Not much to tell, really. I am the father of two children and got hooked on the Harry Potter books while visiting my sister (my nephew had them all, and they became my nightly reading). I have since read them to my daughter (it has become a night-time ritual, although we have stalled a bit on #5).

I got introduced into fan fiction while reading an article about JK Rowling and the Harry Potter series. Have been hooked ever since. I enjoy reading most sorts of fan fiction, although gratuitous horror and slash for slashes sake are definitly not at the top of my list. I also prefer stories where Harry does not spend enormous amounts of time angsting about things that he cannot change nor control, nor stories where his seems bound and determined to push everyone away for their own protection - as if Voldie won't go after someone just because Harry has pushed them away.

If I had a ship to sail, it would definitely be the Harry/Ginny ship. I have read many of the essays on the eventual Harry/Ginnyness of the HP series and must agree that there must be a reason behind the existence of Ginny's character beyond being the maiden in distress.

I am working on a couple of different fan fics, and when I am ready I will start to post them. Until then, I will just continue to read.

I finished posting my first story, Insanity, that deals with the Ginny's recovery from events that happen at the end of the war with Voldemort. It turned out to be pretty short, only 6 chapters. Many thank yous to all of the great reviews (and reviewers!).
