Hey y'all! I know this isn't my best work, but I've been wanting to start this story back up again. I don't know how soon I'll be able to get the next chapter up, so please be patient with me!

Let me know what y'all think!

Shelby parked her car along the curb, glad to be third in the pick up line at McKinley. Her classes were in the morning, giving Shelby a few hours to squeeze in a few clients and do some housework and errands. Though typically, Shelby would be setting up for rehearsals, the mom decided to hold of on them until after the third week of school, especially after seeing her girls' homework load. And it was only the end of the first week. Even Shelby wasn't handing out much homework, yet.

She didn't have to wait long for the end of the day bell to ring and a short time later, students started pouring out of the building. The first of her children to exit the school was Brittany. The girl had a study hall last hour and usually spent it in the library, which was near the front doors, making her the first to leave school. She hurried to the large SUV and hopped in the front seat.

"Hey, Sweetie, how was school?" Shelby asked, leaning over to kiss the girl's temple.

"It was okay. I think I need new shoes for gym though." Brittany sighed. "Mine are kinda getting a little worn out."

"We will go on Wednesday, okay?" Shelby replied. "I'm sure your sisters need some new gym shoes too. I forgot it was all you four wore when we went camping over the summer. All that hiking really took a toll on your already broken in shoes."

"Maybe we could look at some light jackets too?" Brittany asked hopefully.

"Sure, I don't see why not. It's probably a good time to look into winter jackets as well."

"Oh, there's Quinn and Rachel." Shelby said, spotting the pair talking to Noah Puckerman and Finn Hudson.

Though Shelby didn't say anything, Brittany could tell that it was concerning the woman that Quinn was talking to the father of the child she gave up for adoption. It wasn't that she didn't want the two talking, it concerned her that Quinn was potentially looking to have another fling with the known bad boy. The last two times the teenagers dated, it ended badly and Quinn didn't come out of her room for days. It was always hard on the girl.

Her attention then turned to Finn and Rachel. They were standing awfully close, but it didn't bother Shelby, until the boy reached up and tucked a piece of Rachel's long hair behind her ear. Then, the quarterback bent down and kissed Rachel's cheek.

"Mom, did you see-"

"Yes." Shelby cut her off. "Let's not make any mention of it when she gets in the car."

"Rachel has a boyfriend." Brittany said in a sing-song, high pitched voice.

Shelby didn't reply to her daughter, but instead made a mental note to have a chat with the brunette later. She didn't mind Rachel dating, however, she believed Rachel needed to come to her first about making the decision to be in a relationship. At sixteen, it was Shelby's job to make sure the girl was making the right choices in life. And she definitely was not going to have another Brody type situation EVER again.

After being kissed, Rachel bowed her head as she began to blush deeply. Shelby watched the action and smiled to herself. It was kind of adorable to see her daughter acting so shy around a boy. After Rachel got over being kissed, she turned to look over her shoulder and noticed her mother's car and saw Brittany was already inside. She nudged her sister and motioned towards the SUV and the two girls said their goodbyes to the jocks.

"Have you seen San?" Shelby asked Quinn and Rachel as they climbed into the car, totally ignoring the boy situation for now.

"No." Rachel answered.

"I saw her heading to the Cheerio locker room." Quinn said. "She said something about needing a few minutes."

"Did Coach Sylvester have anything planned?" Shelby asked.

"Not that I know of and Santana didn't tell me that I need to go with."

"Yeah, I didn't hear anything about a meeting." Brittany informed her mother.

Shelby gave a light sigh. Her child was up to something. She did not like it when her children were up to something. She undid her seat belt and turned to Brittany. "Honey, I need you to move the car over to one of the visitor parking spaces."

"Where are you going?" The girl asked, undoing her seat belt as well to move into the driver's seat.

"I am going to find your sister." Shelby answered. "Quinnie, come with me."

"Okay."

