What a lovely story. Thank you for writing this gem!

Ok, so I basically binged this entire in three days, it was so good. I found it through a recommendation in another insert story called Triumphant, the Dreamer by Shadowblayze and at first I wasn't sure if I would read it or not. The thing is, I haven't read any of the Lord of The Rings books or seen the movies, all I know of it is from video clips of scenes and pop culture. I am so, so, so, so glad I decided to give this story a chance. Even with my very bare knowledge of all things Tolkien, this story was so enjoyable and charming, that all the information and backstory weren't needed as this truly felt like Maddie's story with your writing. I don't know how to put into words how much I loved every second of reading this; from your writing to the characters to the ending especially. I absolutely loved Maddie and her journey in Middle Earth. As someone who has played around with the idea of writing a SI-OC/world transmigration story, I can only hope that if I ever do end up writing one it will turn out half as beautiful as yours. It was an amazing journey from start to finish and I'm glad I gave it a chance.

Aww, I really wanted to see Maddie saying hello to Butterbur, that'd have been awesome. From the waif of a girl who washed pots and pans all the way to Lady Maddie, Lady of the Secret Fire. I think his reation would have been incredible...maybe an Omake chapter in a separate story for him meeting her, alongside those two people in the town she first entered, the name of which escapes me.

All in all, an excellent story, though I do believe having her as a wanderer was also a pretty nice idea for her ending. That might just be my wanderlust piping up though, I love the idea of riding around the lands astride a barded Destrier, emblazoned cloak on my shoulders.

This was probably the best self insert/oc story I have ever read, and I've read a lot. I'm writing one as well, and quite frankly I'm a bit jealous. I don't think I'll ever be able to put together something this cohesive and consistently good. This has the quality of good novels, and I hope that you still write and will/have written some original stuff too. This is on par with professional novels.

I say Erynion should be paired with Maddie, don't know if its too late to give my input, but still lol love the story so far!

Oh good, stuff is happening again! This is very well written don't get me wrong, but sometimes adhering so strictly to realism can be a bit boring.

She remembers the plot of Lord of the Rings right next to Gandalf AND THEN LEAVES?

Sheesh, did she only like watch the Lord of the Rings trailer or fall asleep while watching it on Netflix or something?

I like your perspective of the girls fall's into middle earth, particularly in terms of the otherness of the elves.
Yet storywise, I find that I lack motivation to keep reading, since the story doesn't seem to go anywhere and there is much suffering, yet there seem to be no hope of things improving for her and the suffering doesn't have any meaning that I can see.
