Author has written 61 stories for Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, and Frozen. Good morning, afternoon, evening, or whatever it happens to be where you are. Welcome to Anne B. Walsh's profile. My pen name is from the Pixar movie The Incredibles, though it also refers to my general rule about people asking personal questions. Questions about my writing are eagerly answered, as long as you give me some way to reply to you. To that end, I will tell you that (almost) everything I've written for the Harry Potter category is set in, or relates to, my massive alternate universe, known as the Dangerverse for its title character. Pairings are exclusively het and include RL/OC, SB/OC, H/G, R/Hr, D/L, and N/OC. I attempt to keep my OC's from becoming Mary Sues. Opinions are varied on how well I succeed. Scroll down a bit for categories and lists of stories. My one Narnia story, And Ye Shall Receive, was written after seeing the Prince Caspian movie and is an attempt to reconcile a certain ship in the movie with book canon, as well as to address the Susan Question. There will probably not be a sequel; however, I am trying to update my HP/Narnia crossover again and could use some encouragement. I am also writing an AU of Disney's Frozen as while I appreciate the excellent female leads, I am deeply and thoroughly annoyed by the latest iteration of stupid Disney parents. I have both a Facebook page and a website: the former can be found at facebook dot com slash annebwalsh dot page, while the latter is simply annebwalsh dot com and also houses my blog, Anne's Randomness. I post on Facebook every day and update the blog two to four times a week, so if you're interested in my writing, fanfic or original, go have a look! Yes, I did say original. As of early 2015, I have published three original novels, one solo short story collection, and one collaboration, along with three holiday collections, all available from major e-book publishers everywhere. Links to explore further, or purchase, are available on my website; more information is below. Historical fantasy A Widow in Waiting is the first volume in the Chronicles of Glenscar series. Set in the 1780s in England and Ireland, it features strong elements of both mystery and romance; its sequel, Playing with Fire, remains a work in progress. Family-focused fantasy Homecoming, a retelling of "Cinderella" which is also based on certain elements of the Dangerverse, opens the Tales of Anosir series, set on my original world of Trycanta. My science fiction debut, Killdeer, tells the story of Elspeth, who went looking for new music and instead found a strange new race... For short stories, Cat Tales is all mine, featuring cat-themed stories from most of the universes I've explored in novels (including the first quarter of Killdeer), plus a few I haven't. A Dinner of Herbs is a joint effort between me and a friend, Elizabeth Conall, with some playful deconstruction of certain fairy tale themes to the tune of parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme. I also wrote a holiday special for 2012, Sing We Now of Christmas, one for 2013, In the Bleak Midwinter, and one for 2014, Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day. Apparently I have a thing for lesser-known Christmas carols. Now then, back to fan fiction, and those lists. Stories with a star beside them are still works in progress (some of them more technically so than others): Main Dangerverse Living with Danger Main Dangerverse One-Shots (may contain spoilers) Much Ado Dangerverse AU's Maybe Dangerverse Crossovers Dangerous Truths (crossed with Neurotica's Truths series) Phew. Didn't realize I'd written so much. Hope you enjoy it! |
