![]() Author has written 68 stories for Digimon, Harry Potter, CSI, Pokémon, Vampire Diaries, and Walking Dead. Update November 24, 2017 I will be the first to say that I have let real life get in the way of my writing and for those who were/are awaiting updates for some of my stories, please let me start by apologizing for the delay. I know how frustrating it is to start reading a fanfic only to find that it is unfinished. For that, I am truly sorry. As a result, I will no longer be publishing anything new until I have completed some of my unfinished business, which I hope to start working on in the near future. It amazes me to think that I have been a member of the fanfiction community for fourteen years, starting when I was just thirteen years old. This site has been a constant in my life for so long and has seen me through many changes and life events. For that, I feel remorse for the last couple of years in which I've neglected it. I've hardly had time to sit and write in the last few years and I miss it. With the recent birth of my first child, I fear that I will have less and less time on my hands, which only strengthens my resolve to finish what I have started. I will have a tentative timeline in the near future. Thank you for your continued support and patience. 27Dayz Previous Profile Hi Everybody! So I thought I'd edit my profile. Maybe that will make me update, eh? (Jeez, can you tell I'm Canadian or what?). I joined because I want to be a writer someday and this is the first step. I hope you enjoy my stories and I know I'll enjoy reading your reviews, good or bad. I want to grow as a writer, so criticism is welcome. I've enjoyed writing since I was a small child and fanfiction.net has practically been my home since I was twelve. In fact, I just checked and I will be celebrating my tenth anniversary of membership on November 14, 2013. I suddenly feel old. Anyways, some of the fanfics on here are quite dated/old and I really don't have the heart to take them down. They're a reminder of some very humble beginnings. As such, if you find yourself reading them, please have some patience with them. I recently received my teaching degree and am thrilled to be in the workforce. Right now I find myself teaching math in a small community. I don't know where that came from as I am complete rubbish at math (If anyone can teach me calculus, it would be much appreciated). As such, I'm afraid that updates may be a bit sparse as I adjust to this crazy period in my life, but if you're patient, I will update. It is still a dream of mine to become a writer and I am still working towards it. Some Interests of Mine: Anime: Digimon 01 and 02, Pokémon Books: Harry Potter, Gone Series, The Vampire Diaries, Warm Bodies, Percy Jackson Series, Lord of the Flies TV shows: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Charmed, Friends, The Vampire Diaries, The Simpsons, The Big Bang Theory Couplings: Digimon: Takari Tk/Kari Harry Potter: Remus/Tonks Charmed: Piper/Leo CSI: Gil Grissom/Catherine Willows Pokemon: I've recently gotten back into Pokemon...why? No idea, but I'm gonna go with it. Rocketshipping Jessie & James Fanfiction Unfinished Business: Yes, I am very much aware that I have some unfinished fanfics out there. In this section, I would like to offer a prognosis for those unfinished pieces. Fated - Pokemon - Fated is my baby. It will absolutely be finished, I'm hoping by the end of this year if time permits. Then, if there is interest (and if I have the time), I am itching to write a sequel. Prepared For Trouble - Pokemon - The fantastic thing about this piece is that it is more a collection of parody poetry than story, which is perfect to add to or leave as is. At this point, it really depends on if the mood strikes me. Jaws - CSI - At one point, I wanted to make this piece a multi-chapter, but the inspiration waned. The only thing that prevents this from standing alone is one teeny-tiny sentence at the end. CSI: A Special Case - CSI - Ah, I had such high hopes for this. Alas, seeing the direction my favourite crime drama was forced in kind of put a damper on the creative spirit. If my other CSI stories were any indication, this was going to have grillows written all over it. It is unlikely that this will reach the conclusion I had planned all those years ago. We Got Married in Vegas - CSI - Of all the unlikely, cringe-worthy, clichéd plots that I could have come up with, I had to choose the "drunken wedding fiasco". Just rereading it makes me want to build a time machine and go back to stop my teenage self from posting this. Payback - Harry Potter - Actually, upon rereading this, I have an overwelming desire to take it to a close. It was written before HBP came out and was one of my first experiments with writing humor fanfiction. Sure, the plot is rather unoriginal and there are some annoying grammar/spelling mistakes, but it was a lot of fun to write. Maybe one of these days I'll sit down and attempt to give it closure. My Review Habits In all honesty, I am a bit ashamed of my habit to read a great story and then move on simply because I am too lazy to log in. I am working on this (it's been an ongoing thing for a long time now). When I find time, I do try to go back and reread fanfics and give them the attention that they deserve. I'm also trying to be more descriptive in my reviews. I appreciate those reviews that tell me how the reader felt about certain parts of a story or what they think of the characters. I want to pass along that same courtesy to other writers as it makes this process so much more enjoyable. When I read fanfics, I do pay special attention to grammar, spelling, and the like. Call it the teacher in me or the writer or whatever. In this day and age, it is not that hard to use spell check, grab a dictionary, or get a beta reader. The fact is that a well-written story is much more engaging than one filled with grammar and spelling mistakes. As such, when I read a fanfic, I usually follow these patterns: 1 - If there is one giant block of text, I don't bother reading. You have a space bar and an enter key for a reason. I may sound like a bag, but after reading countless book and fanfiction stories, I know by now what works for me and what doesn't. In Conclusion... I love reading and writing. This site is special to me in my quest to become a writer. To my family and friends, thanks for all of your love and support. To my readers, old and new, thank you and enjoy my work! |