Shelby and Quinn got out of the car and Rachel climbed over the center console to sit in the seat Brittany had just vacated. It was starting to get busier in the parking lot and entrance of the school, so Shelby and Quinn had to weave in and out of the crowd to get inside. Quinn tried to pull out her phone to warn Santana that they were on their way to the locker room, not sure if her sister was doing anything wrong or not. However, Shelby noticed what she was doing and immediately plucked the phone from the girl's hands.

"You can have it back in a minute." Was all Shelby said as she pocketed the device. "Are you sure Santana didn't tell you anything."

"I promise I don't know what she is up too or who she is with. All I know was she was going to the locker room." Quinn replied. "Maybe she forgot her work-out bag? I don't remember seeing her with it or not."

"I am not saying she is doing something she shouldn't be or not, but I am going to find out. It is not like her to take so long to leave school. Even for her work-out bag. She's forgotten it before and has not cared and just packed a new one the next morning." Shelby said, not sure if she was talking to Quinn or herself.

Quinn didn't say another word as they reached the locker room reserved for only cheerleaders. Shelby placed her hand on the door and was about to push it open when she stopped and faced Quinn.

"I want you to go back to the car." Shelby told her and waited for Quinn to leave before proceeding into the room.

Shelby was quiet with her steps as she slowly walked through the sets of lockers. She carefully listened for any noise and upon hearing some loud whispers and some snickering, Shelby headed towards the showers. Keeping her presence a secret, Shelby hid behind the wall separating the lockers from the showers, and watched what the six girls, including Santana were up too.

"Hurry up, Santana, she's going to be back any minute." One of the girls Shelby was not familiar with, whispered loudly.

"I don't know guys, don't you think she'll tell?" The Latina hesitated.

"Since when did you become a wimp?" The first girl sneered. "You used to not care about getting in trouble."

"I know, but things are different." Santana replied.

"Come on, Addisyn isn't going to tell on us anyway. She knows we will make her life hell if she does." A second girl piped in.

Shelby sucked in a deep, angry breath as she watched her daughter take a gym bag hanging on the wall. Just as Santana was about to pour a red colored liquid into the bag, Shelby took four large steps forward and yanked the bag from Santana.

"What the hell do you think you are doing?" Shelby narrowed her eyes at Santana. She didn't give the scared girl any time to say a thing before turning to the five other girls, who were about to run out of the locker room. "Do. Not. Move."

With those three chilling words, all six girls were frozen in their spots.

"Mom, I-I." Santana stammered.

"You have no idea how much trouble you are in Santana Maria. I am very angry and very disappointed in you." Shelby said.

"I-I'm sorry." Santana said with tears filling her eyes.

"You are nowhere near sorry, yet." Shelby narrowed her eyes some more. "All six of you are going to the office right now."

Shelby held a firm grip on Santana's upper arm as the seven females made their way to Figgins' office. Thankfully, the man was alone and Shelby was able to take the girls directly into his personal office.

"Miss Corcoran? What is going on?"

"I have just caught my daughter and a few of her teammates about to destroy another teammate's belongings." Shelby explained. "I am expecting them to be properly punished and for them to each issue an apology to the girl."

"Well, I will discuss the situation with Coach Sylvester and see what she thinks is an appropriate punishment." Figgins said to Shelby.

As the principal spoke, she watched as all six girls' faces relaxed into smirks. It didn't take Shelby long to figure out that they all knew they were not going to be in any type of trouble. Santana, still sporting her smirk, turned to look at Shelby. But when the woman showed that she was not amused, Santana's smirk faded and she hid her head. She knew whether she was punished at school or not, she was definitely in a lot of trouble at home.

"It's quite clear to me that you do not intend to properly punish these girls for bullying and attempting to destroy property that does not belong to them." Shelby started. "So, if their punishment is anything less than a week's detention, three days in-school suspension, or three days of out of school suspension, which all include being banned from cheerleading practice for the entire length of their punishment, I will have no other choice than to remove my child from the Cheerios."

"What? Mom, no!" Santana quickly spun around. "You can't do that to me."

"Sit down." Shelby bit. "You will not say another word, unless asked by an adult. Do you understand me?"

