Hi.

I revisit this story at least 3x a year, not sure what triggers me to think of coming back to read it but it’s no doubt one of the best Glee stories ever written. Whoever was your muse, your beta and whomever helped you bring this story to life, I owe them everything for inspiring you. God bless you and I hope you’re staying safe during this time. This story has allowed me to heal from a really bad time in my life, I’ve let go of the pain and hurt and I’m now at peace. This story had me crying many times, whenever I read in public, people would ask if I were okay. Rachel is the sweetest thing and I love you kept her so tiny much like canon Rachel and Shelby is one heck of a mom to fight for her baby girl the way she did. Thanks for this story and wherever you are, I hope you’re following whatever dreams you’ve set for yourself

Not sure how I just got around to reading this but wow I’m shook lol what a wild and epic ride! Not lying when I say I went through the full spectrum of emotions reading through LGL and that’s a testament to your incredible writing and storytelling! I enjoyed reading about little Rachel here. My heart shattered into a million pieces at everything little R went through but you did a rock solid job of putting it back together by writing this beautiful relationship between Rachel and Shelby and all of the unconditional love between them. Their journey to fight and overcome and find their way as a family was very touching. Loved this to the end. Thank you so much for sharing, LSAM :)

I thought you did a great job on this story. My heart broke for everything that little Rachel had to suffer through, but she finally ended up where she belonged with her Mother who helped her through it. I'm glad that Hiram got what he deserved. Leroy should have joined him in hell for standing by and allow Hiram to do all of those intolerable acts of violence on his child. Interesting twist with Hiram already having twin boys and an ex-wife who were just as evil as he was.

I loved Shelby's family and how you used the other Glee characters and their families. I would have liked Shelby's brother Eric to be in more and help balance out all of her sisters, but I get why you didn't use him as much. Loved DJ and Rachel forming a close bond from the start. Using Santana, Brittney, Quinn, and Mercedes being her friends and bringing their families into their circle formed a nice support system. Of course little Noah was a bad boy lol.

I'll admit, I was a little uncomfortable with the breastfeeding, but Rachel was still young enough where it was considered normal and gave them a chance to truly bond and make that connection that they were denied when she was born. I've read a fic or two were she's a teenager doing it and that just completely grossed me out. Just NO!

You had a lot of great moments and hit most of the emotional beats. I enjoyed reading this and look forward to reading the sequel. Thanks for sharing.

Ok I think you might have made me cry with that ending. I can think of so many things I want to see in a sequel. More shenanigans. More of Rachel being a regular kid. Maybe Shelby having to physically discipline Rachel, and how she handles that. So many possibilities.
