Wow. That was certainly an emotional punch to the gut. It was beautiful and yet painful, the depth of feeling in this piece matches the depth of feeling in the characters.

It was wonderfully written, every word building on the one before, every paragraph giving us a glimpse into true emotion, the changes they've both gone through to get to where they are at the end. It's an amazing look at the emotional and physical changes in each of them, how they rebuild and how they get through the pain.

I loved the image of their hands reaching out, gently touching and interlocking. A link from their past, through the present and into their future. It was really well done. Fantastic work and I have no doubt Tracy would have thought so.

This was so beautiful. Oh my gosh. I had to take a minute after I read it to gather my senses and get my thoughts together. Beautiful actually doesn't precisely cover it, but I can't think of another word to use because I loved this. I was worried it was going to be overly angsty, but I needn't have. It was sad and there was some tough moments, but it felt real. Shepard was hurt, rightfully so, and letting go of that pain after she tried reaching out over and over was understandable. I did love that they found their way back together slowly, through snatched moments, long looks, and those touches that spoke so much.

The emotion in this oneshot was really intense. The sense of betrayal, of anger that bordered almost on hate sometimes (but the kind of hate that's not really hate at all but is born out of intense love) and the love they felt. The way they never let go of each other no matter how dark things because - even when they weren't together, even when they didn't want to be, they held on.

I loved it. And I know Tracy would have loved it too. Eeek. Wonderful!

"They breathe together and imagine a world where nothing beautiful dies and hearts are never shattered. A world where their hands could never intertwine and it would be enough." Gorgeous! I love it.

The moment that stole my breath because of the 'rightness' of it:

"To be who we are right now, Kaidan," she urges, voice shaking but not broken. ... The fact that maybe all this brings me to something better, something greater than what I knew before."

Yup, it's what they all need to come to, I think, in order to make it beyond the Crucible ... the idea that it has all been leading somewhere greater, somewhere worth the sacrifices. :D Fantastic stuff.
