Author has written 6 stories for Harry Potter. Guess I should put something here since many of you have taken a look. My taste in literature has always been eclectic, ranging from Ernest Hemingway to Ray Bradbury, to Jane Austin. If the story is good then its worth reading, regardless of type. My main fanfic area of interest is Harry Potter, but to be honest I didn't read any of the books until DH was released, then I pounded through all seven in one weekend and have read them all several times since. A couple of pet peeves when it comes to Harry Potter, (more precisely Harry Potter readers): 1. Harry would never use a unforgivable curse. (FALSE) He has in fact used one twice. 1st in OTP he used the Cruciatus Curse on Bellatrix Lestrange in the atrium of the Ministry of Magic, just prior to the duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort. 2nd in DH he used the Imperius Curse on both a goblin and Travers in Gringotts. I am willing to concede that he would not preordain the use of one, however that does not change the fact that he has used them. 2. Harry broke up with Ginny. (o.k. this may be more personal opinion then fact, but I say the answer is FALSE) I concede that after Dumbledor's funeral he told her they shouldn't see each other anymore. However a careful reading indicates that they both understand it's for her safety and not that they are breaking up. Additionally, every time they are together after this it is very clear that neither of them consider themselves to be separated, even if they are careful not to make any public declarations. Apart from her looking back and winking at him during Bill and Fluer's wedding. Right, that's out of the way. Let me put away my soapbox and move on to the story. I've had these ideas about what happened to the characters, as they got on with their lives, bouncing around in my head for some time and decided the time might be right to put them on paper. Hope you like them. Who knows once I'm done with The Between Years I may even venture off in another direction all together. Quick update: since I started writing this story things have wandered of in directions I never anticipated. The basic timeline and storyline remain unaltered but what a ride this is turning out to be. Thanks to everybody who's taking it with me! A special note for all my friends from Australia: I apologize for the inaccurate portrail of your wonderful country. I promise that my reshearch will be better when I write about it in the future. For those of you who have read chapter 13, this is what Harry's new owl Dagny (In old norse the pronuciation is Day-nee, literally new day) looks like. Alone the barren land I trod - Not hearth or bed to call my own - But always onward was I led - Seeking that I did not know - Unitl I found it by your side - Now never more shall I go |
