As such, I dislike reading a detailed description of two guys going at it as much as I dislike listening to it. The reason I can enjoy reading about heterosexual or girl to girl relationships is because they aren’t trying to change me into being like them. One doesn’t need to (because I already am heterosexual), and the other can’t (I’m a guy, can’t be in a girl to girl relationship).

Favorite Types of Fanfics:
Semi-super powerful Naruto (with a description of how he worked hard to earn it or equally dangerous enemies).
Semi-Dark, Dark, or Gray Naruto.
Decently powerful OCs who don't steal the spotlight (unless they're villains who're stealing it from the canon villains).
Pokegirl crossovers that are well written.
Bloodline Naruto.

Things I Don't Like in Fanfics:
Overly powerful OCs who totally steal the spotlight.
Super goody two shoes characters (like the Naruto who smiles at the guy who just punched him in the gut, not because it's a mask or he's enjoying a spar or he has certain mental issues, but because he's emotionally incapable of losing his temper or standing up for himself).
Super stupid Naruto (unless this is done for the sake of comedy, then I like it).
Self-insertions that steal the spotlight for no good reason.
Placing fictional characters in the 'real world' and taking away all the powers that made them so cool to begin with (only one fic is the exception to this, it should be on my favorites list soon).
'False Advertising' (when a fic says something is different than canon yet shows no proof or results of it, like when Naruto receives 'way better' training from Jiraiya on the three year trip yet is no better in any way than the canon Shipuuden Naruto).
Following canon in everything except the details.
When changes from canon don't show any real results in the long run that they should have (My Naruto #1 fic has more than five pages of summarized notes on all the ways the little changes I made from canon currently and will eventually effect the story. I don't expect that much from other fics, just that they consider some of the potential effects that their changes make on the worlds they write about).

Naruto #1: Untitled
Summary of the beginning: Naruto has a twin and two bijuu attack Konoha that fateful day, the other one being sealed inside his twin. The bijuu were not all that was sealed in the twins, and the seal is modified by the Sandaime to compensate for the side effects of this. Also, the history of the Narutoverse was drastically changed by the double biju attack in ways both big and small. All the little changes make for a big impact.
Progress: Enough notes for the first four chapters, first chapter and a half written but undergoing major overhaul, no chapters published. On hold until other stories finished.
SideNote: Despite Naruto's twin sharing my penname, this is not a self-insertion fic. I had already written the first chapter of this fic when I made my account here, and since I didn't know what to put for a penname I decided to take up my first major OC's name.

Naruto #2: Banished with a Bloodline
Summary of the beginning: Naruto gets banished by the council for failing to retrieve Sasuke. On his way to Rice Country, he runs into Kimimaro's corpse, accidentally activating his bloodline. He enters his mindscape and meets Kyuubi in her true form, and she explains his bloodline and how she'll help him. Afterwards he runs into some old friends in Rice Country, and his journey to grow stronger and find his new purpose in life takes off from there.
Progress: Chap.3 written, chap.4 notes done, 1/3 of ch 4 written (by comparison, ch4 is quite a bit longer than ch 3), three chapters published. Remaking chapter 4, breaking into parts, part 1 published.

Naruto #3: Untitled
Summary of the beginning: Naruto is a hanyou of the kitsune sort. Kyuubi attacks to retrieve him when Danzo kills his human parent and abducts him for his Root ANBU... Yondaime finds out, saves Naruto from Root/’Ne’, then dies to seal Kyuubi in Naruto... Things progress to canon until the battle with Haku, using Kyuubi’s chakra breaks the seal on his own ‘other half’, Naruto communicates with Kyuubi shortly thereafter. Naruto’s chakra control is greatly improved (since part of him is no longer sealed away) and his mind and body work better for same reason, he now has access to three vast stores of chakra - his human chakra, his youkai chakra, & Kyuubi’s youkai chakra. Kyuubi starts teaching him how to use his youkai and kitsune powers, and because he has Kyuubi in him he has certain powers that most hanyou don’t have, like the ability to give others kekkei genkai or modify their existing ones. Kyuubi may give him a kekkei genkai, but I’m uncertain about it at this point (probably not)...

Naruto #4: Untitled
Summary of the beginning: Naruto is on his training trip, when a group of his friends decide to pull a surprise birthday party for him at the place he’s currently staying at... He wishes they could all be the greatest ninjas in the world, Kyuubi hears his wish and decides to grant it in an unusual way - the entire group is transported to another dimension, where they receive powers connected to certain races belonging to that dimension and are given a year in that dimension’s time (a day in the Naruto universe) to learn how to use those powers and use any other skills they can pick up while they are there. When they return, they still have the powers (they’re like kekkei genkai now) and any other physical developments or items they picked up from the other world. Also of note - Naruto has become either a hanyou or a Were-Kitsune... May bring individuals from other world back, but haven't decided yet...
Progress: for this story, what you just read is it. However, the 'other dimension' is based on an original RPG I've been working on creating for the past six years, and I have around twelve large (120pg.) notebooks of notes on it, so I do have more than just the summary to go with. Naruto #5: Untitled
Summary of the beginning: Naruto x pokegirls crossover... that's it for now.
Progress: I've gotten all the information from the official Pokegirls website in order to better write this story, but I've only decided on a few things so far, so it'll be a while in coming. On hold until other stories finished.
SideNote: This will be one of the last stories from this list I write, simply because it'll be a Naruto x harem and I'm nowhere near ready in my writing skills to write that type of story yet. Also, I'm trying to decide who all from the Narutoverse will come over with Naruto(imagine Lee or Neji or Gaara in the Pokegirl's world... how would they adjust to/change the world around them).

