seriously after that Legilimency attack and the following 3v1 I'd just flee from that family, even why not try to charge them into getting enough money for the contract cancelament or just removing it. He's also a guest and came alone, pretty much officially, and they attacked him, also while a legilimency attack is an Azkaban-friendly charge.
Maybe I haven't read well enough and there was some slip-up of a Confundus but after I've read about Potter's apology.. well, I've pretty much just skipped through the rest of the fanfic.
Even if Daphne is an alright girl, better to not try it out with such a family, also considering that they want an answer right there.
And if someone says that he unknowingly insulted them, still why with all that reaction, considering that one cannot expect their expectations to be recognized (different upbringing).
My language isn't perfect, as you may see, but I've tried.

Mate, I just finished the first part of this intriguing story today, and just couldn't stop myself from finishing all of this second part as well.

I must tell you, it has been some time since a fanfic intrigued me to this degree, and I was quite saddened to know that you decided not to continue it. I hope though, that my misgivings are for naught, and that you are merely taking a long (loooong) sabbatical from the tale.

I also hope that this glowing review helps you throw off the cobwebs of writers Block and give us poor readers a much needed infusion of storytelling goodness as soon as possible.