"But-"

"Santana." Shelby firmly said.

"Yeah." Santana said in a defeated tone, sitting back down.

"Now, Mr. Figgins, can I expect a proper punishment?" Shelby questioned the man.

Ten minutes later, Shelby, Figgins, and Sue were having a heated conversation over what punishment the girls should face. Shelby was sticking to her guns about the detention or suspensions, and the ban from practice. Sue, however, was of course not having it, stating it was just a matter of the high school food chain. Addisyn was new and needed to learn her place. To Sue, Santana, Brittany, Quinn, and the five girl involved in the incident had earned their place at the top of the pyramid and from day one, Addisyn had the attitude of thinking she was better than everyone.

"So you condone bullying?" Shelby crossed her arms. "These girls are supposed to be role models for other kids to look up to."

"Ladies, I know we can come up with a punishment that we will all be satisfied with."

"Can it, Tikka Masala." Sue scoffed to the man. "These girls will not miss a single practice or spend a moment in any detention. They did nothing wrong."

"Fine." Shelby said, seeing she wasn't going to get anywhere with Sue or the wussy Principal. "If you do not think these girls deserve any sort of punishment, then I am removing Santana from the team."

"You have no power to do so." Sue laughed. "Only I have the power to remove a student from my squad."

"I may not have the power to take Santana off the team at a school level, but as her guardian, I do have the right."

"Guardian?" Sue's eyebrows drew together in confusion.

"Yes, I am Santana's guardian."

"She lives with her deadbeat dad." Sue replied.

"She does." Shelby nodded. "Her father's rights were fully granted by the courts several weeks ago, and her biological mother's were terminated. At that same hearing, her father asked the judge to grant me guardianship of Santana in the event that if something were to happen to him, she would come to me. In the arrangements, we also agreed to a custody agreement. So, I have the right to whatever it is I please in regards to Santana."

"Mom, please." Santana begged. "I will apologize to Addiysn and I'll agree to a week's detention, but please don't take me off the squad."

"I am sorry, Santana, but my mind is made up." Shelby said. "Your father agrees it's the best decision when I texted him while we waited for Coach Sylvester to arrive."

"You can't do this to me." Santana began to cry.

"I am not discussing this anymore with you right now." Shelby said, picking up Santana's backpack and gym bag. "Let's go, we need to get home."

Santana cried the entire way to the car. She continued to cry the entire way home, while her sisters sat awkwardly, wondering what had happened. Fifteen minutes later, Shelby pulled into the driveway of her house and put the car in park.

"Rachel, please bring up the garbage cans from the road." Shelby calmly asked.

"I'll do it, Mom. Rachel was the one to take them down this morning, remember?" Quinn softly interjected, knowing it was her week to bring the plastic bins back up to the house.

"Thank you, Quinn for being honest." Shelby gave the girl a reassuring smile.

The small family got out of the car. Quinn shouldered her backpack and hurried down the driveway to get the trashcans. Shelby stood by the front door and held it open for Quinn, then closed it behind her once they were inside.

"Mom, can I have a protein bar?" Rachel asked, kicking off her Mary-Jane's

"Do you have any homework?" Shelby asked.

"Just a couple math problems I didn't finish earlier."

"What about you, Quinn and Brittany?" Shelby asked the two girls.

"No, Mom." Quinn shook her head.

"I have a chapter to read for English." Brittany replied.

"Alright, Rachel and Brittany, you need to get your homework and go sit at the kitchen table and get started. Quinn, I want you to go over to the bookshelf and pick a book to read. You may all have a light snack since I will not be able to start dinner on time tonight." Shelby said. "Santana, you are to go upstairs to my room and stand in the corner. I will be up soon."

Santana hung her head as she climbed the stairs. It was never a good thing to start out in the corner and have to wait. It usually meant Shelby was too angry to punish her girls in that moment and needed some time to calm down.

