This is the twentieth odd time i've read this story and only Now! do I realise the nature of Chekov the Cat as literal Chekov's Gun to the Dallon situation. Well played.

I missed the go reference the first time I read this but now that I've actually learned about go, learned how to lose at go, and the like I must say that it is the best board game out there and that I agree that those who won't play go are uneducated and should be taught how to play it.

I honestly didn't think a Worm fanfic could have this kind of tone without feeling disingenuous. I've read plenty of curbstomp fanfics where Taylor gets an altpower that's so op and/or versatile that all conflict becomes kind of a joke. This is different though. This story somehow manages to make Brockton Bay feel wholesome. Part of it is probably how little Sophia is involved in the story but even so it's pretty amazing.

Interesting cross, some of things that the Kami, the granny squad, and Lee get up to were pretty hilarious. Seems like you’re forgetting about Rachel since she didn’t seem to be around the rest of the Undersiders when they finally appeared. I hope you come back to it soon, I’m curious about how some of the bigger out of town threats like Leviathan and Scion will interact with the Kami...
