Not only did she finally jump Harry, something that she had just been unsure about doing, but she did it right after being told that one of her oldest friends was turned into a vegetable... because of her... done by her oldest friend... because of her... influenced, no doubt, by a potential mental/emotional disorder... brought about by her use of a dangerous spell... cast by her.

Yeah, Hermione is due for a bad, sleepless night. And given the fact that she is still a young, emotionally unsteady teenager, there's a non-zero chance that she could have her own mental or emotional break, even to the point of self-harm.

Even with instantaneous wizard travel from/to heathrow, this is a very tight itenarary.

Admittedly this is before 9/11, so airport passage was a bit easier than today, but still...

Definitely felt the emotion. It'd probably be more effective, for me personally, from heavier word choice but that's only because I'm so desensitised to words like that.

Firstly let me state that I love your humanisation of Voldemort, he's very reminiscent of Lord Veternari from the discworld novels. Secondly, you have a wonderful writing style that also lays credit to your skills of observation which, if you're still a Congressional intern, would probably be important to have.