And it was completely true. Shelby was too angry to deal with Santana right this moment. She needed some time. She also needed to take some time to talk with Quinn and Brittany about the Addisyn thing. It seemed as though, with the way Sue spoke, it was a thing right now for the veteran cheerleaders to be picking on the newcomer. She needed to find out if Santana was the only one engaging the bullying acts.

"Brittany and Quinn, come to my office, please." Shelby called to the girls as she walked towards her office door. She didn't have to wait long for her girls to appear and had them sit down so they could talk. "Obviously, you both know something happened when I went looking for Santana. Now, I am not going to go into details, but it involved a girl named Addisyn."

It didn't go unnoticed by Shelby the sudden change in demeanor the two demonstrated. "Have either one of you participated in the bullying of this girl? Now is the time to be honest with me. Remember, your sister is currently nose deep in a corner and will give up any information in an attempt to get a lesser punishment."

"Well, I haven't done anything to Addisyn or said even a cross word." Quinn started. "But I have seen others be mean to her."

"So you stood by and watched while she was picked on?" Shelby raised a perfectly manicured brow. Quinn nodded. "And you, Brittany?"

"Same as Quinn." She whispered.

"Let me get this straight, you both have witnessed her getting teased and bullied, but did nothing to stop it? Have either one of you been asked to help tease or prank her?" Both girls heads slowly moved up and down. "In case you were wondering, there will not be a punishment handed down by Principal Figgins or Coach Sylvester. That does not mean, however, that Santana will not receive any sort of discipline here at home."

"Are we in trouble, Mom?" Brittany asked.

"Not as much as your sister, but yes, there is going to be consequences." Shelby nodded. "I have informed both Figgins and Miss Sylvester that Santana will no longer be a Cheerio. Not only Julio and I decide to remove her from the team because of her bullying, but because we do not think its appropriate for her to be coached by someone who condones bullying. I am also going to be pulling the two of you from the squad."

"What?"

Mom, please don't."

Shelby held her hand up, silencing both girls who were speaking at once. "This is not up for debate and this discussion is over. Tomorrow morning, I will be taking the three of you to Coach Sylvester's office to hand in your uniforms and any other items she may want back."

"But I love to cheer, please don't take that from me." Quinn began to cry.

"I hate that I have to do this, but it is for the best." Shelby said, reaching over to take Quinn's hand in hers. "There is a community squad that you all can try-out for in the spring, if you so choose, but as long as that woman is in charge of the Cheerios, you will not be on the school's team."

"This isn't fair." Brittany angrily said as she stood up.

"You have every right to feel that way." Shelby acknowledged. "However, it is not fair that a grown woman, a teacher no less, thinks it is okay to torment a child or let others torment her."

"I can't believe you." Brittany said, backing away from Shelby and Quinn. "I hate you!"

"You're ruining everything I have worked so hard for." Quinn said, following Brittany out of the room.

Shelby sat in her chair and listened as the girls ran up the stairs and into Quinn's room, slamming the door shut as hard as they possibly could. In any other instance, Shelby would have been hot on their trail. She would have spanked them for the way they spoke to her, for stomping around the house, and slamming the door. She knew, though, that it would not be effective in this moment. It would only ignite the flames that were already brewing.

It took a few minutes, but eventually Shelby left her office and went to check on Rachel. The girl had long finished her homework and her snack sat in front of her, untouched. She'd heard the blow up from the kitchen. She heard Brittany say she hated Shelby and Quinn blame her for ruining her life. Rachel had no idea what was going on in her family in that moment. Santana was in trouble for something and Brittany and Quinn were mad at Shelby. Still, the girl felt as though her family was breaking. Hot tears began to slide down her face.

Shelby walked into the kitchen just as Rachel wiped away the few tears. She didn't say anything, but knelt down next to Rachel and gathered the girl in her arms.

"Hey, come now, it's alright." Shelby softly said, running her fingers through Rachel's hair.

"They hate you." Rachel cried.

"They didn't mean it, Rach." Shelby assured her. "Right now, they do not agree with a decision I made, but it will be okay. Once they calm down, they'll understand why."

