![]() Author has written 1 story for Vampire Knight. I've been bumming around FF for close to seventeen years now, ever since I stumbled upon it in the waning years of 1998 over Christmas break. Many of the friends I made on this site are gone now – they are productive members of society who have more important things to do with their time – and many of the stories I loved are no longer available. It’s a sobering thought to suddenly realize that the little site I knew and loved has turned into this massive depository of fanfiction. I wrote my first fanfiction story at the age of 6, or rather, I said it out loud and my mother wrote it down for me. At the time I didn’t know what I was doing – I thought it was just plain old writing, the concept of copyright laws never entering my young mind – and I have been doing it in one form or another for a better part of the 19 years after that first endeavor. I came to the site for Gundam Wing back in the day, stayed because of Chrono Crusade, and decided never to leave because of Harry Potter, Naruto, and Glee. I’ve had Two Faces up for several years now, the odds of it getting finish dwindle more and more every day. I haven’t read the manga in over four years, and my mind is ever beset with new plots that sometime morph into little drabbles that never leave my computer. I fear that it will never truly be finished. Someday I may rewrite it, but until then it will sit there as a reminder of what my style was originally like. ABOUT MY WRITINGS I do not like to be ordered about by people who read my stories, nor can I or will I be forced to update on a schedule of any kind without ruining my – albeit pathetic – social life. I am not here to prove anything to anyone. I am not here to use fanfiction as a training ground for breaking into the world of professional writing and most of all I am not here to make you all feel warm and fuzzy. I am here to write the stories that I would like to read and to hopefully get better at doing so...if I make a few people smile at my work - well - I can live with that. So if anyone has a problem with the lack of updates around here, tough luck folks, it'll get done on my terms. My style is fairly simplistic compared to the plethora of talented writers on this site. My plots are rarely convoluted and tend to be pretty simple. That being said, I have a tendency to write things a little darker and angst filled then they necessarily need be. However, I am a product of Disney: I am a romantic at heart, and I like my endings happy. But as my favorite childhood author Brian Jacques once said, “…sometimes the good guys don’t make it. Sometimes the bad guys take a little of the sparkle of life with them before they are vanquished. And sadly, that is life.” REVIEWS My life does not depend on your reviews but it does make me happy and feel appreciated when you review constructively and that my stories make you think about the characters and the plot and how I weave them together. I do not judge my stories based on how popular they are but I do like to see interest go up after I put so much work into conveying a story that you may or may not thought about before. As for my view on comments...flames don’t bother me at all as long as you give advice with them. Flaming just to flame isn't only pointless but annoying. I write for myself mostly so I don't care but I'm always open to ideas and advice about my stories. Flames will be used to roast the marshmallows for my s’mores. =) |
