I don't even know how to explain...this is just...this is awesome.

The imagery is...phenomenal. So dark, yet utterly enrapturing. It's inescapable.

You raise some interesting points...and its those very points that add to the depth of this fic, to his inner musings and conflicts. His thought process is strangely familiar, yet distorted...bending and pulling as the darkness gnaws at him.

There is a malevolence that is almost inexplicable, ever moving, searching, feeding. It's just...ugh! Love it!

Oh, damn. Oh, man. Oh, buddy. This is terrifying and brilliant. Indoctrination is truly the most horrifying thing about the Reapers, and you've captured that so well. I've a thing for eldritch happenings (especially in space) and it's horrible to see this happening to Kaidan of all people- he's so strong and smart and oh no. The mention of Rahna seeing the monster was a punch to the gut, as was Kaidan's recognition of Tali's fear and the way they united through that. Ahhh you write so well. *skitters away*

Ooooh, I absoloutely loved this! It was so atmospheric and moody that I almost wanted to switch all the lights on and make sure there weren't any slithering shadows in my house. You really caught this sense of impending doom, of something lurking in the darkness, and that irrational fear people feel when they know logically there is nothing out there, but can't fight away the terror. This was great!

I totally loved how you brought religion into it too, and had this great flavorsome undercurrent of malevolence running through the fic. The hints of indoctrination, of something like Leviathan, but not quite, was brilliant. I'm a total horror fan, and I really did adore this! :D

Oooh, this was so deliciously chilling. Even without the full context of this scene, everything was clear enough to follow, visually at least. And the small context clues dropped throughout helped to settle me into this headcanon. I absolutely love the musing on God and darkness that you set up in the beginning. It makes bringing it back around to that in the end very powerful.

Honestly, I think this is my favorite line: "skittering between his cells". Seriously, just those four words. So effing brilliant. I can't tell you how much that image sung to me. Overall, this whole piece had a very eerie, suspenseful feel. I love that! I'm glad you went this direction for the drabble. :D

I... literally... sat still and looked around the room after I read this. No monsters? Check. Worse, I'm sitting in a living room with great big windows that are night-black outside. I couldn't see the monsters if I wanted to. (Gulp.)
