I knew that this was an unfinished story before I started, but getting here I really wished you had finished. It is great description of what one goes through after war. I would hope that Shepard would be stronger, but we all are human. One thing that I do notice is that the story started idling after a while. Maybe it's because you didn't know how to end it? I would suggest that maybe there is no solution. No win-win. She might be able to get better but not completely heal. Maybe she could start to move on? I think that's what you were going with here, but I am not completely sure. Please update as soon as you can! Good work.

I loved this. Your writing style is so clear and easy to read. I think you've really achieved something here. Your story is so emotional but without being overly wordy. I always know exactly what's going on within a chapter. Probably the only thing I could note is that sometimes you tend to repeat yourself, ie have Shepard come to the same conclusions about her situation twice (in different chapters).

When I got this notification in my email a couple days ago I had to re-read to remind myself what this story was. Generally when I need to do that I just skim to get the gist, but with this story I took my time and actually read, because it is just wonderful. You give us a very real look at a very human Shepard without being heavy-handed or overly dramatic. The writing style is very sleek and natural. Just fantastic. I look forward to reading more in the future.

Nicely done. I have been reading a lot of stories on this site dealing with Shepherd's recovery after the 'destroy' ending. After playing through the games many times during the past fourteen months, taking the synth ending most of the time ('cause I find it really difficult to lose the geth after saving them on Rannoch), I've come to believe the destroy ending is best. This story is the most extensive (after the victory) of the many I've read, and is among the best I've seen (and I don't review many). Thanks you - I look forward to the next chapter.

I really loved this chapter. It was a wonderful way to show her struggles and how much her teammates help her, just by being there. I'm a huge Shenko fan, but Joker is very special and I'm glad you wrote that in to this chapter.

This fic is too good to only have 17 reviews. Honestly. IMO, when doing a first person perspective, the most important thing is for it to seem honest, candid.