"And you're mad at Santana." Rachel continued.

"I am unhappy with her, yes, but once she makes everything right, she will be forgiven and we will move on."

It took Shelby several minutes to calm Rachel down and when she did, Shelby left Rachel in the kitchen to eat her snack while she went to talk with Santana. The Latina was in the corner just as Shelby had instructed her to be upon her arrival into the bedroom. Shelby could hear the faint tear-filled sniffles from Santana's spot in the corner as she made her way to sit on the edge of the bed.

"Santana, come here." Shelby's voice was not angry, but there was a firmness to her tone that told Santana to not mess around. With Santana in front of her, Shelby reached over to the nightstand and grabbed the package of baby wipes, pulling three from the pouch. She made quick work of wiping away Santana's snot and tears, then used the last one to remove all of Santana's make up. "I want to know what you were thinking. Why would you even consider doing such a thing?"

"I don't know." Santana pitifully replied while Shelby wiped at her face.

"I don't know is not going to fly tonight, Young Lady." Shelby said, reaching her hand around to swat Santana. "You had better find something to say."

"Everyone picks on her, though, Mom." Santana whined.

"That does NOT make it okay for you to engage in it as well."

"I had to do something, she thinks she's better than everyone. I worked hard to get where I am at."

"Santana, we both know the only reason you've gotten to be where you are is because you were Coach Sylvester's minion. You didn't earn your spot for your talent, you've earned it for your rude, manipulative behavior, which I thought we had put a stop to." Shelby raised a perfectly manicured brow. "Did we not?"

"We did." Santana sighed. "But I had to do it, or else I was going to lose my spot on the team."

"And now look at what as happened." Shelby replied. "Now, you don't have a spot on the team at all."

"And it's not fair."

"I do not want to hear another word about how it is not fair." Shelby quickly said. "I had every intention to come up here and have a talk with you and not spank you, but if you insist on starting an argument with me, I will take you over my knee."

"Sorry." Santana softly said.

"As I have already informed your sisters, the three of you will be turning in your uniforms first thing tomorrow morning and you will be apologizing to Addisyn. You've had a hand in making her first week at McKinley a living hell, so I want you three to invite her over for dinner one night in the next week, what ever works for her."

"So I have to be friends with her?"

"No, I am not saying you have to be friends with her, but this will give you the chance to get to know her. You may find that you actually like her."

"I doubt it." Santana mumbled to herself.

"That spanking is not off the table just yet, Santana Maria."

"Oh alright, I'll invite her over for dinner." Santana groaned.

"Good." Shelby said, satisfied. "Now, I want you to go to Quinn's room and get your sisters. If they are not in this room in three minutes, you can let them know that I have a wooden spoon with their names on it."

"Yes, Ma'am." Santana said and scampered off to get her sisters.

Shelby waited for Santana to leave before getting off her bed and going to her closet. On the top shelf, she grabbed the wooden spoon she kept hidden there and sat on her bed, waiting for the full three minutes before heading off to Quinn's room. She knew it wasn't going to be an easy task of getting her daughters to speak to her, but it was going to happen one way or another.

Shelby reached the closed bedroom door and shook her head as she heard Quinn telling Santana to tell Shelby to fuck off. It again, wasn't her intention to spank any of her children tonight. She wanted to talk everything out, as this was not a situation where a spanking would fix everything. However, Shelby did not tolerate swearing, especially when it was meant for her.

Placing her hand on the door knob, Shelby carefully opened the door, not wanting to run into either of the girls. Santana moved out of the way just in time to avoid the door hitting her arm, and her eyes went wide at the sight of the spoon. Her hands instinctively went to hide her backside.

"San, you may go to my room." Shelby said, dismissing the teenager. She waited the total of five seconds it took for Santana to leave the room before she turned to Brittany. "Unless you want some swats of your own, I suggest you follow Santana. Quickly."

That was all it took for Brittany to hurry out of the room, her bottom untouched. Shelby closed the door behind her tallest daughter and she took a few steps closer to Quinn.

