My name is Allison. I'm a twenty-something cancer research nurse. I live in the unfortunately hipster area of East Nashville, Tennessee in a home lovingly referred to as the Hobohouse with my boyfriend and our two dogs, Bellamy and Zoë.

I have an atrocious case of Wanderlust, and this has ended in me living in three other states and two countries in addition to visiting almost every country in western Europe as well as Ghana and Togo. Other interests of mine include epidemiology, the use of dogs as a form of therapy, researching medical topics for absolutely no good reason, drinking boba tea and, for those who are initiated into a large part of my world, enturbulatin'. I'm a hardcore Mahayana Buddhist if there's such a thing. Before switching over to nursing, I was a history and East Asian studies double major with a minor in French. As a result, I know a lot about completely useless things and understand French almost completely and Japanese to a certain extent. My biggest non-career goal is visiting North Korea because I'm completely convinced it has to be one of the weirdest places on earth. Whenever my boyfriend and I decide to get married (any time now, home slice), we want to go to Chernobyl for our honeymoon.