Naruto #6: Kitsune's Natural Eyes
Summary of the beginning: Kami decides to gift the soon to be born Namikaze Naruto with a bloodline that had never been seen in the Narutoverse before... Kami assigns her pet, Juubi, with the job of hammering out the details and carrying them out. Juubi is unable to go do the job herself, because her mere presence rips the souls out of the living and sends them where they belong in the afterlife... Juubi perceives the plan of humans to summon Kyuubi and have her attack Konoha, and using what she knows, she figures out what will follow (the 4th doing the sealing, whom he would seal Kyuubi into, etc.)... As such, she gives Kyuubi the job of giving her future container the bloodline and instructing him of it’s use when he’s ready for it, as well as giving her permission to put her personal touch on the bloodline... Things go ‘according to plan’ and once Naruto learns of his tenant (Mizuki spills the beans), he meets her in his mindscape that night, where she explains to him all the relevant details of how she came to be there and what she’s going to do now. She explains his bloodline to him and how she’ll be training him to use it in the near future.

SideNote: Bloodline will be a doujutsu with a nature affinity (a nature affinity bloodline is one like Kiba's or Shino's clans has, the ability to communicate with a particular type of creatures and form a powerful bond with an individual or group from that type. One is also capable of techniques that reflect this connection to those creatures). Doujutsu will have five tiers plus an ultimate form (like the sharingan has three tiers and a few variations of its ultimate form).

Naruto #7: Untitled
Summary: An artificial virus created thousands of years ago resulted in all that ninja have come to accept as a part of everyday, natural life. Bloodlines, chakra, and even 'demons' like the Biju. The side effects? the more powerful anyone becomes, the more 'eccentricities' they develop. When Minato Namikaze developed the part of Naruto's seal that kept the Kyuubi from directly influencing his mind, he unknowingly prevented this virus from influencing Naruto's mind - and broke its hold on the Kyuubi.
Progress: Notes on ch.1 and overall story, nothing published. On hold until other stories finished.
SideNote: This is mostly the result of me asking myself 'why does it seem the more powerful a character in Naruto is, the more eccentric they are?' and then trying to come up with an original answer with a background and consequences.

Naruto #8: Shusei Suru Shiki Fuuin
Summary: Due to an altered version of the Shiki Fuuin being used on Naruto, Naruto will eventually become the new Kyuubi.
Progress: ch 1 published, notes on all of ch 2, some writing of ch 2 done.
SideNote: Unlike the majority of 'Naruto becomes Kyuubi' fanfics I've read (and enjoyed), Naruto does not become the new Kyuubi either by a deal with a higher being or by fully absorbing the Kyuubi via the seal. I've only ever read two fanfics in this category that didn't take either of those paths, and neither of them used this particular approach either.

Naruto #9: Untitled
Summary: The one whom helped train the Yondaime Hokage to be a better sealmaster than his first sensei, Jiraiya, takes an interest in and decides to help train and raise Naruto.

Naruto #10: Untitled
Summary: Due to the facts that he's absorbing the Kyuubi's power and Kyuubi is supreme in all the elements, Naruto's elemental nature chakra is what grows as the Kyuubi is absorbed via the seal, rather than the elementally nuetral part of his chakra reserves. This will be an elemental manipulation Naruto story.

SideNote: Because of the background stated above, Naruto's elementally nuetral chakra reserves would be slightly smaller than the average gennin's at the time he fails the academy for the third time, which means things like kage bunshin and large summons will be out of his league for quite a while, as this Naruto will have to increase his elementally nuetral chakra reserves the same way as everyone else - with hard work.

Naruto #11: Untitled
Summary: The reason the ninja were unable to stop the Kyuubi was because its youkai naturally turns all elementally charged energy it comes in contact with into elementally nuetral energy and then absorbs it. This trait is passed down to Naruto via the seal, both giving and taking away power at the same time, and winds up becoming a bloodline for Naruto. This will be a form manipulation Naruto story.

SideNote: This version of Naruto's ability is a sort of reverse of Naruto #10's. Kind of a 'what if I did the opposite of what I did for that story?' story.

What I'm Working On as of 5-12-13: ch4a of #2, ch2 of #6, and a little work on ch2 of #8...

Polls Decisions so far...: #2 & 6 are guaranteed their spots, and I'll keep at #8 on principle - because I hate it when other people start and never continue a story. #10 & 11 were tied for third place in the poll, but I don't intend to write both at the same time, so the votes will have to be one way or the other before I'll start posting either. If and when I finish one of my current stories, #3 is currently next on the list to write. The poll to decide this has been closed, as it has reached 100 voters and that was when I decided to close it. Two new polls will take its place: one to break the tie between #10 and 11 for third place; one to determine the pairing for Naruto in #2. If there is a pairing you want that you don't see in the poll, either PM me with it or include it in a review. Every time I add three girls to the poll, I'll have to restart it just to be fair, though. And, unfortunately, neither Hinata nor Sakura are options for story reasons, so please don't ask for them.

Update: First time I've been on in quite awhile. Sorry for the wait, but within the week (by 5-19-2013) I expect to have two stories getting new chapters, and hopefully soon after that I'll be updating my third work, too. It's good to be back on. Edit: Two new chapters are now up.
