Author has written 20 stories for Mass Effect, and Dragon Age. SOOOOOOooooooooOOOOOOO ... this is the part where I say a little about me. I guess. I am old and crusty and cantankerous. Rar. Imagine Wrex without the cool, or the shell ... and pudgy, very pudgy ... and female ... and ... yeah, without the cool. Although I am handy with a shotgun and our laughs are frighteningly similar. I write original fiction sometimes. Have written a YA novel that won a contest and was published seven or so years ago. Have made no further attempts to get my original fiction published. In fact, have spent no time at all on original stuff since I started my Mass Effect projects. I'm a part-time editor for a small publication house. They send me the slush pile to go through and leave red ink all over. I still prefer doing the process on paper. I'm an oddity. I truly enjoy helping writers shape their writing and their stories even after almost ten years. I write Mass Effect fanfic. Two massive monstrosities, actually. The first, Machinations, covers the period of time from the end of ME3 to 50 years after the Reaper War. It's not artfully written, nor a bastion of modern literature or anything, but hey ... it makes me happy. The second, Future Imperfect, is a canon-divergent story that takes place during the same time period as the games, but spins off in very different directions. I decided to post my fics because maybe they might make other people happy too. Sometimes stories do that, I hear. So here are the first parts I currently have completed or are being worked on. There really is no need for detailed reviews, but of course, they are welcome. As are reviews that point out things I may have missed, or even ones that just say ... "I liked this part." http://www.fanfiction.ws/s/9403672/1/Mass-Effect-The-Internal-Machinations-of-Exploding-Stars All in one volume now. /s/10128626/1/Mass-Effect-Mercy is the story of Lenka's life before meeting up with Shepard and Garrus. I wrote it for an OC contest at Aria's Afterlife. It is very dark, so be warned of that. It also needs a good edit. :D /s/9730792/1/Mass-Effect-Future-Imperfect There is a saying that those who can, do... while those who can't, teach. LOL I am the latter. May 01, 2015 -- Do not fear! Future Imperfect has not been abandoned. I am simply caught in some rock hard deadlines and have to get that work done before I can finish the new chapter. It will be up before the 15th for sure. Hopefully a lot sooner. --Narrative exposition is cheese pizza. Heavy prose is Chicago Deep Dish with most of the ingredients menu on it. Good writing varies the menu all the way in between. Sometimes plain cheese is just the thing. Sometimes you need spicy italian... sometimes double pineapple. But too much of either end of the spectrum is wearing. Too much plain cheese is boring. Too much Chicago Deep Dish, you end up bloated and a little sick. |
