amazing story in ways did Not see coming.

Harry should have been smarter. Hes a badass one second then a dumbass the next.

Harry is rather dumb. Why he didn't use artillery spells against catapults. Death eaters used that kind of spells at the Battle of Hogwarts.

Yeah! Great work, finished the entire story in a single day. Love it. I like the Merlin inclusion in the story. Now to read The Witch King of Angmar after I'm done with lotr books.

Oh man! Damn. That was fucking unexpected. Honestly, this bittersweet chapter would've passed as a good ending. Imperius cast by a wizard is obviously no match to the will of the ring

Love the fight against the Witch King. Patronus indeed. Also, great ide about the whole Morgoth being tempted by the power of the patronus. Your command over your lore is amazing.

I haven't read Tolkien only seen the movies. Your prose is definitely detailed and well written. I only hope Harry doesn't use expelliarmus against the orcs lol

Meh. Not a huge fan of this chapter. It would've been a better ending had he remained dead than to have him come back via deus ex machina (literally) but minus the one thing that makes him a wizard. His "reward" is that he gets to live crippled for the rest of his life. Yay?

I find it hard to believe that Harry Potter, of all people, is incredulous that someone small and minor is sent to defeat the great evil, or that they were daring enough to send the weapon into the enemy's grasp. This is the kid who fought his world's Great Evil since he was 11, who went into Gringott's to deal with a Horcrux, who willingly walked to his death at 17. He of all people wouldn't find any of this to be crazy, and it weakens him as a character to make those assertions. He's been there. He's done that.

that was a very nice ring indeed. I feel like you've scaled harry's power extremely well and your writing is truly beautiful.
