Holy Cow! I read this 3 days straight. The only the time I would get away from reading was to sleep 3-5 hours, and then I was back at it. I loved it! I was wary on some parts when Harry was taking on girls left and right. But I continued on and I am so, so happy I did! Thank you for creating such an amazing story! You should be proud for writing something so amazing! Thank you again!

Harry was desparate when he say the dementors sucking Sirius' soul, and he wasn't able to cast a sustained Patronus even as his on fate grew worse... I would think that terror would be forefront with Harry, even as the rather anticlimatic patronus came from what he thought was James wand .

Confused. With Snape as guardian, why does no one discuss parents funds (should be his by 17.), blacks will, and dumberdore will. The last one because big D was sentimental and had plenty of time to put something in order, be it a tome on parchmnt charmung, wards at hogwarts). Also, no gifts of cash? Cant imagine someone not making after BigV was no more

I am amazed ... AGAIN ... to read this through. I actually prefer it much better than JKR's ending because of Snape; having him redeemed just feels so good. I know this was written years ago but if for some reason this author, GreenGecko, should ever see it, I would love to have this in audiobook form...Wow, wouldn't that be great? Thank you for writing this. I am completely in awe. Brilliant!

To all the people considering reading this story... trust me read the first 15 chapters and enjoy an amazingly well developed Snape learns to care for Harry plot.

Worth it.

I very much enjoyed this - I'd been in the mood for some "Severus adopts/mentors Harry" stories lately, but most of them are set earlier. This one is quite unique, and I think you caught all the characters fairly closely - except perhaps that your Harry is a bit too studious ;-)
I also enjoyed your OCs, particularly Suze was brilliant! Thanks for sharing!

I definitely understand why Harry is feeling so morose when suddenly his first Christmas with a real parent is being invaded even if Snape does deserve a chance to be happy and date now that he's not a spy/double agent/death eater.
I do hope that Harry learns of other career choices because I can't imagine him wanting to keep fighting. Maybe something with all the adventure but none of the dark wizards like curse breaking.

It occurred to me that even though I've been reading this consecutively for several days, so much has happened that I don't recall the origin. Why was Harry so tired to be taking a nap in the middle of the day? When Voldemort attacked. I remember that Cho and others of the DA were hanging out in the Gryffindor Common room but I don't remember why they were concerned for Harry. I recently read a fic where Harry had muggle cancer (Recnac Transfaerso) and was very tired all the time so he was napping then too when Voldemort attacked. I don't recall Harry having dreams where Voldemort tried to tempt him to the dark side. I'll have to go back and refresh my memory.
I am happy that Harry got out of the castle and has a house he can call home. I thought they were getting along so well so I don't understand why Harry is not wanting to talk or snapping at Snape. I thought in canon that Harry broke the mirror now when he found it wrapped and never opened after Sirius had died. So how'd it break here?

And I thought the dementor connection was so very interesting. I had hoped that Harry was fixing whatever made them dementors in the first place but it was instead fixing the cruel breaking that Voldemort had done.

Reread for me from way back in the day. A joy to read it then and today. Great story!

I loved this story very much, from the beginning all the way through to the end. Their relationship built up very nicely and realistically, which I really appreciate, and wasn't rushed at all. I had to laugh and smile so many times during this read, and I really want to thank you for that. The only thing I'm not the fondest of is this situation with Severus and Candide, I really don't like her very much. She doesn't seem right for him, in my opinion. But who knows, maybe they'll break up for good in the sequels.
