This has been a very interesting story. My favorite parts are when Harry acts like Harry as opposed to all the spy stuff. I guess I just like the classicsyou did a very good job with your writing. I would like to point out something that none of Harry's friends nor Harry himself thought of: why not send Flamel a letter informing them of their evidence? I mean sure, that would make things more complicated for Harry, but not something that a Time-Turner wouldn't solve(so that Harry is present when Nick is around to ream Albus a new one, quite publicly in the Great Hall stating the fact he allowed Albus possession of the stone for research purposes, now he's receiving information from children who have far too much knowledge than they should have stating he wasn't doing what he told them he was). That level of dressing down would definitely impact Dumbledore's public persona, especially if Nicholas both talked down to him(like a teacher scolding a naughty first year) and brought him to task about the amount of damage he has allowed occur to the Hogwarts' Wards after all the time he spent as Headmaster of the school without even attempting to correct the damage done.

After all, Dumbledore is hardly the oldest living wizard/witch, a fact stated in canon in that Griselda Marchbanks was part of the Wizarding Exam Authority back when Dumbledore was taking his OWLs. I would say that puts her 20 to 30 years his senior and she has proven to be both in sound mind and body enough to continue her post as one of the Examiners. Estimated Canon age is 126 when Harry sits his OWLs.

And once again, you've forced canon to happen just to make things easier to write out. You made Harry declare he was entering and even stated that the person putting him in would face the consequences. So why would he willingly put himself in danger because Dumbledore wanted?

The world expects Harry to be a 14-year-old boy who doesn't have the magical training, knowledge nor the experience of the other champions. Harry is supposed to be this so WHY would he accept Dumbledore's request? There is no logical reason and you didn't even attempt to give the ready one apart from "oh well, might as well."

I'm sorry but it's obvious that you've tied yourself to the books too much and its ruined the story. I suspect that the end of the year would have seen the great Unspeakable Harry stunned and bound just so you could have that entire scene repeated.
