Thank you for stumbling on to my profile on fanfiction . net! My name is TestSubject069 and I hope you will enjoy my addition to the derivative works of some of the best intellectual properties in the world.

I’m twenty-one years old, male, born in the United States of America and currently studying Political Science and Computer Science in Washington, DC. My heritage is both Chinese and German, my future most likely in politics or software engineering. My ambition is to adventure the stars, make nations friends instead of foes, and to discover the deepest, purest laws of universal truth.

Some of my favorite hobbies include playing video games, listening to, playing, and composing music, reading philosophical treatises, watching great movies, and exercising the exquisite, yet subtle art of trolling people. Other activities I enjoy are writing fanfiction, archery, camping, wood carving, swimming, biking, and eating Spicy Cheetos.

My involvement with fanfiction is purely not-for-profit and a byproduct of fawning over great stories merged with a burning desire to make my own. I hope to write enough fanfiction to gain some practical experience for my own original story. On the other hand, if fanfiction becomes recognized as a monetizable art form, I may just make a living on my purest pasions alone.

Recently I’ve undergone a journey of self-discovery. I’ve come to terms with the fact that I've had depression and anxiety disorders for a long time—so long that I didn't even know it. I expressed it by escaping into my video games for up to sixteen hours per day, then I started ignoring my schoolwork, and ultimately I turned away from making new friends. Finally after years and years of messing up who I could be as a person, I find myself in a smoldering hole, burned to ashes simply because that’s who I am. I am currently undergoing psychotherapy for severe depression with anxious distress, trying as hard as I can to make my assignments on time, and working so that the next day will be better than the last.

TestSubject069 is an amalgamation of aliases, interests, and relatively meaningless double entendre that I’ve collected over the years. Each element retains some form of meaning and I am very fond of every name I’ve come up with so far. The current iteration sounds the ‘least child-like’ out of all of them. The inspirations for the name come from Pokémon, music, space, existentialism, and sexuality. My profile picture was designed and created by me, and you can view the full resolution on my devianART page.

Over the course of my time on this site I will be sending PM’s in response to reviews so long as they have an account I can access. Other than that, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have, provide some meager advice, or perhaps just chat about butt-nothing.

Writer under training: Road to be a Pokémon Master – I would highly recommend reading this. 2011 July, currently writing next chapter, working on the gym battle. Should be finished within two weeks?
2012 Feb, currently transcribing the plot schematics from the notebook of ideas. So far it has over 10,000 words in it and less than 20% completed. Sep, chapters are coming along quickly, expect regular updates every two weeks for this month
2013 May, finally kicked my depression in the balls, adopting a new update methodology which involves always keeping one completed chapter in reserve for editing and reviewing before publishing. Hopefully I will have adopted a better update method as well, time will tell

Tea – this story was uploaded in response to a contest on the Advancers forum, and also marks my first attempt at a lovey-dovey romance scene. I hope I pulled it off. One-shot from 2013.

Half-Life/Portal:

Prepare for Unforeseen Consequences – a crossover which I believe should be Half Life 3. This one will explain how the Portal universe actually ties directly into the Half Life universe, featuring Chell, Gordon, Alyx, GLaDOS, Borealis, and the G-Man.

Mass Effect: Apex – In light of the considerably momentous trilogy coming to a close, I think I should tell some of the stories from different perspectives. I also think that Shepard shouldn't be the only one to get some romance underway. This will involve time travel
2013 May – a grand total of three distinct endings in addition to the original creator endings, completely skeleton written

Mass Effect: Telos – there have been several attempts to rework the ending to Mass Effect 3 on the BioWare Social Network as well as YouTube and other websites. This will be a project to combine all of them into satisfying endings with appropriate pathways. The ultimate goal would be to create a mod of this

Harry Potter:

Soon to Be Written – Unfortunately that class turned into a Writing class about comic books so I didn’t get to do the Harry Potter thing as an assignment. Maybe I’ll get to it on my own time? Supposed one-shot

Harry Potter and the Memories – bare bones proposal that questions what would have happened if Snape had been revealed to be on Harry’s side immediately following Dumbledore’s death.

Pearlshipping Idea I – Ash realizes that he loves Dawn one day during their travels through Sinnoh. Emphasis on how the little, seemingly unimportant things people do for each other really matter.
2008 - About 60% was written two years ago for no reason. I'll upload it at some point when I finally figure out how to end it. I think it's actually pretty great. Simple one-shot.

Time Slip – shipping neutral, huge undertaking, dystopian situation inspired by (but absolutely nothing like) the YouTube fan-made trailer Pokémon Apocalypse. Really excited about starting this one.
July, 2011 - this is a HUGE undertaking. The plot is about 80% completed, but I still need to figure out which legendaries I want involved and how to end.

The Aura is With Me: Explained – I have the idea of in addition to writing the main story, The Aura is With Me, I was thinking of making a parallel explanation story detailing how certain aspects of the story tie in to things like science.
August 06, 2008 - A bit like spark notes, covering only a few chapters of the main story per one chapter of the Explained version. And I will only update as I update appropriate chapters so there won't be any hints as to what the next chapters will be.

November 18, 2010 - I've been drafting for a while, and as a spoiler right now, Currently working out the details, this will feature a new insight into the lives of Pokémon as they live every day, amidst war, strife, sorrow, and love.

CANCELLED - for reasons that these contents can be included in the main story The Aura is With Me.
July, 2011 - Drafting is constant, the only thing left to do is putting pen to paper. I still need to plot out the last 40% of the story.

Projections this is the story of myself interacting with my favorite characters as we see how I built the universe of The Aura is With Me. Hopefully it doesn't sound too narcissistic

CANCELLED - withdrawn from the webz on May 16th, 2013 for reasons of lack of reader interest and I shouldn't devote any more of my scarce resources on a spinoff that's not even a narrative story.
