Found this today and just got to the end. I have to say that I loved it. It seems like it is almost over. Yet there is no conclusion. I know that this was started long ago, but please finish it! This story deserves an end.

It took me forever to catch up again, but the new ME coming out motivated me to read all the Shenko fics again! Thank you for still writing this fic :)

Explosions really do happen wherever Shepard goes, and it's funny that I've never realized or even really thought about that until reading this chapter.

So I play as m!shep and didn't get to see the dress during Kasumi's mission. I'll have to go Google it because I think she totally would be smokin'.

I love that Kaiden can't stop himself from reading more. It reminds me of us fic readers and binge-reading through the night, and it's the cutest visual. Also, I love how you included the side-quest about "Shepard's favorite store on the citadel". It's one of my favorite fandom jokes and it seems like such a pointless quest, but you gave it a layer of emotional depth that I hadn't expected or even knew was possible.

I don't see a lot of fics that write from Kaiden's POV (but I haven't read much fic in this fandom overall, so maybe that's why) so it was really enjoyable to see the second half from his perspective. Also, I love the ambivalence Liara felt about whether or not to send the letters on. I often see Liara as altruistic, and righteous, and always on the side of justice, so after the Shadow Broker DLC and every time I get to see her act in the opposite capacity, it's a welcome change. I think it humanizes her (or, er, makes her more relatable) and reminds us all how young she really is for an Asari.

Excited to see Kaiden's reaction to Shepard's letters!

I know I'm kind of repeating myself, but I love the way you juxtapose Shepard the Commander, and Shepard the woman. The hesitation in her posture and dialogue when she was asking Liara for a favor humanizes her, and it's part of why so many people relate to Shepard, I think. Fantastic job on that.

I've been itching for a good, solid ME fic, so I'm really so happy I found this fic.

So ... I don't normally ship Shepard and Kaiden together. Actually, I don't really tend to view Shepard as FemShep, though I know she is such for a lot of people. That being said, this was absolutely wonderful to read. I think the softer moments where we get to see Shepard be human - /really/ human - are so nice, and sadly few and far between. It was the perfect mixture of the tougher Shepard we all know and love, but also the softer (and in this case, more feminine) side. I also really enjoyed that we got to see both the letter, and the after part. It was a nice transition/opposition, one that you could've easily not included, but that strengthened the chapter with its presence.

Definitely happy I stumbled upon this!

I'm glad you're continuing this. I'd been on fanfiction for a while but this is the first story I liked enough to follow. I honestly thought you'd abandoned it. Words can't express how happy I am that you haven't.

Welcome back! I got a chuckle out of Shepard's description of her crew's wardrobe choices. I have NO idea why the Justicar uniform is the way it is...

And the idea of a whole bunch of asari hitting on Shepard makes me laugh quite a bit. :-)
