![]() Author has written 4 stories for Glee, and American Horror Story. Hi, what can I tell about myself? What do I love about fanfiction? I love about it that you can spin your own tales and fantasies around characters you really like. If the real story on TV does not work out as you would like it to, you can just write your own version. Or you can describe what goes on behind the scenes we see flicker across the screen. Or just make up completely new stories, pairings, surroundings etc.. And I like it that there are so many great writers out there sharing their ideas and stories to give this whole fanfiction universe life and enlarge the whole series experience. So you can enrich your world even more with your favorite characters. What makes a good story? A well written story first of all has to have authentic characters. They have to stay true to themselves - if they don't then there should at least be an understandable and well written explanation. A story has to be plausible. I absolutely love it if characters evolve, if they develop further, overcome hurdles and obstacles and grow through them. I love to read about their thoughts and feelings. What goes on in their heads? What are their motivations? Some humor doesn't hurt, though :-). Which fanfictions do I like? I absolutely loved Glee, but was a bit disappointed with the last seasons. I would have wanted Quinn back, sigh. BIG sigh. And I would have loved for her to have lots of interaction with Rachel. And there we are at my favorite pairing - Faberry! Other favorite shows are X-Files (the unfinished "Going nowhere" fanfiction series from Nicole Perry is incredible), Star Trek Voyager (Janeway and Seven, also a very nice couple! Gina L. Dartt did an absolutely outstanding job with her Just Between series). Then there is Castle and Rizzoli & Isles. Those two have great humor and interaction between the main characters! Have I written any fanfiction yet? Well, yes. One X-Files (unfinished) and 2 Voyager stories (finished). But I have not published them. Maybe I will. But I am currently writing a Faberry fanfictionworking title "The opend door", which is the sequel to "A door in the wall". I have starte working in parallel on a second Faberry fanfic " A lazy day" which ist still missing the last chapters. Where am I from? Germany. English is not my native language. I love the language and since I am speaking and writing and reading everything in English all day long due to my job, I somehow find it very difficult to write stories in German. So I have never tried. Weird, huh? I know my English is not perfect, but I challenge every English native speaker to try speaking German (or any other language for that matter) at the same level as many of us non-natives speak English - THEN we're talking :-)! No offense! :-) Constructive feedback is always welcome. All right, let's get going! You can follow me on Twitter, but I don't tweet about fanfiction (I tweet in English and German) -- msevaverena |