"Did I hear you right?" Shelby asked, placing her hands on her hips. "Did I hear you tell Santana to tell me to fuck off?"

"I-I.." Quinn gulped.

"Stand up and take off your jeans." Shelby said. "Now."

Quinn whimpered as she got off her bed and unbuttoned her jeans, pushing them down to be a puddle at her feet. She did not move as Shelby took her spot on the bed and tugged her over her lap. Six hard, stinging swats were placed on Quinn's bottom, causing the girl to squeal after each one. For a moment, Quinn thought she was going to be stood up, but Shelby's hands did not help her up. Instead, the woman's hands worked the light pink panties down to sit just above Quinn's knees.

"Ow! Ow!" Quinn hollered as six more swats landed on her bare skin. Shelby swatted her four more times. One on both cheeks and the third and fourth on her sit spots.

Quinn's panties were put back in place and she was stood up to face her mother. "What do you have to say for yourself?"

"It's stupid that you're taking me off the team for something Santana did!" Quinn shouted.

All Shelby could do was shake her head. She stood up and walked Quinn to the master bedroom and made her sit on the hard floor. Santana and Brittany were sitting on the bed and so Shelby grabbed the arm chair from the corner of her room and dragged it to be where all the girls could see her.

"No matter what what you three may say, I am not changing my mind about removing you from cheerleading. I do not mind if you find another team to join, so long as Sue Sylvester has no part in it." Shelby said. "I know you love cheering, and I believe you three are very talented. I want the three of you to be on a team that lifts each other up, not tear each other down to get to the top."

"I didn't do anything, though, Mom. I shouldn't be punished." Quinn said.

"And that's the problem, Quinn." Shelby replied. "You might not have said anything hurtful or pranked her, you did nothing to stop it. You did not come to me or another teacher. For that I am very disappointed in all of you. Until you can prove to me that you can do the right thing and not succumb to peer pressure, cheer is off the table until spring try-outs for the community squad roll around. For now, your focus is school, glee, and your family."

"It's still not fair." Quinn sighed.

"It's plenty fair." Shelby replied. "So, you need to drop that attitude. Do you remember when Rachel was attacked by Mercedes and those other kids? Rachel was so upset and could hardly eat for days. She cried and cried. How did that make you feel?"

"I was so mad." Quinn said, her demeanor changed. "And I felt so bad for Rachel, she was so sad."

"Don't you think that's how Addisyn and her family feels? I bet Addisyn has cried and begged to stay home from school. The same way Rachel did. I bet her brother was very mad and very upset that his sister was hurting." Shelby said. "You hurt another person, the same way someone hurt your sister. You are very much to blame for what happened as much as the other girls are."

"I'm sorry." Quinn whispered.

"I know you are." Shelby said. "However, your consequence was being removed from cheer. In spring, we will see."

"Alright."

"Do you understand what I am saying Quinn?"

"Yes, Ma'am."

"Brittany?"

"I understand."

"San?" Shelby asked the brunette.

"Yeah." The girl whispered so quietly Shelby could barely hear her.

"Good." Shelby said, glad she could finally get through to the kids, even just a little bit. "It's getting a little late, so everyone needs to get downstairs and finish any homework and I will start dinner."

Shelby sent the girls on their way downstairs and she turned around to replace her chair in the corner. When she turned around, Shelby was surprised to see Santana standing behind her.

"Honey?"

"Are you going to spank me?"

"San, I told you, I wanted to talk about what happened today. Your consequence for your behavior is having to leave the Cheerios." Shelby answered. "You listened to me and did not have an attitude, so I see no reason to spank you."

"Are you mad at me still?"

"A little." Shelby honestly answered. "You were so close to walking away from pouring the fabric dye in Addisyn's bag, and I was so proud that you were standing up for what was right, but I am disappointed that you had given in. You're better than that, Santana."

"I'm sorry, Mom." Santana said. "And I will apologize to Addisyn tomorrow."

"Good girl." Shelby said, kissing her daughter's head.

