GryffindorTom chapter 33 . 6/21
quick note. Oxford is on the Paddington line.a however if they had travelled from Portsmouth they would have arrived in either Waterloo or Victoria (sorryI'm a bit of a rail enthusiast)
Kai chapter 26 . 5/28
Madam Bones isn't the most zoology interested person, is she? Her claim that apex predators lack stealth is not wholly wrong, but definitely not right as well. Wolves are normally pack hunters and don't need stealth. Bears aren't the stealthiest as well. Lions are, but it depends on their surrounding. Tall yellowish grass is what they're adapted for. But tigers? They're EXCELLENT at stealth. Most cats are, but tigers are among the best. What they're not is inconspicuous IF they're seen. Then all hell will break loose with such a predator out there.

By the way, in this chapter it's even more egregious than in previous ones: I'm not a native speaker, but even I know that "and" and "an" do not have the same meaning, they're not interchangeable, they aren't even the same part of speech. I would have to count them but there are over a dozen instances in this chapter alone. I know that a spell checker doesn't find those as long as they're spelled right. But a beta reader would. Or should at least. It's distracting as hell.
Kai chapter 12 . 5/27
Mongooses are a lot. What they're not is "rodent-like creatures". The only animal which are a little bit rodent-like are lagomorphs. At least they have a common ancestor, even if the differences are so substantial that the division into different groups has existed for a long time.
Mongooses are cat-like carnivores, herpestidae family. Mongooses eat rodents.
Kai chapter 7 . 5/25
It's not overly hard to sell Harry the idea of a multiple marriage. Just tell him the truth: the moment Dumbledore signed that contract without checking if a previous contract existed a multiple marriage had but one way around: death of one or more of the contracted parties. Now Harry has the choice: to kill, to die, to stay Dumbledore's pawn to be sacrificed at his puppet masters discretion (sacrifices have to be made, after all, just never something belonging to Dumbledore) or marrying multiple girls of his (and their) own choosing. None of the girls was part of the problem, so he can rant all he wants - against senile megalomaniacs - but they offer to be part of the solution and deserve not to be the target of the rant. It's not as if the girls were the cause for Dumbledore's stupidity or the insane laws of Magical Britain.
Critical reader chapter 34 . 5/23
Technically all right, but too much theorizing and politicking in the first few chapters, and a rather convoluted and forced way of trying to get out of the contracts by playing the system they do not like. I found the story rather tiring to read and am not surprised that it ran out of steam.

"V-voldemort would go after," Hermione sighed"

Why would Hermione stammer over Voldemort's name? It makes no sense, she hasn't been raised to fear him.
