I've always enjoyed reading and writing science fiction and fantasy, and creating the artwork to match.

I've enjoyed reading the fan fics so thought I'd have a go, especially with Mass Effect as Bioware has created such a believable and engrossing universe with wonderful characters.

I do all of the following and more:

Play computer games with my son and grandson - still remember the first version of Doom. Now it's Mass Effect, Dead Space, COD and such. Always been a geek/nerd and loving it.

Love photography, painting, drawing, jewellry making, basically any type of craft.

Ride a motorcycle with my husband of 40 years for wind in the hair therapy - although not a lot of wind gets through the helmet, except when I open the visor but then you get bug face. Love the long trips but after 8000 kilometres plus it's good to get off and stay off for a while.

Read books like Magician, Starman, Dune, Battlefield Earth and of course the classics, Mote in Gods Eye, Stranger in a Strange Land, The Foundation Series. Non fiction include Sun Tzus The Art of War, Any and all art books by Boris Vallejo or Julie Bell, anything to do with history, science and future science. Also read books on weaponry and have a collection of swords I love to play with. I have a very large library, which includes a first edition copy of The Three Musketeers, that my husband curses and hopes we never have to move.

I believe that life is what you make it and nothing gets handed to you on a silver platter.