Friday morning came too soon for the three former cheerleaders. Shelby didn't bother to wake the girls up at their usual time to get ready for practice. She saw no point. The girls were turning in their things anyway and that could be done just before school started. When it was time for everyone to get up, Shelby was met with a rather sassy Quinn.

Apparently the teenager had hoped that by morning, Shelby would have changed her mind and let them stay on the squad. But when she saw what time she had been woken up at, she knew Shelby was still just as serious. Quinn had spent the first half hour upon waking, giving Shelby short and snappy answers. Now, Quinn had upgraded to not speaking to Shelby at all.

"Make sure you get the uniforms from the laundry room. I want everything to be handed in today so there is no need to be around Coach Sylvester." Shelby called from the kitchen. She was in the process of cleaning up the breakfast mess, while the girls were gathering their things for school. "Rachel, don't forget your essay for Spanish class."

"I've got it!" Rachel hollered from the staircase.

Shelby tilted her head at the small stack of papers sitting on the counter just a few feet from her. She rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Then how come I'm staring right at it?"

Rachel walked into the kitchen and up to her mom, who pointed her in the direction of her homework. "Opps."

"Yeah, opps." Shelby chuckled. "You've been working on it for two days, it would be a shame if you didn't have it to turn in."

"Thanks, Mom."

"You're welcome." Shelby smiled. "Now, go finish getting ready, we have to leave in five minutes."

"Okay." Rachel turned to leave, stopping at the kitchen table, where Shelby's full travel mug of coffee sat. She took two long sips, then placed the cup down. "You should probably fill your cup before we leave."

"What? I did." Shelby looked over her shoulder and her brows drew together in confusion. "I thought I did anyway."

"Are you positive?" Rachel gave her mother and impish grin.

"You brat!" Shelby exclaimed. "That coffee was perfect!"

"It sure was." Rachel licked her lips and hurried out of the kitchen before her Shelby could snap her with the kitchen towel.

Fifteen minutes later, Shelby and the girls arrived at the school. Shelby had sent Rachel to go find something to do while she took the other three to see Sue, but Rachel didn't want to go alone and instead tagged along with her mom and sisters. She stood off to the side once they entered the large office. The moment Shelby closed the office door, Rachel could feel the tension building with every passing second.

She wasn't sure who was going to blow first. Sue was pissed that she was losing her star cheerleaders. Shelby was angry and frustrated with Sue for behaving like a child and not an adult. Quinn was mad at Shelby. Santana, the tougher girl of the bunch, was trying to not cry and was feeling very guilty for putting everyone though this. And Brittany, she was eerily calm. She had told Shelby she hated her the night before, and felt bad for saying it, but she was not at the point of feeling sorry enough to apologize. At least she was semi-talking to Shelby.

"My children have come to hand in their uniforms." Shelby was the first to speak.

"You're going to regret this." Sue said, crossing her arms over her chest.

"The only one who is going to regret anything is you." Shelby snorted. "Girls, hand Miss Sylvester you bags."

Santana was the first one to get up and give Sue her bag. The tears finally fell down her face and after letting go of her bag, Santana turned to lean into Shelby. "I'm sorry, Mama."

"It's okay, San." Shelby whispered so only the two of them could hear. "Remember what I told you, it's only until spring, if you can prove to me that you're done being a bully."

"I know." Santana replied. "Can I go now?"

"Yes, you may." Shelby nodded, kissing Santana's head. Shelby waited for Santana to leave, followed by Rachel, then she turned to Brittany and Quinn. "Come on girls, let's get it over with."

Quinn didn't bother handing her bag over. Instead she dropped it at her feet and stormed out of the room. Brittany followed suit, except she actually acknowledged Shelby with a glare.

Shelby excused herself from the office and made her way down the hallway to her own. Sitting at her desk, Shelby dropped her bag on the floor and sighed heavily. She understood her daughters were hurt and upset by the consequence chosen, but she knew she needed to stick to her guns. She just hoped she'd be able to survive Brittany and Quinn.
