Author has written 7 stories for Harry Potter. Author's Update (12/9/2018): I think writing my thesis gave me some low-grade writing trauma and I have had a very hard time getting back into writing for fun. I do jump in to write every once in a while, but I may not return to writing seriously in the future. Most of the time when I jump back into writing for a brief period, I'm working on editing Harry Potter and the Summer After to fit into the Surprise series. For some reason I can't move forward without having that completed. Sorry to everyone who has replied asking for sequels. I do still have the plans for a sequel and I have the desire to write it, but the time needed and the motivation to write is severely lacking. I also have a very mentally draining job providing therapy for people and my downtime is usually spent playing video games or watching Twitch or Netflix. I do check my email occasionally... sometimes... monthly at best. It's probably easier to reach me through Twitter if your question is urgent. My @ is NinjaNerd007. I had someone reach out to me about my Grimmauld Place blueprints I created and asked if they could use them in their story line (and credit me of course) so I said yes! If you want to check out their story, It's Extraordinary Summer by BrilliantLady. I hope everyone is well. :) Author's Update (1/22/2017): HELLO!!! How are all you lovelies? I have officially graduated with my Master's degree this month!! (6 months longer than I expected lol) But I had to write a thesis and that is hard. But I can now put letters after I sign my name! lol I have also been hired on at my internship site I've been working at for the last almost 3 years. So I graduated (90K in debt) and got a full time job! A few more things about me: I turned 30 last year and then in Dec. I had weight loss surgery done. I am working on changing up my lifestyle a bit and exercising more. My nephew was born and get to play with him all the time! He is the actual cutest little guy in the whole world. And the first thing I did in my newly acquired free time? Started working on my fiction!! Here's my plan going forward. I am turning my story Summer After into a Surprise compliant first story. I've wanted to finish that story for a long time now, but didn't know where to go. But now that I've done Surprise, I have a timeline for their summer. It's going to be heavily edited because I cringe whenever I read it, and updated to the Surprise universe. Once that is done, which I hope doesn't take too long since a large chunk is already written, I will write the sequel to Surprise, which is planned out in a rough outline. I will also, while working on SA, be hashing out the details of the sequel so once I am ready, it's only a matter of writing it and editing. Some people have commented that there were a lot of unresolved issues in Surprise, and that is true because they were leading up to the sequel which hasn't been written yet... But they will be resolved! Promise! If you have things you want to see in the sequel to Surprise, PM me those ideas and I'll try to fit them in or work them in a way to fit. It will be a while before I end up writing it or posting anything. Life gets busy sometimes and I have to adult more now. Which is also why I won't post anything until the whole story is written completely now. That means it'll be a while for large stories, but I might occasionally post one shots or short novellas. I definitely recommend my Favorites list if you're looking for something to read. Everything on there is golden! Thank you all for sticking with me! And for those newbies who join us! Thanks for the comments! I read them all! Love! Author's Update (3-8-2015): This is a bittersweet moment for me. I've just switched my story Surprise from 'In Progress' to 'Complete'. This has been 5.5 years, 73 chapters, and 320K words in the making. And all I can think about is the fact that I can't walk down stairs in the morning and tell my mom about this amazing accomplishment. I can tell my dad, but he doesn't get it like she did. Mom was the one to encourage me, she pushed me to work through my writer's block, she listened to me ramble on about plots and characters that she had no idea about anything, but she listened. And when she was sick, my readers sent in reviews with Birthday wishes and well wishes for her to help cheer her up. This story wouldn't be here if it weren't for her support. And all I can do is cry because she didn't get to see me finish. Author's Update: Just to remind everyone my beta is Teufel1987. I helped him out on his story for a while in return for his help, so everyone should check out his stories too. About Me! Name: Heather Age: 32 Location: I'm from Minnesota! The frigid northwest that is basically the Canada of the United States. Contact Info: My personal email is: lokihao@ I check it every once in a while but not as often as I should, its primarily an email for all my emails and google accounts. I do try to check it daily, but I often times forget...