Reviews for Put into Lifetime Detention by Death
Haji the Monster chapter 1 . 7/24
why do you freaking morons insist that Harry requires verbal abuse from an angry being. they know he never remembers and therefore the fault of the many deaths Harry suffers is completely placed at the feet of Dumbledore and the aforementioned Death character. make a better starting point and then maybe these stories would be good.
jamcreynolds chapter 18 . 7/13
I rarely review. I love the premise of your story but I have to admit that I'm irritated with Harry. Hermione is his soul mate and he sends her off for summer without a word to her. He instead shares all his secrets with his brand new friends, Neville and Luna. Meanwhile, she's at her mothers throat just to get to see him again. He seems very ungrateful.
Lordlexx chapter 6 . 7/12
The plural of patronus is patronuses. Not patroni.
Matt chapter 11 . 7/8
"both had been racked by guilt"
The word is wracked. Racked is something you do to pool balls.
Matt chapter 6 . 7/8
"curiously, the same phoenix"
What same phoenix? The same phoenix as what? That's the most uninformative statement I've ever seen. It tells us nothing. It can't be from Fawkes, because we were told that he gave only one other feather, and it was in Tom Riddle's wand.
The Morphin' Physic4ist chapter 4 . 7/6
Halfway through chapter four and enough is enough. Harry's vocabulary is weird. No one talks like that in the twentieth century, least of all a child. In fact I don't believe anybody has ever spoken like that, it's painful to even read. The scene in the Great Hall earlier, especially with Harry yelling and screaming at everyone in some sort of attempt at authoritative formal language was particularly dire.

Then come the oaths he forced on Malfoy, Hermione and Hagrid. There was no discussion or debate. No consideration of their feelings, wants or needs. Essentially, a thirteen year old boy says to them "Fuck you and fuck your free will! Obey me or else". He treated them all as chattel. This is utterly immoral.

I really can't go any further.
Guest chapter 2 . 6/22
Yeah, too much.
Kai chapter 16 . 6/22
I was unsure what you meant with "peddling". After looking it up in an online dictionary I'm even more confused. A peddler is someone who goes from house to house selling wares, mostly of low value. Or a drug dealer as a second meaning. As far as I found out it has nothing at all to do with a bicycle. Perhaps I'm missing something here that only native speakers understand.
Kai chapter 9 . 6/21
And why did Dumbledore waste so much time to guard the prophecy in the first place? Only Harry and Tom could touch it to get it from its stand. So, a million Death Eaters, and a couple hundred giants, dementors, vampires, and werewolves sprinkled in, couldn't have done shit. And if Riddle himself had come, what obstacle is a thoroughly incompetent Arthur Weasley? Riddle could kill him outright, messily so, or take him, torture him to death, and send Molly the memory. Dumbledore placing his cannon fodder before the DoM achieved exactly nothing. One even got caught and Dumbledore just let him be thrown into Azkaban. Foolish English person. On the other side, that's what one does with cannon fodder...
Kai chapter 6 . 6/21
Huh? The phoenix feather in Harry's new wand is "from the same phoenix"? Which phoenix do you mean? Was there a phoenix mentioned before? Neville has unicorn hair, Harry's other materials are griffin, unicorn, basilisk and dragon. I mean, it's not the same phoenix as his previous wand. Because Fawkes only ever gave two feathers, and one is in Harry's first wand and the other in Riddle's wand.
Kai chapter 2 . 6/21
I hope that, when Hagrid took that vow, they concentrated a bit on the exact wording. "Never drink again" is not the same as "never drink alcohol again", the second is a bit cruel, depending on how much he usually drinks, the first is a death sentence.
rowenasheir chapter 55 . 6/13
A nice read, thank you.
Talonwalker chapter 55 . 5/16
Great story!

Thanks!
hisnhers chapter 9 . 4/30
I have been enjoying this fic immensely. I especially like that Harry is respectful to the Goblins even though some Goblins have been deceptive, outright liars and untrustworthy in his past. This doesn't give him the right to be rude to the Goblins as a whole, as a culture.

If he finds that they continue to be untrustworthy, then he can decide how to treat the individuals he has already had dealings with.

Ty, for not making Harry and Hermione fall in love seconds after his return. Some points in time that would definitely work, but others... not so much. This slow pace is perfect

Firstly, Great first chapter! fun. I LOVE reading these Reaper fics!

Secondly, I wish to apologize. I wasn't aware the original author had died when I reviewed a fic about 2? hours ago. Didn't mean to upset anyone by saying 'if they chose to write more I would certainly choose to read it,' the words End? were after fic. I was responding to that. So sorry!

Thirdly, Who are you explaining yourselves to? You owe us nothing. I appreciate warnings, but to explain why things are done a certain way simply because of complaints is pandering to the cruel and vindictive who can't live unless they are reeking havoc. You owe them nothing, imho... I do appreciate the warnings however, when authors see fit to include them due to seasonal depression making it difficult to read angst or tragedies during winter months. Accurate summaries are also appreciated. The other forms of explanation due to rude people who weren't raised correctly isn't your responsibility. It's theirs to be polite and gracious then continue or stop reading. I have explained to authors how I have enjoyed a fic or disagreed with them, but that the fic is theirs and not mine and I could OB-viously chose to stop reading if I deemed it beyond what I could get my brain to accept. (IE: a truly kind Dumbles or even Ron is difficult for me to wrap my mind around, but some authors can actually pull it off with a combination of superb writing skills and a LOT of convincing, few can, but it does happen, occasionally!)

Anyway, thanks for the warnings. I do like knowing this is rated M due to blood, gore, etc, as opposed to nonstop graphic sex. So thanks for that! I can then decide to read or not to read.

This fic is reminiscent of other Reaper stories thus far, but there is some crossover expected if you follow the Challenge set up. However, it's different enough to be just as enjoyable!

Thanks for reading my rambles, if you did! lol!
