I'd like to point out that, according to Rowling's timeline, Lily and the Marauders went to Hogwarts 1971-1978, and the Trio from 1991-1998 (or would have, if Voldemort hadn't taken over the Ministry of Magic). 1980 was the year Harry was born.

I was actually hoping that they would remember everything and will be able to live with others ( except Peter ) . But the story's really nice .

Sirius merely told Snape how to get past the Whomping Willow—nothing more, nothing less. James wasn’t even aware of it until Sirius told him, and it was then he saved Snape at the end of the tunnel. Snape wasn’t forced to go; he went down there on his own accord like an idiot, fully aware there was a werewolf at the end. Then, instead of admitting he shouldn’t have gone down there—on a full moon no less—he irrationally blamed /James/ (and Sirius, although that’s a bit of a grey area) for “trying to kill him.”

James would never kill anyone, especially at /fifteen/—even a creepy bastard like Snape. Harry got his ‘noble git,’ ‘saving people thing’ from him.

If this is your James Potter, then I don’t know why Lily would ever marry him. His good qualities—his fierce loyalty, his kindness, his bravery, his determination, his brains—haven’t been shown that much except for when he apologised, his oozing charm and mischievousness, but they mean nothing if there’s nothing behind it. (After all Tom Riddle was charming and also a murderer and a liar, the Weasley twins were mischievous and gave Ron his arachnophobia.) I really hope they’ll be shown a bit more so his likability is justified—because I want to like him, being one of the protagonists and all. But how he’ll explain him plotting to murder a kid using their werewolf best friend will be interesting to see, of course. :)

Also, I just wanted to say that your writing is really good apart from a bit awkward phrasing here and there. Going by the grammatical standard of Time Travel fics in general, this is a work of art.

The plot is unique and well done, but the romance is so bad it hurts. It's true that Lily had some feeling for James at this point, but to do a 180 like that all of a sudden is not at all natural. People don't change that much after a few conversations.

I can't believe how this fanfic is not up there with 10k reviews! I believe people have just not stumbled upon it...their loss! Although my heart did die a little at the Moony-Prongs reunion and every time Sirius was mentioned, *cries in the corner* *comes back to write*, couldn't help but giggle at Luna's commentary *i had forgotten about it from the cannon*. Such accuracy and such brilliant protrayal of emotions is hard to find in the AU world. I wish I could review each chapter but I was just so caught up in reading and since the story was already completed when i started reading, i really couldn't wait. But seriously, brilliant writing

Uh, 2003? Dumbledore died in Harry's sixth year. 198016 1996 (though more likely 1997, given it was near the end or the school year). Harry would have been out of school for 5 years. Why'd you pick this date?