*shrug* oh well. If you email or PM me, I will eventually get it and probably reply. My Twittah: If you want to follow my random ramblings on the Twitter-sphere, clicky on this linksy -- TWITTAH My Username is NinjaNerd007 and I am witty as hell. I will amuse the socks off your stanky feet. My blog/forum website: I've had a few people interested in this recently and realized that I accidentally deleted the link to my personal blog/forum website. If I make blueprints for houses I design or photos I use for imagery, I post those photos here. I also occasionally post a blog update on my life, but recently haven't been blogging much. If you want to chat with others or me personally about my stuff, here's the second best place to do this (first being fanfiction.net.) Tattoo/Piercings: I have my bottom lip pierced. Right before going to the midnight showing of DH Part 1 I got a Deathly Hallows tattoo. I've got a couple other tats that have some sentimental sappyness behind them. I also have a dragon tattoo with the Hogwarts skyline behind it and the school motto (Never Tickle a Sleeping Dragon) in Latin underneath it. Past times: reading, writing, playing video games, Art (photography, painting, drawing, and computer arts are my faves; lately been getting into video as well.), sleeping, watching movies, YOUTUBE!!! I am highly addicted to Youtube...And Twitch now. Favorite inventions: YouTube, Twitch, cameras, cardboard pizzas and the flush toilet…wow those last two just don’t go well together at all… Animes: anything by Hiao Miazaki (Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Nausica of the Valley of the Wind, Princess Mononoke, and so on), and Death Note. Movies: Dogma, Harry Potter 1,2,4,5, 6, and 7p1&2 (Hated PoA); Lord of the Rigs trilogy; both Hobbits; Pirates trilogy; anything Classic Disney especially Mulan, Tangled, Frozen, and Aladdin; Juno; Accepted; Midsummer’s Night Dream (with Micky Roony); The Fifth Element; Without a Paddle; and many more. I have a ton of movies. Music: I love Pink, The Beatles, Beach Boys, 90s music like BBMac, Nsync, and 98 Degrees. Megan Trainor, Twenty-One Pilots, Maroon 5... I've also really gotten into YouTube musicians, like Hank Green, Molly Lewis, Charlie McDonnell, and George Watksy. I went to my first real concert in Chicago in April of 2015 to see Hank Green and the Perfect Strangers, The Driftless Pony Club, and Harry and the Potters. I am very eclectic when it comes to music. Television: Bones, Criminal Minds, and Doctor Who are my truest tv addictions. Anything else I watch is usually whatever is on and I happen to look at the TV. I’m not much of a TV person I hate commercials so I usually watch shows online, or on DVD. I recently got into the Big Bang Theory...very funny show! I'm also the Mack Daddy Supreme of Friend's Trivia. I also watch Walking Dead, Scrubs, Buffy:TVS, Switched at Birth, How I Met Your Mother, and Dexter on Netflix watch instant. Authors: J.K. Rowling, John Green, Ransom Riggs, Maureen Johnson, Michael Scott, P.C. & Kristen Cast, Scott Westerfeld, Shakespeare, A.A. Milne, Margret Mitchell, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Zora Neale Hurston, Amy Tan, Ken Kessey, Harper Lee, Caroline B. Cooney, Louisa May Alcott, Mark Twain, Emma Bull, Lois Sachar, Cassandra Clare, and many, many more. Future plans: Randomness: I'm an admin on a server that hosts the game Rust. I love pranking people but I rarely do it because if I do it too much they expect it. I'm freakishly accurate with a blow-dart gun. I like to cross-stitch. I get mistaken for a student at the high school I work at all the time, despite being in my 30s. I might start a gaming youtube channel with a friend of mine soon. I like weird pets, I have two axolotls named Matcha and Mochi. Matcha is a wild type axie and is green and black speckled. Mochi is a leucistic axolotl, which means it's kind of pinkish white with pink gills and black eyes. Now onto the Fan fiction! My fandom: Harry Potter. I might read other fandoms but I don't usually go searching for them. Shipping: canon so HP/GW, RW/HG, DM/AG, LL/RS, NL/HA, RL/NT, and so on. I rarely read slash or ships other than what I’ve already stated unless its tasteful and really well written and not just because the author didn’t get their way in canon and spends their time bashing on Ginny or Hermione. I despise Harry/Draco, Hermione/Snape or a Marauder, Hermione/Draco, and Ron/Lavender. I can only stomach Harry/Hermione if Ron isn't in the picture, which I don't like anyway, so I rarely find one I enjoy. Pet Peeves: [there's quite a few...these are only the tip of the iceberg.] 1] When authors put a/n’s in the middle of their fricken stories. A/N:’s go at the beginning or the end, and if I come across one in the middle (unless it’s noting where a different rating starts or ends) I exit out and find a different story. I don’t continue the story, and if it’s a crappy story anyways, I’ll review and tell the author what’s up. 2] Also, so many typos and grammatical errors that the reading is not easy flowing and hard to understand. This can be understandable to a certain point if the author's first language isn't the one the story is in, (ie: writing in English when you originally speak French) but please get a Beta if you don't speak that language. 3] Mistakes in canon. I get if you're writing in your own universe, but seriously, at least spell the character's names, Spells, and locations from Canon correctly. It's not that hard to type it into Google and check your spelling. 4] I can't read a story that has Ginny 3 years younger than she's supposed to be and Harry is a woman. Nuh-uh, no way, sorry, you're gross. Changing stuff super drastically like that is just too weird for me. 5] Why does everyone have Luna reading the Quibbler upside-down? There was one article the first time we meet her where the image shows runes that spell something when you look upside down at it, but she doesn't read every article upside-down! This really frustrates me! 6] The next one is Time Travel or Marauder fics where Dumbledore offers Lemon Drops to everyone. He states in the first book that its a muggle candy he's grown fond of. When he offers one to Minerva she doesn't know what they are which I take as its a new candy for him. If he'd eaten them for years and offered them up as frequently as some people show him, I'm sure he'd have offered them up to Minerva before Voldemort's downfall. So I take it as a new candy for him that he enjoys...which means he wouldn't have