I read this story in one sitting. I think it's great! Just a couple of commments: I'm a bit miffed that after that one chapter when Harry cries on Ron's shoulder and Jenn speaks with Remus, Allen isn't mentioned anymore. Not when Harry graduated, which merited a mention as his father-figure was absent, nor when BKE starts to take off, which should also remind Harry of his absence. Grief is different for everyone, yet it never really does go away. In happy times you wish theh were there to see it, even if it's been twenty years, and in sad times you think of the advice they would have given you, again regardless of how much time has passed. I also feel Jenn and Harry's relationship reached a standstill of sorts... We didn't see them grieve together and since Allen died they barely speak to each other, which I think it's sad. I understand the concept of Chekov's guns in which if it's not relevant to the plot, don't mention it; yet this is such a character driven story that I want to see Harry's relationship blossom in any life situation, be it success, loss or conflict. Jenn deserves more love, especially after losing her husband.
I don't know what to think about how you ended Voldemort. I also don't think his Death Eaters would just twiddle their thumbs while Voldemor is hallucinating. They are people who lile chaos and terrorizing and without Voldemort to hold the leash, I believe there would be a vaccum of power that the Death Eaters would be fighting between themselves to fill and creating collateral damage as a result. I don't see Lucius, as he was in the canon, quietly agreeing with Harrry's plans even if you justified it in the story. Another thing that happened when you solved the problem of Voldemort so quickly and with barely any fuss is that I lost the sense of dramatic tension that had been building up until then. For example, when I knew that Bellatrix, Barty Crouch Jr. And Voldemort were planning of abducting Harry for the ritual every time I read about Harry's endeavors I wondered when the strike was going to come and it kept me on the edge of my seat. Same for the duel and the few days right after it. When Voldemort lost his magic because he lost his sanity, the stakes plummeted, which makes the story not as engaging anymore.
I hope your muses come back because I would love to read the ending.

I've just re-read this story for the 4th time. I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed a Harry that wasn't a mess. He grew up, knows who he is and what he wants and is able to go for it. It's really nice. I also love the AU story. I have no idea what kind of story could work with a sequel, but i do know I would very much enjoy spending more time in this universe.

Harry has to be more careful with the wizarding healing. Too many people asking questions. Per your A/N, my only disappointment with the Vernon/Petunia situation, they appear to be serving sentence pertaining to the financial situation. Sounds as though they're going to walk on the child abuse charges.

Along with the Dursleys can we put Adam Schiff and Peloski,George Sores, ,Hillary in the cell? And a bonus cell for Kate Brown for what she almost did to the truckers.

That's actually a Doomsday Clock Five Minutes Until Midnight which under the Obama era (He actually did VERY illegal things just the press covered it up) the clock was moved to 3 minutes until midnight.

This is confusing. Why the sudden u-turn for Harry whose reaction to the prophecy was quite different in the initial chapters? I mean he does decide to train to beat Voldy, how did he arrive at this unexpected decision of getting irked by Dumbledore? Also, why does everyone seem inclined to forgive Snape his shortcomings but not Dumbledore his?

Hmm... pardon implies crime. He would be exonerated because he was innocent of any crime.

I just found this fic thru a request on livejournal. When I saw that it had been a decade since its last update, I hesitated. I read your note from three years ago stating that you haven't abandoned it and saw that you have been active this year so I read it. I have thoroughly enjoyed the story to date and hope that you are able to return to it someday soon.

Ok I love the concepts, but there are literally no realistic reactions from anyone. Like is ANYONE phased by the fact that magic is real? That their entire reality is a lie? Too much exposition, not enough character development. I love what this could be, but it's just to monotone for me to keep reading without being bored out of my mind. You write pretty well tho. Just gotta work on character thoughts and reactions.