offered them before 1981...okay rant over. 7] I've really learned to hate it when people put a Prologue in as an entire chapter, which throws off the Chapter Counter. So they title things like, "Ch. 1: Prologue, "Ch. 2: Chapter 1 - Such and Such"...By the end of the story you see that it has say 32 chapters, but the last chapter is titled "Ch. Thirty-One." It makes me feel like I lost a whole chapter. I also realize that I kind of did this with one of my stories, but I still hate this. 8] Please, for the love of fiction, if you're going to attempt to type out someone's *cough*HagridorFleur*cough* accent, do it right...look up in canon how to do it. Fave Characters: (Besides the main Trio) McGonagall, Ginny, Tonks, Fred and George, Luna, Snape, Draco, Dumbledore, Sirius, and Hagrid. Fave Genre: I love humor stories and try to incorporate humor into my story as well. Angst stories are good too, if a story can make me tear up, awesome; if it can make me bawl (like Deathly Hallows) it’s a top notch story of the best caliber. I enjoy stories that have super!Harry or super!Any Good guy, unless it’s blatantly obvious and Harry doesn’t work for his power in some way. If he goes from one night normal to the next day super!Harry and doesn’t have to practice or anything, I don’t generally enjoy it (unless the powers are related to something like an illness or time traveling and body snatching a more powerful Harry). I recently got into a Dark!Harry story where he was raised by Voldemort but turns on him in the end! Wow! Great authors can do anything and make it awesome! Guilty Pleasures: Snape adopts Harry fics...I can't help it. The really well written ones leave me feeling all tingly and warm inside. *mush* But the all time BEST Snape adopts Harry is Resonance and sequels by greengecko (I've linked to that page below). I'm also slightly addicted to Time Travel fics. Fave Canon’s in order: DH, OotP, HBP, SS, GF, CS, PoA. My take on Canon and AU: Favorite FanFics: Resonance (and sequels) by greengecko And anything by YelloWitchGrl, Abraxan, Cygnus Crux, Worfe, and Melindaleo. Most of my faves list are definitely great stories so please check out my fave list too. There are 2 stories I think everyone should read, Harry Potter and the Antiquity Link by semprini and Harry Potter, Heir of Gryffindor by Brent Braten. Both stories are enough to inspire people to write their own stuff as well as fan fiction. Both are expertly written and are very deeply, emotional and philosophical, and in the case of Antiquity Link, cultural. Antiquity Link now has a sequel too called Harry Potter and the Amulet of the Moon by semprini and is just as freaking awesome as AL. My stories: I get a lot of inspiration from reading others’ stories, so my stories might seem typical at first, but give them a try. Never judge a book by its cover and don’t judge it by a 120 word summary either. I stick to the book canon, I see interviews as a cheap way of saying, “This info wasn’t important enough to put in the book, but I still like it, or want attention.” (Ie: Dumbledore’s sexuality or JKR's sudden dislike of the Hermione/Ron ship, like seriously? WTF?). War POV’s is a one shot that takes place during the final battle in DH. It covers the point of view of several characters during several parts of the battle; Before, during, and after Harry is “dead” and paraded about by Voldemort. The story uses several direct quotes from canon. It’s my first story I’ve ever written and posted, and I would like to hear what people think about it. Harry Potter and the Summer After (on Hiatus until further notice!) is a full length novel sized story, covering the summer after the war ends. It’s mostly canon based, but I do take a few liberties such as Beautiful Little Monstrosity is a joke. You know those "quizzes" where you list a bunch of people and then are asked things like would 2 go out with 7? Yeah this story is a take off someone's answer to a very...questionable response to one of those questions. It's very...you just have to read it to the end...it's only 5 very short chapters and it ends well. I promise. Be prepared to have to wash out your brain for the images you will get. I would suggest a PG-13 rating for this one. DON'T READ UNLESS YOU ARE 13 OR OLDER! Surprise! is a story where James and Lily actually lived that night...but spent 17 years in comas where no one but one person knew they were alive...Once Harry has defeated Voldemort he can awaken them again...It's a Post-DH canon compliant novel length story. It most likely will have a sequel eventually, once I finish the first story of HPatSA. I've been getting great reviews on this and more hits than the 320K word story...so, it must be good. Promises is a one shot that takes place one year after the Final battle. It's central character is George Weasley. It has a couple flashbacks to points in the last year and special events, like the twins B-day with only George. It's mostly George visiting Fred's grave and thinking about the last year. There's also a letter from Fred written right after the shop is purchased. It's a very emotional story, but not sob worthy I think. It's got some humor and teary moments. Rated PG (for my own understanding I use American ratings) there is a bit of talk about Alcohol, but not overly abused alcohol. It's Post-DH canon compliant I tried to get it posted on May 1st, but was about 8 days late. I had to finish school first. Harry vs. Mrs. Black is a very short one shot in which Harry and Mrs. Black's portrait get into a screaming fight that ends very...shockingly. Please enjoy my stories, and please review! Reviews are motivation to write more, and I always respond to reviews even if it’s just a “thanks for reviewing”. Each review is like a little reward for me! |
